Work Text:
the sky over jeju had gone deep indigo by the time they made it to the accommodation, skin salty from the sea air, hair still damp, the smell of barbecue drifting in from the courtyard.
in his shared room, haru flopped onto his bed face-up with a sigh, black hair fanning out over the white pillowcase. his white 'real nexz' shirt clung a little at the collar from the humididty, gray shorts riding up his thighs slightly. he draped an arm over his eyes like he'd just run a marathon instead of splashing around with everyone all afternoon.
the door cracked open with a soft click. geon stepped in, toweling his blond hair with one hand, phone in the other. his own white shirt was wrinkled from being pulled on lazily, gray shorts hanging a touch too big on his hips. he paused at the sight of haru already starfished on the mattress.
"you're kidding," geon said, tossing his phone onto his own mattress beside haru's. "we just got free time here and you're already in bed?"
haru didn't move his arm. "i've been playing all day. im one with the mattress now."
geon walked closer, dropping his towel onto the bedside table. "the fun literally just started. yu's cooking, moya's setting up some games-"
"wake me up in twenty minutes," haru mumbled. "then i'll come out."
geon scoffed, a smile tugging at his mouth. "if haru says he'll sleep for 'twenty minutes', he'll sleep forever."
haru's arm slid down enough for one dark eye to peek up at him. "you know me too well," he said airily, laughing.
geon climbed onto the edge of the mattress, bracing one knee beside haru's hip. "quickly, let's go!" he hooked his fingers under the hem of haru's shirt and gave it a tug. "up. come on, angel."
haru ignored the way his heart fluttered, and he let himself be jostled for exactly two seconds before his hand shot out, grabbing geon's wrist. in one small pull, he dragged geon off balance.
"hey-!" geon toppled forward with a surprised yelp, catching himself with his palms on either side of haru's shoulders. their chests bumped, knees knocking into haru's thigh as momentum carried him halfway on top of the older boy.
haru's laugh rumbled against geon's sternum. "you really thought you could move me?"
geon huffed, but made no effort to get up. his cheeks were already flushed, blond bangs falling into his eyes. "i was trying to be a good influence."
"mm..." haru shifted under him, one arm sliding lazily across geon's lower back, holding him there. "you're really bad at it."
from the hallway, the sound of running water and the soft buzz of an electric toothbrush could be heard. haru tilted his head toward the door, knowing who it was without having to see them. "seita!" he called, raising his voice without bothering to get up. "call me when you're done brushing your teeth!"
in the doorway, seita appeared, one hand still raised to his mouth, toothbrush hanging from it, foam at the corners of his lips. he took in the sight in a single glance: geon sprawled half on top of haru, haru's arm snug around geon's waist, their legs tangled on top of the sheets. seita's eyes narrowed just a fraction. without a word, he reached in, flicked the light switch off, and pulled the door almost closed as he walked away, the hallway light shrinking into a thin strip across the floor.
geon blinked in the sudden dim. "did he just-"
haru's grin was visible even in the low light. "yeah."
for a beat, neither of them moved. haru could feel the rapid flutter of geon's heartbeat where their chests touched, feel the way geon's weight hovered like he was ready to push up and scramble away but...didn't.
"you're heavy," haru said lightly, though his hand on geon's back pressed down, contradicting the complaint.
"you're the one that pulled me down," geon muttered, voice softer now, close to haru's ear. "i was trying to get you up."
"you failed," haru replied, and then, before geon could respond, haru shifted his legs and rolled. in one controlled motion, he flipped them, using the angle of his hips and the grip on geon's waist. the mattress dipped, sheets rustling, and then haru was on top, knees bracketing geon's thighs, settling easily astride him.
geon's breath caught. "h-hey," he breathed out, staring up at haru. his hands had flown to haru's sides automatically, fingers curling into the thin cotton of his shirt. "why are you being so-" geon cut himself off.
"so what?" haru leaned down slightly, hair falling forward, casting shadows over his eyes.
geon swallowed, throat bobbing. "bossy..."
a slow, amused smile curved on haru's lips. "you say that like you don't like it."
geon's usual quick-fire wit flickered, then fizzled. "i didn't say that..."
haru rocked his hips down just a fraction, testing. the soft friction of fabric meeting fabric made geon inhale sharply, fingers tightening at haru's waist.
"you were so loud at the beach," haru murmured, eyes dropping to geon's parted lips, then back up. "but you get so quiet so fast when i do this." he rolled his hips again, a little more deliberately this time. the smooth drag of his weight over geon's lap sent a rush of heat straight through both of them. geon's lashes fluttered, a soft sound catching in his throat that he tried, and failed, to turn into a laugh.
