Chapter Text
As weird as it sounded, Nico di Angelo enjoyed being in the infirmary.
Not that his injuries would always be bearable – but because it was just another excuse to be alone with his boyfriend, the shockingly attractive — (Uhm...) good-looking son of Apollo.
Tonight, only the infirmary’s lights were on.
Both boys knew the camp’s rules well. Mr. D spent his time either mispronouncing campers’ names (new ones, and other times campers he’d known for years,) or yelling loud enough at Chiron about the orientation film and The Camp Rule Book that the entire building would wobble.
But since Nico hadn't gotten the chance to talk to Will since last Wednesday when he took off with Lester (the god of the sun) and Meg to deal with some ‘unfinished business,’ it felt as if there was no other choice than to get up out of bed and knock vigorously on cabin 7’s door.
The lights of the smaller cabin were warm — the wooden ceiling strung with fairy lights, and the entire room now smelt only of his boyfriend — the strong aroma of fresh honey and wildflowers.
Nico sat on a cot as Will bandaged and cleaned his wounds.
‘Percy kept trying to persuade Annabeth to sing at the campfire, did you see?’ Nico swung his legs.
‘Personally speaking… If I were her, I’d be embarrassed.
‘Like, out-of-my-mind embarrassed.’
He nodded.
‘Okay then, I’ll keep that in mind.’ said Will, looking up at Nico solemnly.
The son of Hades didn't even get the time to blush before Mr. D stormed into the infirmary. Both boys tensed. The frown on his face did not look happy at all…
‘What are you two doing up this late?’ Dionysus sneered, crossing his arms.
‘Nico's arm was bugging him,’ said Will, pausing wrapping up his boyfriend's arm.
‘If he had waited any longer…the outcome wouldn’t have been great.’
Mr.D’s fed-up expression didn’t change immediately, but after three minutes of consecutive glaring, his shoulders relaxed.
‘Fine, I’ll let you off this time.’ Dionysus heaved.
‘Just…don’t let the cleaning harpies eat you.’
