How to get your gamer boyfriend to remember you exist

Summary:

"Hey, Phi, when do you think Keen will realise that Sea cares way more about him than those games he plays?" Java confers with the man beside him. Surf simply shrugs and pulls Java in by an arm around his shoulders.

"No idea."

Or; Five times Keen 'fails' to get Sea to stop playing games and pay attention to him and one time he succeeds

Work Text:

It's a typical day in the life of Keen.

He wakes up, messages his boyfriend good morning, he eats the breakfast his mother prepared in a hurry, then heads to the dance studio to practice with the boys before parting ways to meet said boyfriend for work with the company.

Who is this boyfriend you may be wondering? Well it's Sea of course! Though you already knew that right? They're pretty damn bad at hiding it after all.

But that's beside the point.

The real point is that this boyfriend of his: his sweet, caring, tall, handsome, deep-voiced boyfriend was once again nestled in the corner of the workshop studio, his phone cradled in landscape position within his hands, thumbs tapping wildly and eyes darting back and forth across the screen.

Keen sighs, shaking his head as he watches on. This whole time while Keen was acting out his practice scene, he'd thought that maybe Sea was just quietly watching him, revising what he'd need to add or remove when they join together again to act it out as a pair.

Though of course that wasn't the case. Sea would rather burn his retinas staring intensely at his phone screen, playing games than watch his boyfriend.

"Sea, how did I do?" Keen jogs over to Sea, figuring he may as well test him.

"You did great, Keen." Sea mutters, a curse falling through his lips shortly after as he makes a mistake in his game, but he continues playing. Barely even glancing at Keen.

"Any critiques?" Keen plops down beside Sea, pulling his knees up and forcefully slipping his hand through the crook of Sea's arm, hooking their elbows together while he rests his head on Sea's shoulder, watching as Sea's thumbs drag and tap away at the screen as he dodges enemies.

Keen doesn't notice the way Sea leans into him closer, or the way he tilts his phone screen towards Keen that little bit more, accepting Keen's company so easily, and he'd completely missed the way Sea's entire body had relaxed the moment Keen had sat beside him.

"Nope." He pops the 'P', very assured in his response.

Keen's shoulders drop, exhaling dejectedly through his nose. If his boyfriend wasn't playing games all the time, he'd see just how hard Keen was trying in this scene.

"Though I thought you looked cute when you acted jealous. Your cheeks get all puffy and you pout your lips like this." Sea pauses his game for a moment just to twist in Keen's grip, facing him head on as he demonstrates Keen's exact expression from when he'd acted out Niran's jealousy of Cheewa's admirers just moments ago.

"Ai Sea!" Keen playfully slaps at Sea's arm while Sea laughs heartily in that loud, natural way that Keen loved so much, reaching a hand up to pinch at Keen's pink, blush-dusted puffy cheek of which Keen bats away in faux irritation.

Sea smiles softly at Keen once more, eyes crinkling, before going straight back to his game, allowing Keen to snuggle into his side, Keen shifting himself to throw a leg over Sea's, always the yearner for skinship.

Huh, so maybe he was paying attention, Keen thought idly to himself.

Keen hides the growing grin that made its way onto his face into the fabric of Sea's soft sweater, all prior annoyance evaporating just as swiftly as it came as he settles into Sea's side, and for the remainder of their small break, Keen happily watches Sea play away.

Keen just about manages to nab the seat beside Sea on the coach to the hotel they were headed to for this year's GMM outing, almost fighting with Java just to get it, but he shoves his frenemy over to where Surf was sitting behind them instead, laughing mockingly at Java as he slips into the aisle seat with ease.

Java flips him off playfully and Keen slaps his hand away, turning around properly to settle into his seat.

"Sea–" Keen starts to call his partner's name, but the moment he peers beside him, he's met with the far too familiar sight of Sea with his Switch clutched in his grip, earphones plugged straight into the console, the buds stuffed into both ears.

Keen sighs. "Of course." he mutters under his breath, and pulls out his own phone, choosing to scroll through twitter and instagram while they wait for the rest of the group to board the coach.

There's noise all around them. The other actors chatted away, laughing, taking photos and going live for the fans to see.

Keen remains mostly silent. Just messing around with his phone until eventually the bus starts to take off and they're on their way to the hotel.

"Pst, Keen." Keen feels a tap on his shoulder from behind him. Keen closes his phone and snaps his head back, glaring at the perpetrator. Of course, he was met with Java's smug little face.

