It was a very very rainy and stormy night, rain tapping down on the parking lots gravel and the windows of the bands van. It was quiet in the van as all of its occupants were asleep, well mostly everybody…
Yumi would be rolling around in her bed, clutching her pillow as the rain continued. The rockstar was never one to admit any one of her fears, she never really admitted them at all actually. Yet no matter how many times she told herself to get over it, she’d always end up scared anyway. There was just something about thunderstorms that always managed to scare her, she didn’t know why honestly…
Yumi would look over to the edge of her bed, her black cat Jang Kang curled up in a ball, sleeping peacefully. Yumi would just grumble as she did, how did these cats sleep through so much? It was almost impossible really. She’d just roll her eyes as she continued to hold on to her pillow, trembling a bit.
A loud booming sound of lighting would make Yumi almost jump out of her bed, making her clutch the pillow even more. Her eyes would dart around the room, finally stopping once she looked at the door. Yumi slowly and surely got up, bringing her trembling self to the door as she unlocked it, going into the hallway. She’d look over to notice Jang Kang following her, putting a finger to her lips as the cat seemingly proceeded to nod.
She’d open the door as she quietly made her way through the hallway, trying to make sure she didn’t wake up Kaz. Waking him up would be nightmare fuel, she definitely didn’t wanna deal with him at this hour. Quickly, she found herself in front of Ami’s door. Her bandmate. (and girlfriend..)
Yumi would look side to side a bit, checking if anybody was there. Once she finished, she slowly opened Ami’s door, she never had it locked for some reason. Yumi would find herself standing in her doorway, still a little nervous as she rubbed her arms. She’d sigh a bit as she slowly walked towards Ami’s bed.
Yumi could hear what sounded like soft snoring as she quietly reached Ami’s bed, something she couldn’t help but find at least a little cute. Yumi would reach a hand out as she started to put her hand on Ami’s shoulder, shaking it slightly. “Ami…” She’d whisper as she looked around, still nervous.
The girl wouldn’t budge as Yumi still shaked her shoulder lightly, she’d grumble a bit in annoyance. “Ami…!” Still no response. Yumi would continue for a while before sighing, taking her hand off the girls shoulder. She’d slowly walk towards the door, suddenly a large flash of lighting flashed, causing Yumi to yelp loudly. She’d quickly cover her mouth, praying that Ami didn’t hear her. “Y-Yumi? What’s going on…?” Dammit.
Yumi would slowly look over as she saw Ami, rubbing her eyes as she got up, looking at Yumi with worry in her eyes. Yumi would dart her eyes, trying not to look Ami in the eyes as she rubbed her arms, slightly embarrassed. “I-I uh. I’ll just go…” Yumi would mutter as she started to go for the doorway again, only to be met with another lighting flash as she yelped once again, covering her ears as she trembled yet again.
Ami would swing her legs over the edge of the bed, figuring out what was going on right now pretty quickly. “Yumi, are you scared of lightning?” Yumi would freeze as soon as Ami said that, her head hanging low in shame. She slowly nodded as another flash hit, making her tremble even more. Ami would slowly get up from the bed as she looked down at Yumi, kneeling down to get to her level.
Ami would then suddenly pick up Yumi, cradling her almost. Yumi would still be trembling as Ami picked up. Shortly after, Ami would climb on the bed, still having Yumi close to her chest, rubbing her back lightly as a way to comfort her. Yumi would start to hug Ami tightly, still shaking from being frightened, Ami could see tears forming in the others eyes. “Hey, can I ask something?” Ami would softly say as Yumi held onto her tighter, looking at her. “Y-Yeah. Sure, what do you wanna ask?”
Ami would think for a while before finally asking Yumi, “Why are you so scared of lightning? Just a question…” Yumi just sigh as she held on tighter. “I don’t know. I guess maybe because of the noise? I just don’t know, sorry if you were expecting more…”
Ami would then kiss Yumi’s forehead as she hugged her back, causing the other to blush more. “It’s okay. I wasn’t expecting anything. Many people have fears they can’t explain! Even me but that’s for another day!” Ami would exclaim as Yumi just snuggled more into her. “You can come to me anytime Yumi, I’ll never get mad at you for being afraid!” Yumi would just smile as Ami said that that.
The two would snuggle into each other, sighing in relief. The two cats, Tekirai and Jang Kang would be at the end of the bed, sleeping on each other as they purred softly. The two girls would slowly drift off into sleep, but not before Ami would gently kiss Yumi on the lips, making her giggle slightly. “おやすみ、アミ..” Ami would snuggle into Yumi even more as she whispered, “おやすみ、ユミ。いい夢を..” The two women would fall asleep, safe into each other’s arms.
