Spoiled

Summary:

He wouldn't have even realized he'd fallen asleep on the bench halfway through the session if Vein hadn't woken him up. He didn't expect him to come today, which made him think it was a dream for the first ten seconds, and when he finally came to his senses, he almost fell to the ground.

Or

Veinfei but Vein like to spoil Xia Fei

Work Text:

Xia Fei had been incredibly busy at university these past few days, and everything seemed endless. Tests, photoshoots, more tests, and more photoshoots. He was constantly sleep-deprived and distracted, which meant he couldn't do anything right, and as a result, he had to work harder, and the cycle repeated.

He wouldn't have even realized he'd fallen asleep on the bench halfway through the session if Vein hadn't woken him up. He didn't expect him to come today, which made him think it was a dream for the first ten seconds, and when he finally came to his senses, he almost fell to the ground.

"O-oh, Laoban!" Xia Fei adjusted his hair and clothes, getting to his feet, but he did it too quickly because he felt dizzy and fell face first into Vein's chest. He wanted to move away from him immediately after that, but a hand around his shoulders stopped him.

"You're overworking yourself again." He noticed, which made Xia Fei blush with embarrassment. He didn't even have to say anything, Vein already knew everything just by looking at him. "Maybe you should take a break for a while, as your boss I can arrange that for you."

For a moment, Xia Fei wanted to refuse, but on the other hand, he could really use at least a day where he wouldn't have to think about what he would have to do later. "If it's not too much trouble." He muttered, closing his eyes for a moment, which turned out to be a mistake because he immediately drifted off.

Vein smiled and patted him on the head, then waved his hand at the woman and informed her that Xia Fei would have to be replaced by someone else for the next week. She wasn't surprised by this and had clearly been thinking about it for a while, given the state he was in. Everyone has already noticed it.

He lifted Xia Fei into his arms and carried him to his car, placing him in the passenger seat, then fastened his seat belt and got behind the wheel. All along the way he looked from time to time at his sleeping face, which he found really cute. He wouldn't complain if he could wake up to a sight like that, but he'd think about that later.

It wasn't long before they arrived at his apartment, where he had to carry him again. The elevator was a great convenience so they reached the door in no time. He immediately went to the bedroom, placing Xia Fei on his large bed, not caring that he was still wearing his shoes and fully dressed.

He sat down to one side and wanted to light a cigarette, but eventually gave up, as he didn't want the smell of smoke to somehow wake Xia Fei up. It was unlikely, but he also didn't want him to inhale it, he had been trying not to smoke around him for some time now. He didn't even know when he started caring about him so much, to the point that he started denying himself such things.

He didn't really care that he had him as his favorite. No one should have been surprised, besides his appearance, Xia Fei had a charming personality and was very cute, so he couldn't help himself from being drawn to him. He loved spoiling adorable things, which made him completely whipped for him.

"Felix." He whispered, putting his hand in his hair, gently touching it. It was so soft to the touch, even though it had been bleached. "Xia Fei." He murmured, moving closer until their faces were almost touching. "Fei" He added, to which Xia Fei muttered something quietly in his sleep and stretched his hand towards Vein as if he wanted to grab something.

Vein thought that he had woken him up, but as he moved closer, Xia Fei hugged him, burying his face in his chest, as if cuddling a fluffy dog, or rather a fox at this point. He had to admit, it was very pleasant and cute. He closed his eyes, relaxed, and fell asleep surprisingly quickly. This was likely due to Xia Fei's presence, which always had a calming effect on him.

When Xia Fei woke up, he felt hot for some reason, but he was also too comfortable to get up. He opened his eyes slightly and realized he was lying in Vein's arms, who was deeply asleep, so he didn't want to squirm, so he went back to sleep, snuggling even closer to him. It wasn't the first time they'd slept like this, though he wondered a bit how he'd gotten there.

The second time he woke up alone, he was in different clothes and it was bright outside, so he probably slept all day and night. It was good because he felt much better, rested and had more energy.

He sat up and looked around the room, but Vein was nowhere to be seen. He got out of bed and headed toward the living room, yet he wasn't there either. For a moment, he thought he had something important to do and went out first, but then he heard water running in the bathroom. He returned to Vein's bedroom and saw that the door was slightly ajar.

He decided to wait for him. He saw his clothes lying on the side, so he decided to change into them. When he was halfway through taking off his pants, he heard whistling. "Wow." He immediately turned around and saw Vein standing there with a smirk on his face.

"Laoban!?" Xia Fei quickly put on his pants, almost falling over.

"Don't be shy, it's nothing I haven't seen before." Vein laughed, then looked at his phone. "If you're ready, let's go."

"Where?"

"You'll see."

Vein pulled into the parking lot and headed toward a restaurant, where they apparently already had reservations. A waiter showed them to a table and brought them menus. Xia Fei looked through them, but firstly, everything was expensive, and secondly, his diet didn't really allow for it. He frowned and sighed in frustration, which Vein understood.