"Is your boyfriend ignoring you again?" Java questions, eyes glancing to where Sea was still buried in his games. Keen scoffs.

"Ignoring me, my ass. He doesn't ignore me, he's just playing games to pass the time, is all." Keen excuses on behalf of his boyfriend. He knows that Sea rarely socialises during trips like these, it was just in his nature as an introvert.

"You sure? I haven't seen him put that Switch down since he got on the bus." Java lifts an eyebrow accusingly.

"Phi Surf, tell Java to stop meddling in my business." Keen shifts his attention to the man who'd been sitting quietly during the whole interaction.

"Java, stop messing with Keen, this is gonna be a long ride, I don't want a fight to break out before we even get there." Java huffs, but leans back in his seat. Keen sticks his tongue out triumphantly at him, simply because he could, and turns around swiftly before Java could hit him.

When he glanced to his left, instead of Sea's face being buried in his screen, the console was now in his lap, game paused and his right earbud was removed from his ear, eyes now meeting Keen's.

"What was that all about?" Sea asks softly, blinking in a way that told Keen that Sea knew already what they'd been talking about. Keen's lips close between his teeth bashfully and he clears his throat.

"Nothing much. Just Java being Java. How's the game?" Keen changes the subject quickly, nodding down to the Switch that Sea had momentarily neglected.

"It's getting kind of boring, to be honest." Sea explains offhandedly—a straight up lie. Sea could never get bored of playing games—pulling the other earbud out entirely.

"Ahh, I see." Keen nods understandingly, fingers fiddling with his phone, tracing the line of his phone case unconsciously, eyes slightly downcast. Keen doesn't notice how Sea's attention drifted to his fidgeting hands.

"You wanna have a go?" Sea abruptly picks up the console and proffers it towards Keen. Keen lifts an eyebrow sceptically.

"You're letting me play?" He asks in disbelief. Sea had never let Keen play Sea's games. Like, the games Sea had actual built-up progress on, hundreds of levels worth, even.

"Yeah, why not?" Sea shrugs noncommittally.

"I thought you wouldn't want me messing around with your progress." Keen timidly takes the Switch offered to him and Sea picks up the earbuds again, placing the right one in his own ear and passing off the left one for Keen to use.

"I don't care for things like that. If I lose my place I can always restart." Sea assures with a gentle, closed-mouth smile, that small little press of lips that accentuated his bread-like cheeks adorably.

"Okay Paew, if you say so." Keen can't help but grin back, a little giddy as he adjusts himself in his seat so that he's curled more into Sea's side, their knees pressed right up against one another and their shoulders were completely flush, leaving no room between them for even air to pass through.

Keen shoves the earbud into his ear so he can hear the game and he un-pauses, screen facing them both.

Unaware of what he was supposed to be doing, Sea takes the time to explain what Keen needs to do, the younger nodding along seriously, following the advice the same way as if he'd been given life-changing tips on how to portray a character's body language while acting.

Behind them, too lost in their own little world to notice, Java snickers, shaking his head as he peers over the seat to watch his two friends nestled in close, both of them now buried within the game.

"Hey, Phi, when do you think Keen will realise that Sea cares way more about him than those games he plays?" Java confers with the man beside him. Surf simply shrugs and pulls Java in by an arm around his shoulders.

"No idea."

Keen's just got back home from filming another queue for Weirdo-101. It was kind of late, and they had work again tomorrow, so Keen was sure Sea would be home and in bed already. Or well, he hoped.

But Keen still had too much energy in his system, still too pumped up from the day of filming with so many of his favourite people. And what better way to pass the time, and tire himself out than to go live and yap away about his day to the fans.

Keen fits in a quick shower before flopping down, stomach first onto his bed, propping up his phone against the base board of the bed before going straight to tiktok and clicking the live button.

Only seconds later, people are flooding in. Even at 11pm his fans still find the time to watch his lives instead of sleeping.

Keen greets everyone joining, answering questions from those who were wondering why Keen was still up when he had a schedule the next day. Keen rambles on about anything and everything, making sure not to spoil anything from their filming endeavours, of course.

About 20 minutes in, Keen spots the question he was waiting for.

"'Where's Sea?'" Keen reads aloud, pausing for a second to make a show of thinking. "Probably playing games," he jokes. "Nah, he's probably sleeping. Well I'd hope he is."

