Chapter Text
The valley seems much smaller than they were last time we came here. The town of Yvtaezl. It was much larger than I remembered, only a farming village when I was here last. Quite frankly, I don't understand how so much infrastructure could be developed in just a single year. I knew the strength of the town was incredible but it still threw me for a loop.
After walking to the center of town what became apparent was a missing person's poster that looked worn at the edges. The name on the page matched mine but the face was distorted. More like a monster than a person. I tore the page off the wall and put in my pocket. Night was growing closer, and there was an inn nearby so I collected the coins from my pocket, walked in, and asked for a room. I had enough for the night I was staying, and enough left over to keep myself safely afloat. I walked into the room I had been granted. I entered what I can only describe as a trance-like state that ended with me being tucked in, and drifting to sleep. I could not hold back my tired eyes.
The night flew by, and by the time morning came I had barely enough energy to make my morning coffee. It had been quite a while since I last made myself coffee, or even drunk it for that matter. I thought about leaving to go find somewhere to get breakfast, but before that, I looked out the small, small, window and realized that it was already the middle of the day with the sun right above us. I rushed to dress myself before exiting my room, but the hallway that was there last night, led only to a void. I tried to rush back but my door was not there. I was trapped. My thoughts rushed around my head and I spun around aimlessly. That was until a faint glow hit my eyes. I rushed towards it. It meant leaving this world behind, but I knew there was nothing left in this void for me, so I blasted right through.