"Choose whatever you want, I'll pay, besides, I don't want anyone to think you're being starved in this industry." He said, and Xia Fei immediately took the menu back in his hand and chose a few things, but when he wanted to take the wine, Vein stopped him. "There will be time for that later."

Xia Fei blinked a few times, not quite understanding what he meant, but nodded. It seemed that Vein had already planned their entire day, but he wasn't about to share it just yet.

When their food arrived, Xia Fei immediately dug into it while Vein just watched him with a proud smile. He loved the fact that he felt so comfortable around him. They started chatting in the meantime, though it was mostly Xia Fei who did the talking and Vein listened to him attentively, not paying attention to how other people looked at them.

He leaned forward and rested his head on his hand, watching Xia Fei's face change as he talked about different topics. He'd known for a long time how he felt about him, but he didn't want to rush it so as not to scare him off. He preferred to take it slowly until Xia Fei was ready, and it seemed he was on the right track.

They spent a good hour like this before Xia Fei was full, so Vein asked for the bill and paid. They left the restaurant, and Vein placed his hand on Xia Fei's waist, which surprised him a bit. It was a bold move considering they were in public, but in response to the gesture, he saw a wide smile appear on Xia Fei's face. This made him have to stop himself from just pulling him into a corner and kissing him.

"Let's move on" He coughed and started walking with him towards the amusement park, he just hoped that a crowd of people wouldn't come to get Xia Fei's autograph, because then they wouldn't have peace for the rest of the day.

He heard his phone ring and pulled it out to see who it was. When he saw the name "Liu Xiao" on the screen, he rejected the call and sent a message.

Vein
What do you want? I'm busy.

Liu Xiao
Busy messing around with Felix?

Vein
Did I complain about you fucking with that officer? No.

Liu Xiao
Fair point.

“Who are you texting?” Xia Fei asked as he noticed that Vein seemed to be focused on something other than him, so he demanded to know the reason why. It even sounded a bit like he was jealous, and Vein took his hand from his waist and stroked his head, messing up his hair.

"Liu Xiao, don't worry about it." He replied, not wanting to pursue the topic further since Xia Fei was no longer working for him. He knew he felt bad about spying on Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, so he pointed at a claw machine. "Maybe you'd like to try it?"

Before Xia Fei could even think about Liu Xiao, he immediately turned his attention to the machine and ran over to it. He pulled some coins out of his pocket and tried several times, but each time the result was the same. He knew it was usually a scam to spend as much money as possible, but he couldn't help himself.

Vein just watched his struggles with a smile that never wavered. The only thing that was swirling in his head was how cute Xia Fei was. Sometimes he thought he was doing it on purpose, yet he never told him he liked to spoil adorable things. He hadn't seen him act the same way around anyone else, but maybe it was because he wasn't as close to anyone else.

Xia Fei had always been expressive and showed his emotions freely but never to this extent. Only with him, that's why Vein was pleased. Some might say he had Xia Fei wrapped around his finger, but the truth was that it was actually quite the opposite. He is ready to fulfill his every whim just to see the sincerest smile on his face.

When he noticed Xia Fei sighing in defeat at not winning anything, he laughed and pointed to the snack stand. Even if they had just been to a restaurant, there was still some space for desert.

Vein bought him cotton candy, which he almost ate immediately. "How about this rollercoaster?" Xia Fei asked, pointing to one more extreme one.

"It's not the best idea to go there right after eating." He remarked, to which Xia Fei nodded and pointed to the photo booth.

"Let's go take some pictures together then!" He said, grabbing Vein's hand and started pulling him towards it, practically pushing him inside. In the first one, Vein had his arm around his shoulder, in the next they were making silly faces, and in the last one, Xia Fei got closer and placed a kiss on his cheek. "You look so stupid here." He laughed, pointing to a photo of Vein with his tongue sticking out and one eye slightly squinting.

"You don't look any better yourself." He said, pretending to be offended, then flicked his finger on his forehead. "If you're so confident, how about a haunted house?"

"Do you think I'll get scared? Dream on!"

He did.

Vein could barely contain his laughter as he saw how carefully Xia Fei took each step. He kept looking around, thinking that something was about to pop out from somewhere, and he was not wrong. As they entered the room, they heard a loud screech that made Xia Fei instinctively jump back and bumped straight into Vein.

"Why are you scared? I remember you were involved in something like that on Halloween."

"That was different! I knew about everything then." He said as if feeling insulted, then heard a growl and saw a man wearing a butcher mask with glowing red eyes. He had a knife in his hand and was slowly walking towards them. "You were in on it too!"

"But I'm not afraid." He replied, letting himself be pulled again. Xia Fei ran in the other direction, holding Vein tightly by the wrist. When he was sure they were far enough away, he breathed a sigh of relief.

"I didn't expect-" He began to speak, then opened another door, from which a man in strange blue clothes appeared. "ZOMBIE!" He screamed, running away again, but this time he completely forgot about Vein, who looked at the man who was clearly having fun with this job.