"He's been playing games so much recently, I wonder if he even sleeps." Keen laughs half-heartedly, though the second he says that, a notification pops up at the top of his phone screen, reading; 'sea_ta_lay requested to join your live'

"Aow–wait a second, guys." Keen clicks on the notification and accepts the request.

Sea's image pops up on the screen in a box just below his own, he was wearing his headphones and from what he could tell, he seemed to have showered as well, his hair a little messy, but dry, and he was wearing a sleepshirt.

"Sea, why are you still up?" Keen interrogates, squinting at him through the screen, and he sits up properly on his bed, taking his phone into his hand and holding it up to see him better.

"I could ask you the same thing." Sea lifts a brow accusingly.

"Don't play that game with me, Khun Sea. I know you're playing games when you should be in bed, aren't you? I was just saying to the chat that you've been so addicted to your games recently, and here we are again," Keen starts going off, talking so damn fast that Sea could barely keep up with what he was saying.

"Keen–Ai Keen, calm down. Look, I'm not playing games this time, I swear." Sea picks up his phone to pan around to his set up, his PC is off, monitors dark, the only light being the reflection of his own image.

"I was just about to get into bed when I saw your live notif so I thought I'd keep you company." Sea clarifies, though something in his eyes and the way his voice lilts slightly, Keen felt a little sceptical.

"Why don't I believe you? You're leaving something out, I can sense it." Keen assesses openly, face nearing the screen, eyes narrowed. Sea laughs a little nervously, hand reaching up to cup at the back of his neck, his own eyes averted.

"Well…i may have been playing mobile games right when i got the notification…" Sea confesses and Keen snaps his fingers showfully.

"I knew it. You see what I gotta deal with, guys?" Keen shakes his head forlornly and Sea just chuckles.

"To be honest, I just came here to tell you to go to bed. We've gotta be at the place by 6.30." Sea reminds Keen gently, voice shifting into a tone he typically only used when talking to Keen in private; that deep, soothing timbre that shook Keen's heart to the core.

"I'll get off, only if you promise not to play anymore games tonight, even mobile games." Keen points at Sea's image and Sea places a hand dramatically over his heart.

"Sea promises not to play games because Nong Keen said so." Keen rolls his eyes but that unavoidably fond smile rises to his lips.

"Okay okay, I believe you."

"If you need company to fall asleep, you can just call me, you know." Sea mentions out of nowhere.

"You said it, na." Keen grins and then a flash of realisation comes to him.

Cheeks flushing visibly, Keen's eyes drift to the chat at the bottom of the screen as messages zoom by, no doubt filled with fans teasing them.

"Uhh, okay! Bye guys. Sleep well everyone. Jub-jub!" Keen waves at the camera exaggeratedly and hurriedly clicks the 'end live' button before any more messages about how flustered he was come tumbling through.

"Phew." Keen releases a sigh of relief, taking a second to gather himself before he comes out of tiktok entirely, navigating to his Line app where he picks out Sea's contact, instantly pressing the call icon.

"Hello na, khun Suay (beautiful)," Sea greets, that cheeky little smile he always does clear in his voice.

"Don't 'khun Suay' me, Ai Sea, why did you say that? You know that's gonna be clipped and shared all over socials." Keen whines, palm to his forehead and eyes screwed shut as he falls back on his bed, head hitting the pillows.

"How would you know to call me if I didn't tell you?"

"Hmm, maybe you could, I don't know, send a text instead of declaring it to 3 thousand people?" Keen states matter-of-factly, and Sea snickers.

"Sorry, naaa~"

"Hmpf, fine. At least you're not playing games."

"I promised you, didn't I?"

"Whatever, whatever. Let's go to sleep, yeah? Sweet dreams, Paew."

"Sweet dreams, my Nong Suay."

Keen falls asleep listening to the sounds of his partner breathing on the other line, and the biggest, content smile on his face.

One of the biggest mistakes Keen could have made was allowing Aungpao to suggest all the Clo'ver members, plus Sea—the honorary member, and of course Keen's faen—go to an arcade on their day off.

If he could turn back time just two hours in the past, the first thing he would do is boycott the word 'Arcade' from being mentioned even once.

And here he stood, full of regret as he hovered behind Sea, of whom was glued to the car-racing game like a moth to a flame, or well, a Sea to a videogame.

Now, it wouldn't have been too bad if Sea was on it for only maybe 15 minutes. But Sea had been here for an hour already.

Barcode, Ashi and Aungpao have already migrated to the claw machines on the other side of the arcade while Keen was stuck minding his videogame-addicted partner.