"shut up," geon breathed, the words coming out thinner than he intended.
haru tilted his head. "make me."
geon's cheeks turned a deeper shade of pink. for a second, it looked like he'd push up and flip them back and make some smart comment. instead, his fingers slid up along haru's sides, bunching the t-shirt slightly, fingertips brushing bare skin at the hem .
"i cant," he admitted quietly. "not when you're...like this."
something pleased flashed in haru's eyes at the confession. he leaned down, closing the distance until their noses almost brushed, his weight settling lower across geon's hips in a way that made it extremely clear what 'like this' meant.
"then let me," haru said softly.
geon's breath fanned warm over haru's lips. "you're so-"
haru didn't wait for the end of the sentence, he tipped forward the last centimeter, pressing his lips to geons. the kiss started gentle and testing. geon made a small surprised sound, then melted, lips parting just enough to invite haru in. haru's hand slid from geon's waist up under the edge of his shirt at the side, palm warm against bare skin, thumb stroking slowly back and forth. geon shivered. haru deepened the kiss, angling his head, moving with an easy confidence that made geon's thoughts blue. the room felt smaller, the muted night sound from outside dulling under the sound of their breathing and the soft creak of the mattress as haru shifted to chase every little sound geon made.
when they finally broke apart for air, geon was flushed, lips swollen, chest rising and falling a little too fast. hari's own breathing was heavier, pupils blown, black hair slightly mussed.
"you okay?" haru murmured, thumb brushing just under geon's chest in a lazy cirle, the pad of his finger making geon's skin jump.
geon nodded quickly. "yeah. i-i'm good. just..."
haru slid his hand higher under ths hirt, feeling the heat of geon's skin, stopping just under his collarbone, fingers splaying there. "just what?"
"just..." geon's voice dropped, eyes flickering up to meet haru's, wide and pleading in a way that didn't match his usual teasing bravado. "don't stop..."
the words seemed to flip a switch in haru. his smile sharpened into something hotter. "knew you'd start begging fast."
geon's face flared even rdder. "i am not."
haru ground his hips down again, slower this time, drawing a helpless, broken sound from geon's throat that vut off his protest. haru watched him intently, biting back his own reaction, clearly enjoying every little twitch and gasp from the younger. "say that again," haru whispered, leaning closer to geon's ear. "look me in the eye and tell me you're not begging."
geon squeezed his eyes shut instead, fingers slip;ing from haru's sides to curl into the sheets. "you're mean," he managed, voice trembling. "you know i can't..."
haru's soft chuckle grazed his skin. "you love it." he pressed a trail of light, teasing kisses along geon's jaw, then down, finding that sensitive spot just below his collarbone. he sucked lightly, just enough to pull blood to the surface, then soothed the spot with his tongue. garched subtly into him, one hand flying up to haru's shoulder like he needed something solid to hold on to.
"har-" the name dissolved into a whine he couldn't control.
"relax," haru murmured against his skin, voice low and reassuring even as his mouth worked another mark a little further in, where a t-shirt collar would easily cover it. "i'm not putting them anywhere anyone else can see."
geon let out a shaky laugh. "you're thinking about other people right now?"
"im thinking about how only we need to know," haru said, kissing the fresh mark softly. "you and me."
the intimacy of the words hit geon as hard as the way haru's body moved against his. his usual playful front crumbled completely, replaced by open, desperate want.
"haru," he said again, this time like a plea. "please."
haru drew back just enough to meet his eyes. "please what, puppy?"
geon swallowed, throat tight. "please....don't be gentle..."
that pulled a quiet, disbelieving laugh from haru, heat spreading bright in his gaze. "you really are too easy to get worked up," he said, but there was affection threaded through the tease. his hands slid down, gripping geon's hips firmly over the thin fabric, holding him in place. their bodies aligned, breath mingling, the air between them charged and thick. "good thing seita has some sense." haru murmured, voice dropping even lower, eyes never leaving geon's. "because i'm not letting you go for a while."
geon's only answer was a nod that was almost a shiver, eyes blown wide, lips parted in surrender. haru leaned in, kissing him again - deeper, messier, the slow grind of their bodies growing more urgent as the night outside pressed in around the quiet, dark room.
the matress creaked quietly. the faint sound of laughter and clinking dishes drifted in from outside, distant and irrelevant as haru tightened his grip on geon's hips and the world narrowed to the heat between them.
the rest of the night, for the, blurred into muffled breaths, tangled limbs, and the kind of closeness that made both of them forget they'd ever been tired.
