Swoosh
He missed it.
Batmans hand missed the other side.
This was it.
As Batman excepted this fact he started into the endless abyss bellow him this was the end.
Or was it?
One last chance to save everyone.
The joker.
“Joker..please help us..”the desperation showing in his voice.
“No! I’m not going to help you!At least if this city is destroyed, I’ll die knowing I’m your greatest enemy! I’m gonna have to die to know it!” Joker eyes were tearing up at this as he slumped down into a pitiful sulk.
“Shut up joker, if there’s no Gotham then I’ll never get to fight you again”Batman even surprised himself at these words and yet he ment it.
“What?”disbelief evident on his face.
“You're the reason why I get up at 4:00 in the afternoon and pump iron until my chest is positively sick. You're the reason I've given up a life spent with Russian ballerinas and lady activewear models. And if it wasn't for you, I never would have learned how connected I am with all these people. And you. So if you help me save Gotham, you'll help me save us.” He was rambling now ,saying things that he hoped joker resonated with but yet all of it was still true.
“Did you just say “us”?”the joker audibly gasped at what Batman said he couldn’t believe it “us” ?! Him and Batman .
“Yeah. Batman and the Joker. What do you say?”
“You had me at shut up.”the joker was pretty much crying now but the reference to serendipity was what made Batman feel something…a real feeling.But he cant
That’s not how it’s supposed to go ,he wasn’t ment to love feel for the joker.
And suddenly joker was in front of him connected from the other side. There was around an inch between them and Batman found himself feeling very warm.
“How are your abs bro?” He thought this question would stop him acting stupid.he doesn’t actually like the joker.Does he?.
“To much flab not enough ab , why?”
“Because I need you to crunch them.”
As everyone on the strange human bridge crunched there abs ,the two plates slowly
Came together.

Celebrations were roared through Gotham
Fireworks boomed in the distance and slowly the human towers where becoming smaller and smaller . He had to say something anything …and he did.
“I’m just going to come out and say it, .. I hate you, joker” Batman was definitely feeling something now.
“GASP!” Joker was stunned for a moment then when he regained himself he replied “ I hate you to.”
“I Hate you more” they were close now and with every word they got closer.
“ I hate you the most.”
“I hate you forever. “ They were so close.
So very close . Joker was bitting his Lip clearly enjoying what ever they where doing . But Batman still smiled back he was also enjoying?, liking? ,happy ?. He was … what was he feeling . Well by his words he had never had any , never seen one . I guess this was the exception. But this was the first time in a while he had smiled like this , he liked it , and only increased when jokers mouth started quivering.

4 months since he has smiled like that
4 months since he had last seen the joker
4 months for him to realise that ‘hate’ was a replacement for all the unsaid things that he should of said
And 4 months to come to terms with what those unsaid things where