"Sea, wanna play bowling?" Keen asks from just behind where Sea was seated in the make-shift race car contraption.

"In a minute, Keno, lemme just beat this high score." Sea doesn't even look away from the screen in front of him, his left hand lifting from the steering wheel for a mere second just to wave Keen off.

"But you've been playing this for over an hour already." Keen whines, pouting with his arms crossed over his chest as he sidled more into Sea's peripheral vision.

"Have I really?" Much to Keen's surprise, Sea abandons the game, forfeiting the race entirely to finally bring his attention to Keen, who looked incredibly unimpressed. So much so that Sea actually has to fight a wince.

"Yes, Sea. We've been here for an hour and a half already and you've been glued to this game for the last hour of it." Keen states with barely contained exasperation.

Sea jumps up from the racecar at a speed so out of character for Sea that it genuinely startled Keen a bit.

"Shit, I'm sorry baby. I didn't realise I'd been here for that long." Sea apologises swiftly, reaching both hands out to grab Keen's, pulling his arms away from his chest and letting them join, extended between them.

Keen sighs, taking in Sea's remorseful expression. "It's fine." He shrugs. Sea's face hardens.

"No, it's not. Lemme make it up to you." Sea insists. Keen tilts his head.

"How're you gonna do that?"

"We're going to grab the other guys, and we're gonna play bowling like you wanted. And then after, I'll take us to dinner wherever you want, I'll pay." Sea announced, with full assurance.

In all honesty. Other than being a bit irritated that Sea had spent so much of the time they were supposed to spend together as a group gaming, he wasn't really mad at him. Not like when Sea had disappeared for three days without even so much as a text back.

"You promise?" Keen puts on his best 'i'm still sulking face', just because he could, and because he knew that Sea was already dead-set on his plan to 'make up' he figured he should just let it happen. After all, it's free food.

"I promise." Sea responds seriously, thumbs running over Keen's knuckles tenderly.

"Fine. We're going to that sushi restaurant I told you about before." Keen voices with a bit of sass integrated in his light, agreeable tone. But he wasn't really serious, he just wanted to see how far he could take Sea's generosity. Sea would surely have him pick somewhere more affordable anyway—

"Done." Sea agrees easily, no hesitation whatsoever.

Keen startles, and he stares up at Sea in disbelief.

"Really? It's super expensive there, Sea. Honestly I was joking, we can go somewhere else." Keen backtracks, completely taken aback by Sea's swift approval.

"Keen, I don't care how much money I spend, as long as you get what you want." Sea professes.

"You mean as long as I'm no longer mad at you?" Keen teases.

"Keen." A hit of warning enters that deep, almost sultry tone and Keen presses his lips together timidly, quickly thinking of something witty to say to stop himself from thinking too much about the way Sea just said his name.

"Okay, Khun sugar daddy. It's a deal." Keen turned his right hand within Sea's grip so that they were now shaking hands instead of holding hands. Sea smiles, relieved.

"Come on, let's go bowling."

Keen walks through into Sea's bedroom from the bathroom, freshly showered and already in his pyjamas, hair dried, soft and fluffy upon his head.

Honestly, it was futile of Keen to wish for the sight of Sea already in bed, waiting for him, arms open wide ready to cuddle the night away. It really was like wishing for rain in the desert.

Instead, the first thing Keen sees when he enters the room, the door clicking shut behind him, was the sight of Sea in his gaming chair, hunched over his desk, headphones donned while one hand controls the mouse, the other clicking away at the keys of his keyboard.

On the main screen directly in front of Sea was one of Sea's all time favourite RPG'S, one Keen himself had played alongside him before, but Keen, not being as into video games as Sea was, ended up dropping it pretty quickly, much more interested in raising his beloved shrimp.

Though Keen wished that for once, just one time, Sea could spend an entire day without playing games.

He gets it, he really does. Everyone has their favourite things. But Keen misses his boyfriend.

Sighing softly, Keen passes behind Sea and flops down onto Sea's bed audibly, mentally hoping that Sea would notice him and abandon the game entirely to come cuddle him.

Sea doesn't so much as register his presence.

"Seaaaa," Keen calls from the bed, shifting onto his stomach, folding his arms beneath his head, pouting at Sea who barely acknowledges him.

"Huh?" Sea doesn't look away from the screen, and the click-clacks of his keys echo throughout the room. Keen just about managed to stifle a groan of frustration. This man was hopeless.

