I want the kind of love that inspires fairytales
Soul crushing, maddening, forever love
The kind that shapes the earth and
Scars the universe
The kind that exists in
The stillness of the sky
And the roar of waves
The kind that strays long after we're gone
Worthy of a novel
Can't be contained in the writing of a single poem
The kind of love that
Writers throughout history
Struggle and hope to capture in their works
Hopeless romance if you will
It holds you heart close and you closer
People will say it's impossible
Young dreams and mindless hope
And maybe it is
Maybe somedays, I'll believe it is
But when I look into your eyes
And I see a piece of my forever love
Soul crushing, maddening, forever love
My soul believes once more that
That kind of love is possible
Outside of my dreams and
Outside of the fairytales I desperately cling to
