Escapist Dreamers

Summary:

Basically what I think happened in between the debunk saga and uu since i have a theory i spent hours on abt why uu!Wifies is the same clone that Kenadian befriended

Chapter 1: An Unfamiliarly Clean Slate

Summary:

Wifies also knew the story about Wato and the Omz mask, or at least some of it. He knew of the damage and such that it caused. He knew how Wato and Kenadian met in that prison. He knew about the destruction both of them had caused. He knew of the players that they had killed. He turned the idea over and over again in his head. He knew that it wasn’t voluntary. He knew that neither of them meant any harm. He knew that they had no choice. It was still sickening though. The blood of all those innocent players being on Kenadian and Wato’s hands, it ached to think about.

What a strange and rather cruel reality he lived in.

Anyhow, he was here now. No amount of swimming in his thoughts could change that, and he honestly didn't exactly want to. Staying out here with Kenadian and Wato wasn't quite what he preffered to spend the first few months after all of this drama doing, but it was certainly better than being scrapped for parts.

Chapter Text

Wifies got up and looked around him. He was in the middle of a lush grass field peppered with bright yellow dandelions. The sun shone down brightly on his face, the placement telling him that the time was a bit past four P.M. To his right was a small birch house with two short stories. It was tiny, but it was built with care.

Right, this was his private survival world with Kenadian and Wato. Wifies blinked a few times. The events of the past four days hadn't been fully processed. In that time, he had met Kenadian, discovered that he was a clone, defeated his creator with her, met Wato, and started a new shared survival world.

It really was a lot to take in. What a strange thing it is to realize that your memories were faked and put in your brain by one more powerful than you.

He had been told about the whole “Wifies Debunk” saga. He knew that Kenadian never meant to save him, xe wanted to expose him as a liar and a fraud. The fact that fae did say that ze now saw Wifies as a very respectable player and such did comfort him, but he couldn’t quite shake the thought that it was all by chance. If she had decided to debunk him slightly earlier, he wouldn’t be in this situation. If she had come slightly later, he would be dead.

He headed to the house to see them again.

Wifies walked over the hill and passed the small fence to the right of the entrance with a yellow sheep in it. He creaked the door open and peered inside to see a feline figure carefully placing a dandelion in a pot on the table in front of the couch. "Ken?" he called, hoping to get her attention. The cat hybrid turned its head to him. "Hey, Wifies!" they chirped. "Wato’s upstairs, I've been decorating the house a bit." Wifies scanned the room, spotting a few new details.

There were a few small doodles on the walls made with acrylic paint, a painting of a silly yellow and green cat next to each of the trapdoor windows on either side of the couch, and a painting of two dogs over the utility area with the furnace and such.

"You can come in, by the way!" Kenadian stated rather suddenly, evidently embarassed by the fact that they had forgotten to invite Wifies in and that he was simply standing rather awkwardly in the middle of the doorway. Wifies accepted the invite and sat down on the couch next to Kenadian. "Your decorations are really pretty." He smiled rather weakly, voice almost at a whisper. "They certainly have some character to them"

“Thanks, I'm not the best at drawing, but I'm really happy with how the paintings turned out," Kenadian chuckled.

They fell into a silence. Neither of them quite knew what to say. Wifies didn't really have much experience with social interaction and Kenadian wasn't that good at it either.

Wifies scanned the room, taking in every little detail: the torches in each corner of the room, the way the "Cat" music disc hung on the item frame over the utility area in front of him, every stroke of Kenadian’s paintings and other surroundings.

This whole situation was rather interesting. It was certainly new, that's for sure. Living with Kenadian and Wato would definitely take some getting used to.

Wifies thought about how he had gotten here. It felt so surreal. Less than a week ago, he'd been absorbed in his thoughts about how to solve the escape room. Now, he was free to do pretty much anything he wanted. He never even had to consider doing another escape room if he didn't want to. Then, he was so apowerless that he was about to accept the idea that he was going to be scrapped for parts. Now, he had not only freedom, but also control over the entire Wifies channel.

Still, something felt wrong. He supposed that it may have been because there was nothing to escape anymore. The door of the house was so easy to get through, it was a no brainer. He probably should've been glad that he wasn't imprisoned in a bedrock box anymore, but those bedrock boxes were all he had ever known. He was a copy programmed purely for escape room content and nothing else, after all. He was outside of his natural habitat.

Wifies’ eyes began to close, and Kenadian noticed. “You seem tired,” fae stated. “Do you want to go sleep?” The clone gave a small nod in reply, and she took him upstairs to where she had prepared beds.

“Hey, Wifies.” Wifies heard a familiar voice when he was halfway up the stairs. “Hi, Wato,” he answered. Wato seemed to be focused on whatever they were doing. She didn’t say anything to him other than a simple greeting to acknowledge his presence.

Wifies scanned the room. It was cozy, it had torches and more silly doodles on the walls. There were three tables with chairs facing the wall opposite the one you first saw when going up the stairs. All of them had a small symbol painted on the wall. The leftmost had a yin yang, the middle one had Kenadian’s signature yellow and green symbol, and the one in the corner had a pink rose with a green background. Wato sat there on the chair in the corner, seeming to write something on a book on his table.

The headboards of the beds were to the left of the staircase. The beds themselves were placed like stairs, going up one block each time. Each one also had a singular chest behind it. The purple one in the corner was on ground level like a normal bed. The yellow one to the left of that was elevated by a singular block and had a short ladder leading up to it. The last bed was elevated by yet another block and had a slightly longer ladder. This one was to the left the yellow bed and was green.

“That one’s yours.” Kenadian climbed up to his yellow bed as Wifies crawled into his own purple one. “Wato’s documenting some notable stuff about the mask.” Wifies shifted his blanket a bit, moving it to better cover his body. “That’s good, documentation is important,” he stated, not quite knowing what else to say. “Yeah, it really is.” Kenadian said. “Goodnight, Wifies.” “Goodnight, Ken,” Wifies replied quietly, the nickname still feeling rather strange on his tongue.

Notes:

Ken is oftentimes js called Kenadian bc this is Clonefies’ internal monologue and he hasnt gotten comfortable w her enough to use a nickname even tho hes alrdy been told to

Ok bye owo