"Come to bed, na?" Keen invites gently.

"Just a minute, na Keen. I'll be right there." Sea responds offhandedly, like an afterthought that'd already been scripted. As always, it's 'just a minute, Keen'.

"How many times is he gonna say, 'just a minute' when it's never 'just a minute'. This guy says one thing, means another." Keen complains to himself beneath his breath, grumbling and glaring at the back of Sea's head.

Giving his partner the benefit of the doubt, Keen waits a few more minutes.

"Fine. If you're not coming to me. I'll just go to you." Thinking he'd been patient enough, Keen pushes himself up and swings his legs over the side of the bed, hopping up into his feet and he crosses the mere meter distance across the room.

Keen doesn't say a word, he simply pulls Sea's chair away from the desk just enough so that he could fit in between the space between Sea and the desk.

"Aow, what are you–?" Sea doesn't even get the question out when Keen pulls Sea's hands away from the keyboard and mouse, moving Sea's arms like a marionette without the strings and without further warning, Keen climbs into Sea's lap.

"Ai Keen–" Keen cuts him off, face so close to Sea's that their noses were practically touching.

"Shh. If you won't come to bed, I'll have to get my cuddles in this way. Deal with it, gamerboy."

Sea's mouth clamps shut and his eyes blink rapidly in that way that told Keen that he was genuinely stunned. Keen smirks and settles more firmly into Sea's lap, wrapping his arms around Sea's midsection and tucking his head into Sea's neck.

"Uhh." Sea's hands stayed hovering aimlessly in the air bracketing either side of Keen's body, suddenly unsure of what he should be doing.

"Go on, continue gaming. I'm not stopping you." Keen mutters, words vaguely muffled against the skin of Sea's neck, arms squeezing even tighter, akin to a snake capturing its prey.

Sea untenses, huffing fondly. He knows that Keen would still rather Sea stop gaming and go to bed with him. Keen never liked how Sea was gaming so much all the time, and he doesn't hold back in sharing these thoughts either. Sea knows this very well.

But he never stops Sea from playing. Never tells him he's wrong for playing games when he should be doing other, more productive things. Keen understands how much Sea loves to play games and he'll never get in the way of that. It was just who he was, ever accepting and supportive, no matter how much he wanted all of Sea's attention to himself.

But deep down all Keen wants is for Sea to just put the damn games down from time to time and live in the moment with Keen.

And if it means Keen has to take matters into his own hand like this, he will. At least they're both getting what they want then.

Sea smiles softly, allowing his boyfriend to cling to him like a sloth to a tree branch, and he makes a decision.

Scooting his chair back towards his desk, he ALT + F4's out of the game completely, not evening caring for unsaved data, he can resume another time. He quietly shuts down the PC and removes his headphones, hooking them over his mic-stand.

Unable to resist his warm, cuddly boyfriend any longer, Sea's arms curl around Keen's torso, pulling him closer, his cheek nuzzling against Keen's soft, freshly washed hair and he feels Keen sigh against his neck, his whole body uncoiling, relaxing within Sea's hold.

"Come on, sweetheart. Let's go to bed. I'm sorry for keeping you waiting so long." Sea whispers tenderly into Keen's hair, momentarily pressing a small kiss to his temple before shifting the grip of his arms so that he's holding just below Keen's thighs.

Leaving enough time for Keen to gather what it was that Sea intended to do, Keen unwraps his arms from around Sea's torso and, instead, hooks them around Sea's shoulders.

Keen simply lets himself be lifted as Sea stands from the chair, his own legs wrapping around Sea's waist properly and Sea cradles him tightly within his hold, wordlessly shoving the chair out of the way as he takes Keen to the bed where he lays Keen down gently upon the sheets.

"Mm." Keen hums when Sea lets him go, leaving him laying there against the pillows and he extends his arms upwards, the message clear. 'Come here and cuddle me this instant.' his eyes speak.

"Alright, alright." Sea laughs, all fond and loving and he switches off the main light before crawling into the twin-sized bottom bunk where the second he lay, Keen was on him like an octopus, all limbs wrapped around Sea's body, effectively trapping him for the duration of the night ahead.

"My clingy baby." Sea smiles, shrouded by the blanket of darkness encasing the room around them. His hand absently caresses Keen's dark mop of hair, twirling the strands and threading his fingers through thick locks.

"I wouldn't be so clingy if you didn't neglect me for games." Keen grumbles into Se's shoulder, cheek smushed, making the words come out slightly garbled.