When Vein managed to find Xia Fei, who had returned to the very beginning, they went out that way, and as an "apology" that Xia Fei had been demanding for some reason, he won him a small plush deer. It wasn't difficult considering that he had very good aim and didn't even pay attention to the fact that the man was trying to make his task more challenging.

The next thing that caught Xia Fei's attention was the water slide, so he went there immediately, urging Vein to go with him. He didn't particularly like being wet, so he passed this time, promising to go with him to other attractions. Xia Fei didn't look pleased, but he went anyway.

Vein, on the other hand, stood on the platform where the rest of the crowd was so that he could have a good view of Xia Fei. At some point, everyone moved away from him, but he wasn't entirely sure why. He didn't pay much attention to it, and that was his mistake. As the wagons were moving quickly downhill, all the water splashed out, and Vein suffered the most, as a rather strong wave hit him directly. Ah, that's why everyone moved away.

His clothes were soaked, as was his hair, which now lay limply on his head. At least his phone was waterproof, though that didn't exactly improve the current situation. When Xia Fei came out and saw what he looked like, he couldn't help but laugh.

"Are you enjoying this?"

"Yeah, actually, very much so." He replied and patted Vein on the shoulder, then pulled out his phone and took a picture of him. "You look like a fox after a heavy rain."

Vein ignored this and went to one of the dryers, starting with his hair, which immediately became very fluffy. Meanwhile, Xia Fei saw a stall and immediately went to it, buying something from the seller, obviously satisfied with his purchase. As he walked back towards Vein, he kept his hands behind his back, not wanting him to see what he had.

He approached him with a smile and slapped both of Vein's cheeks at once, which now were covered with colorful stickers. On one side they were yellow and red, and on the other they were lemon yellow and light blue. He turned on the camera on his phone and took a picture, showing it to him.

"It suits you." Xia Fei said, looking closely at his handiwork.

If it were anyone other than Xia Fei, he would have taken them off immediately, but since he likes them, it wouldn't hurt to leave them on. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw golden crowns for children, so he went over and bought the largest one, then placed it on Xia Fei's head.

"Suits you too."

"Since I am the prince, then you will be my servant." Xia Fei said proudly, adjusting the crown on his head.

Vein snorted. "Don't forget who your boss is."

"Sorry, sorry." He chuckled, then saw another attraction that seemed interesting to him, so he grabbed Vein's hand, leading him that way.

They spent almost the entire day like that, going back and forth, trying a little bit of everything. Xia Fei had more fun than ever, since he arrived here, he hadn't had much time to relax like this. On top of that, he had no one to hang out with, he didn't really consider his roommate a friend, and most people in the modeling industry were two-faced.

Once it got dark, Vein decided to go up the Ferris wheel. The views from the top were breathtaking, with the entire city visible, illuminated by lamps, billboards, and passing cars. Xia Fei was glued to the window, looking closely, Vein was sure he saw stars twinkling in his eyes.

However, Vein's attention was not focused on the view outside the window, but rather on Xia Fei. "Beautiful." He muttered under his breath.

"Isn't it!" Xia Fei agreed, but that wasn't quite what Vein had in mind, though he didn't correct him.

When they finally reached the bottom, they decided to call it a day, though Vein started leading him to a different spot than where he had parked his car. However, Xia Fei did not complain, even if he was a little tired already.

They sat together on a bench by the river, gazing at the stars. Neither of them spoke, simply enjoying each other's presence. They saw people passing by and even at this hour there were quite a few of them. Xia Fei saw a couple nearby. The boy said something that made the girl cry, but after a moment they kissed and hugged.

"It would be nice to have someone like that." Xia Fei stated and turned his gaze towards Vein, who had been staring at him for a moment. "Laoban-" He started to speak, but was interrupted by a kiss. He hadn't expected something like this from Vein, but he'd be lying if he said he hadn't dreamed of a moment like this.

He raised his hand and hesitated a bit before placing it on Vein's cheek, kissing him back. He closed his eyes, not even realizing he had opened his mouth, which Vein took as encouragement. He began to run out of air, so he gently pushed him away with his other hand.

"Lao-"

"Finish it and you'll regret it." Vein threatened him.

"Weiying." He muttered, pulling him in for a kiss again, but after a moment they both realized they were going too far. This was no place for such things, so they decided to go back to the car.

Throughout the entire ride back, Vein kept looking at Xia Fei, who was just as impatient. When they finally entered the apartment, the moment the door closed behind them, they crashed into each other again. Vein had always maintained self-control, but now all inhibitions were gone. Now he had Xia Fei all to himself.

Unfortunately, they hadn't thought through one thing, namely that Liu Xiao was sitting on the couch, clearly having been waiting for Vein for a while now, judging by how much of the book he has read until now.

"Am I interrupting?" He asked, causing them both to stop immediately and looked in his direction. "I think so." He answered himself and stood up, walking to the door. They had to step aside so Liu Xiao could leave. "Reply to my messages when you're done."

Once they were actually alone, they stared at each other for a while, then started laughing.

"How about the bedroom?" Vein suggested.

"Yeah, that's a good idea.”
