Late at night the vampire princess was bored. No one else in Ooo was normally up at night, unless going on adventures or all-nighters
during sleepovers. But being the only one who stays up all night, it tends to get boring. Out of boredom, she started to play a tune on her bass. She started strumming but nothing good came out. She dropped her axe-bass and fell back on the couch. She laid on her back and stared at her ceiling. She was thinking about her ex, Bonnibel.
She was remembering a time when they went to a hidden forest with a bunch of apple trees. She decided to visit the forest at 3 or 4 am. She placed her sun hat on her head, just in case she would be there until the sun came up, she wore a white tank top with light blue jeans and tall red boots. She slung her axe-bass over her shoulder as she turned the doorknob to the exit. As she flew to the forest she saw the candy kingdom, she was filled with dread as she remembered all the memories with Bonnibel. She slowed down for a moment before getting back on track.
When she arrived at the forest, she hopped over a tree and landed on the light green grass. Marceline heard something, but shrugged it off. She sat against a bush and pricked an apple from a tree and started sucking out the red from it. She laid her head back and closed her eyes. After a few moments, she felt a presence above her. She slightly opened her eyes as she saw someone looking down at her.
She jumped up and pointed her axe at the person. As her eyes adjusted to the light, she saw Bonnibel, her ex. “Marceline?” she gasped. “What are you doing here?!” Marceline lowered her axe as she unbraced. “I was just packing up my science equipment after an experiment, and that's when I saw you!”. Marceline had a million questions, but before I could say any of them Bonnibel cut her off. “Do you want an apple.?” She asked as she pulled two apples off a tree and tossed one to Marceline. They both sat down as Bonnibel yawned. They chatted a little bit as they finished their apples.
“So what were you experimenting on anyways?” Marceline wondered. “I was experimentingg..” Bonnibel started slurring her words right before she fell on Marceline’s shoulder and fell asleep. “Uh, Bonni?” She stood there for a moment thinking about what to do. She decided to pick her up carefully and take her to her kingdom room. She made sure she didn’t wake her up as she scooped her up into her arms. Bonnibel fit perfectly into her chest as she comfortably lay against her. Marceline jumped down onto her windowsill. She tried her best to avoid making noise to not alarm any guards. She placed her down onto her overly cushioned bed. Marceline placed her blanket on Bonnibel. She had missed her over their breakup and missed her attention.
Just as she was about to leave, Bonnibel had grabbed her hand. Marceline’s eyes lit up at the action. “Just stay. Just for tonight.”. “A-are you sure? I don’t want to-“ She was cut off by Bonnibel dragging her hand down onto the bed. “Stay.” She lay down next to her and Bonnibel wrapped her arms around her. They both quickly fell asleep because it turned into day.
In the morning they were woken by a guard banging at the door, explaining that Finn and Jake were requesting her. As they woke up in each other's arms, Bonnibel was heavily blushing. “Oh! Um! Give me a moment!”. They made eye contact and quickly jumped out of bed. “I guess I have to go.” Marceline said sheepishly. “I suppose so.”.
“See you tonight..?”. Bonnibel nodded as she turned away. Before Bonnibel exited her room, Marceline grabbed her head and turned it towards her as she pressed her face against hers. “See you later.”