"Keen…" There's that guilt again.

"It's okay, I don't mind. I just want you close to me right now." Keen admits, pushing the whole gaming thing aside once again in favour of peace.

"Then I'll stay here like this with you for the whole night." Sea accepts Keen's request, holding his lover close, and feeling the way Keen sinks into him.

"Good. Love you."

"I love you too, my Keno. Sweet dreams."

"Mmm, night night, Paew."

"Guys, I just don't know what to do. He won't stop playing those damn games. It's like I have to fight for his attention." Keen whines, pacing around the break room the Clo'ver boys were using in between practices.

"Have you talked to him about it?" Ashi, ever the responsible one asks the most obvious question. Keen sighs and plops down audibly onto the sofa beside him.

"Sort of. I've told him off a lot, but then I always just let him off." Keen shrugs. Everyone else glances between one another, sharing a knowing look.

"I think that's the problem here, phi." Aungpao speaks up from his spot on the armrest of the sofa to Keen's left.

"What do you mean, Pao?" Keen looks up at him.

"Well, you never stop him." Pao states, like it was obvious.

"But he loves playing games, why should I stop him from doing something he loves?" Keen rambles, arms waving about.

"Aren't you someone he loves?" Barcode points out.

"..." Keen really doesn't have a retort to that one.

"I think you have to do something, I don't know, wild to get his attention." Ashi pipes up.

"Like what?" Keen questions, just about ready to give up on all hope.

"Keen, I've seen you dance. We've all seen you dance."

"You want me to dance." Keen's face scrunched up in confusion.

"I don't mean dance like we usually dance. Dance…seductively." Ashi expands, already recoiling for the reaction he expected.

"HUH?" Keen's voice echoes through the room, pure bafflement coating his features.

"During practice, I've seen the way Sea's eyes are glued to you when you dance, when you do body rolls or bite your lip in concentration, he's always watching." Barcode mentions casually, and Keen just couldn't believe this.

"Really?"

"Yes, he's pretty damn obvious with it to be honest." Pao adds.

"What we're saying is, do a sexy little dance and he'll be putty in your hands." Ashi nods solidly, completely assured in his words. Keen was reluctant, but maybe they were right.

"You really think it'll work?"

"YES." They all agree in unison.

Well, it was worth a try, Keen supposed.

And so here he was, in his own bedroom on a Friday night. He managed to get Sea to agree to stay over, and as a plus his family were visiting relatives outside of Bangkok, so they had the house to themselves.

Sea was lounging on Keen's bed, propped up on the pillows, his phone in his hand like it usually was, and you don't even need Keen to tell you what he's doing, it's pretty much common knowledge by now.

Keen had a plan in place; he'd set up his phone on a tripod across from the bed but not facing it, just far enough that Sea could get a full body view of him. He'd have a slower, sensual song queued up then pretend he's practicing new choreography.

The moves alone should tip Sea off into questioning why his choreography is suddenly not at all his usual style.

Well, Keen hoped. His cheeks heated up at the mere thought that maybe this wouldn't even work at all and he'd have just learned this damn sensual dance for no reason.

Taking another glance at Sea on the bed, who was still playing away on his phone, Keen takes a deep breath and sets the scene.

His outfit wasn't all that revealing, but it wasn't his typical sleepwear either. He was wearing one of Sea's t-shirts, one he'd stolen ages ago and simply never returned. With Sea's larger frame, the hem of the shirt came down to his mid-thigh, the neck wider on him, showing off his collarbones.

He was wearing a pair of sleep-shorts beneath, but his shortest pair, ensuring that they were barely even visible, his legs on full display from his thighs to the tips of his toes.

Keen hopes his friends are right about this.

Without any more thought, leaving no more time for him to potentially give up, Keen grabs his tripod from atop of his desk and sets it up, the poles audibly clicking in place as he pulls them out to their highest length.

He places his phone in the holder, securing it in place and then he opens the camera on his phone to make it more believable that he was just recording a simple dance routine, like he's done many a time before, just not necessarily with Sea in the room.

On his tablet that he had laying on his desktop, he pressed the little play icon on the song Ashi had sent him earlier, and the intro instrumental of a slow-tempo song played through the tinny tablet speakers, not loud, but not exactly unmissable to the ears of someone just a few metres from him.

Keen lets it play for a bit, mentally counting when the start of his choreography was going to come in, then he presses the record button on his phone, eyes locked on his own image on the screen as he starts dancing.

The movements were simple, but involved almost his entire body; the arc of his hips and back as he rolls his body rhythmically, arms extended in the air above him only to drag down his chest almost sensually, until they reach the hem of his t-shirt.

Out of the corner of Keen's eye, he sees movement somewhere on the bed. Keen pays it no attention and he continues dancing.

As the song builds up, the fingers of his left hand hook beneath the hem and slowly, teasingly drags the fabric up his torso, only on that left side, the side Sea was currently on, and each inch he uncovered reveals soft skin and light muscles, but before he could pull it all the way up to his chest, he drops the fabric, letting it settle back down over his thighs.

Keen finally allows himself to take a glance at Sea, his phone was nowhere in sight and his eyes were locked onto Keen's body, following the way Keen rolls his hips to the music.

Keen smirks, then bites his lip to cover the fact, he couldn't break character just yet. Unbeknownst to him, that action just added to the fire in Sea's eyes.

Sea was enraptured by the sight before him, Keen in Sea's clothes, showing off his body to a damn camera, rolling his hips, arching his back, his hands feeling up his own chest before climbing up to his throat, head tilting back like he was in pleasure.

Holy shit.

What the hell was Keen doing?

Sea was utterly speechless by the time the song stopped and the silence that enclosed around them felt stifling.

"What was that?" Sea finally utters, clearing his throat when he realised how heavy his voice sounded.

Keen tears his eyes away from the phone, looking at Sea all surprised, like he hadn't even realised Sea was there. He schools his features, however, and turns off the recording.

"Oh that? Just some new choreography the guys were showing me." Keen answers flippantly, with a non-committal shrug.

"For what?" Sea scoots himself up to the end of the bed, for once, his entire attention was on Keen.

"Why'd you wanna know?" Keen smiles innocently, leaning against the doorframe of his closed bedroom door.

"Who are you going to show that recording to? Were you going to post it?" Sea doesn't even bother answering him, just keeps on spouting his own questions.

"Hmm, I don't think I'll tell you." Keen taps at his chin then grins at him, so clearly teasing.

"Don't post it." Sea orders, expression hard, voice laced with a possessiveness that Keen didn't even know Sea had. It was a delicious sound.

"Why not? I was just dancing. What's wrong, didn't you like it? I think I was doing pretty damn good. Maybe I should perform it on stage—" the second the words threatened to spill from his lips Sea was up from the bed and on him before Keen could even blink.

Pinning Keen to the doorframe, Sea doesn't even give Keen a chance to ask what the hell he was doing before his mouth was capturing Keen's lips harshly, kissing Keen in a way he'd never had the pleasure of experiencing before.

It was heavy, and heady, like Sea was trying to suck all the breath from Keen's lungs, like he was trying to consume him from the inside out, like he wasn't going to give Keen the chance to know anything but the taste of Sea's mouth, the pressure of his lips on his, the weight of his body pressing him against the frame, the wood digging uncomfortably into his back but Keen didn't give a damn.

Their lips detach with an audibly wet sound, and breathless, all Keen could do was stare up at Sea, eyes wide and kiss-swollen lips parted in astonishment.

"Because this sight? You, in my clothes, all gorgeous and pliant like this? It's just for me. No one else gets to see you like this, understood?" Sea lifts an eyebrow, awaiting Keen's response to his command.

"Uh huh." Keen nods, too stunned to respond with proper words.

"Good. Never dance like that for anyone else, okay?"

"I won't, I promise. I wasn't even going to send the video anywhere." Keen admits, and then promptly snaps his mouth shut. Sea narrows his eyes at him, clearly picking up on Keen's little slip up.

"Then why'd you record it?" Sea asks, confusion lacing his features.

"Um, well, to make you think I wasn't dancing for you." Keen explains bashfully, a nervous smile on his face.

"Keen, why did you really do all this? I know damn well it wasn't just 'choreography'."

"Don't be mad if i tell you?" Keen winces as he says it.

"Keen." Sea's tone drops in that way that makes Keen's knees a little weak, but he gathers himself.

"Okay, fine. I just wanted your attention." Keen confessed on an outward breath, looking down at his feet.

"My attention?" Sea repeats, blinking.

"Yeah. You've been playing games so much recently I was…jealous of all the attention your games were getting." Keen says it offhandedly, but his expression reveals how he truly felt. A mixture of embarrassment and frustration, not with Sea, but himself, for doing all this.

"Oh, honey..." Sea's entire demeanour softens.

"So I did all this in hopes you'd finally put the game down and look at me." Keen finally meets Sea's eyes again, those honey brown eyes that were swimming in an ocean of guilt and regret as he processes what Keen was saying.

"I'm sorry you felt you needed to do all of that to get my attention, Keen. If i'd known i was that absorbed, i would have stopped immediately, i never realised how much i was neglecting you." Sea looked so damn troubled, like he couldn't even believe himself.

"It's okay, Sea. At least we're having this conversation now." Keen brings a hand up to Sea's arm, smiling softly. Sea shakes his head and places his hand over Keen's, gently turning it in his hold so that they are palm-to-palm and bringing their joined hands down between their bodies.

"It's not okay, Keen. Stop saying that. You're my boyfriend, the love of my life. You are my main priority." And the sheer sincerity of the words felt so powerful that it was as if the world stopped spinning for a moment.

"From here on out, I promise to spend more time with you. I'll stop gaming." Sea promises, Keen gently shakes his head, squeezing Sea's hand in his.

"I don't want you to stop doing something you love, Sea. I know how happy you are when you play your games, I also know how happy you are when you're with me. I never doubt how much you love me. I just want you to cut back on it a little, na? Just a little. I want my clingy Paew back."

"I can do that." Sea nods profusely, a small smile making its way to his lips and Keen just couldn't help but mirror him.

"Thank you for telling me, darling. I know it took a lot. You even made a whole dance just to capture my attention."

"Ugh, blame the guys for that." Keen laughs.

"Maybe I should thank them. I got to see you dance like that."

"And you're the only one who will."

"In that case. Could you do it again? This time in front of me, not the camera, na." Sea smirks.

"You really want that?" Keen says, a little taken aback.

"Baby, you looked fucking gorgeous, i couldn't take my eyes off of you." Sea confesses.

"Really?" Keen lifts a brow, seemingly unbelieving.

"Have you seen yourself?" Sea rebuttals matter-of-factly. Keen looks down at himself, then back up at Sea.

"I have."

"Well then, my pretty boy. Dance for me?" Sea smiles, all soft and loving.

"As you wish, my Phi Paew."

"So, how'd it go? Did our plan work?" Pao comes running up to Keen the second he enters the dance studio.

Keen doesn't even get a chance to answer before the man behind him speaks.

"It worked perfectly." Sea responds with a friendly smile, stepping in right beside Keen who flushes visibly.

"Oh–" Pao clamps his mouth shut. All three members looked nervously between one another, expecting Sea to scold them.

"Don't worry, guys. Keen told me everything. If anything I should be thanking you." All tension dissipated from the room. Though Keen was seconds away from digging a hole at his feet and burying himself in it.

"No problem, na Ai Sea. Did you like the dance? We gave him pointers and everything." Barcode comes up and pats Sea solidly on his shoulder.

"Ai Code!" Keen exasperates, facepalming so hard that the sound reverberated around the room.

Sea chuckles from beside him and Keen pulls his hand from his face just to glare at him, that cute little pout on his lips once again.

Sea just pulls Keen into his side with a hand on his waist and leans down to kiss the pout away.

The whole room erupts in screams, Ashi covers Pao's eyes and Barcode silently wishes Kin was here to see this.

"Okay lovebirds, break it up, we got new choreography to practice." Ashi informs good-naturedly.

Keen's the first to pull back, cheeks heating up wildly and he clears his throat, taking a step away from Sea.

"You, go sit." Keen says awkwardly, pointing at the back corner where there was a seat, ready for Sea to sit and watch Keen practice.

"Oh you're staying, Phi?" Pao asks, not used to Sea just coming to join their practice sessions like this.

"Of course."

"You're not going to just sit there and play games are you?" Keen jokes out of habit, but swiftly freezes when he realised what he'd said.

"No, why would I play games when my beautiful boyfriend is right here." Sea flirts, luckily not at all offended by the comment. Keen playfully slaps his arm.

"Okay, okay, we get it, you love your boyfriend. Just go over there. Your love sickens me." Ashi quips, rolling his eyes.

"Fine, fine." Sea raises his hands in surrender then does as told, retreating to the back of  the room.

Keen watches him, a small fond smile rising to his lips.

His friends were total idiots sometimes, but they do give good advice.

At least they managed to help him get his gamer boyfriend to remember he exists. And that's all Keen could ever ask for.
