Chapter One

A Promising Gift:

Percy POV

The council had just convened on the night of the Winter solstice after his quest to save Annabeth and Lady Artemis from Luke and the Titan general Atlas. Due to the recovery of the Olympian it was decided to hold a party.

Dionysus was resting on his throne not giving a care when Zeus shocked him awake and told him to start a celebration. He manifested a bottle and popped a cork saying its about time as he manifested glasses pouring wine all around as various minor gods, nyads, dryads, and satyrs made there way to the plaza. He immediately went to the remaining demigods from the quest handing them glasses and pouring a liquid that soon became water.

Zeus bellowed to Dionysus "My son you need to stop doing that."

"What" he replied, "Do they not deserve it, two of them have held the skies which might I add was very entertaining."

"Do you want your punishment to last longer." Zeus said displeased.

"You know the Christians have a god that does this in reverse" Dionysus chuckled "Now that's a God."

Zeus looked like he was going to throttle him before Dionysus flashed away to continue the celebration.

Zeus looked back now to the three demigods watching him as his attention moved over to Athena and Posiedon making there way over bickering while walking.

"Ahem" Zeus cleared his throat and the other gods stopped thier argument as they reached their children.

The three Gods all looked to their children with Posiedon being the first to say anything. "My boy" he embraced his son who returned the hug as he then went and stood next to him "You have done great work and carried a heavy burden, a burden no one should have to bear."

"Thanks dad but I only did what was right to free Lady Artemis and thanks for not wiping me off the face of the earth" I said looking over to Zeus and Athena.

"Indeed a noble act my boy, but carrying the weight of the sky that shows great strength." Posiedon said squeezing his son again.

With that Athena chimed in "You wouldn't happen to forget that my daughter as well held the wieght of the Heavens" Athena then walked behind her daughter Annabeth placing her hands on her shoulders. Scowling at Posiedon once more.

"Mom" Annabeth said a little hoarse trying to get out the words. "I was only holding the sky because I was captured and forced to while Percy took the burden without a second thought."

With a flash of silver Lady Artemis in her 12 year old form silver dress and auburn hair appeared. "Indeed he did and for that I am grateful."

All heads turned surprised to have the Hunter still at the event.

"My Lady" Thalia bowed followed by Annabeth and myself.

Artemis nodded looking to her father, "I don't plan to stay long especially as the night goes but seeing as its a celebration I'll stay until my new lieutenant and the others are ready to return to camp."

"That is all but fair daughter, and I thank uou for taking Thalia into your hunt."Zeus said.

"Indeed father but I still have work to do if we are to win this war." Artemis replied.

With that another flash, this time of gold appeared spawning a beaming Apollo. Wrapping his arm around his sister to her mild attempts to escape he continued "Oh come on sis let the heros have some fun."

"Maybe you already forgot brother but my hunt has been enabled to track down the armies of Kronos."

"Yes yes but it's not like they will attack now."

I honestly expected to have something happen but nothing occurred. But then Apollo turned back to my father and I and gestured us outside wishing to talk. We excused ourselved from the group with a glare from Zeus over what we would discuss.

After leaving the square Apollo began to speak. "Now Perce my sister will never say this so I will." He bent down and hugged me "Thanks for saving my sister man I don't know what I would have done if she were still down there under such pain." Apollo started welling up before returning to his feet. "I wanted to talk or well apologize to you and my uncle though." He looked at us with fear for a few moments.

"Well out with it nephew. What did you do."

My father said calmer than I ever imagined he would after that but his eyes said different. They were stormy almost as if it was meant to shake anyone who looked at them.

After a moment Apollo gathered himself. "Well I may or may not have cursed your children to fail at any archery for like ever."

I watched him close his eyes and flinch, but nothing came. I looked back to my dad and he just started to laugh.

"Is that it Apollo, I guess that explains it."

Apollo looked puzzled before asking "You're not angry at my curse."

"No no I'm not angry although I feel like reparations are in order, my children on the other hand who knows" gesturing to me. "But living and ruling a place where projectile based weapons are pretty useless I am not worried about it. But I would ask why?"

Before Apollo could speak I punched his arm and exclaimed. "So you're the reason I can't shoot a fish in a barrel." I may have put a little to much power into the hit cause he started rubbing his arm as if actually hurt.

"Hey I'm trying to fix things though understandable. As for your question uncle, I did it like 3 millennia ago, or at least sometime after Orion betrayed my sister and since he was your child ... I kinda wanted to ensure none of your kin could hurt my sister again. I see now that Percy here has giving me a reason to restore their abilities."

Posieden moved over to Apollo where he flinched again only to be clasped on the shoulder. "Well I forgive you nephew and I have a good idea how you can repay this debt. Its fairly simple especially for you, I would like for you to teach my son archery."

Apollo looked to me hopeful. "I also accept the apology and hope we can start soon. There's a couple campers I would like to show a thing or two with this new prowess."

Apollo smiled relieved, "It's the least I could do for my favorite demigod, besides my own children of course and for saving Artemis." Then a rumble shook the sky as Apollo sighed. "Dads calling, welp I'll keep in touch Perce, Poseidon." He signaled before dissapearing in a flash of gold.

"Well thats something" I said as soon as Apollo left.

"Indeed it was son." Poseidon looked down to me and smiled. "Since we are out here theres something I wanna show you." The streets of Olympus were mesmerizing the buildings tall and lots of various spirits and other creatures all around.

But as I looked around I saw where I was being led to. Many large palaces crested the hill with all sorts of colors and designs. Some were obvious like Aphrodites pink palace, Hephaestus's was a mix of red and orange with flames around it. Demeters was grassy green with lots of vegetation but the one we stood in front of was a nice mixture of all the blues. I was led inside and it was only more spectactular with a similar vibe to my cabin at camp halfblood only more grandiose. Poseidon must've seen my face in utter shock and awe when he started to speak.

"I see you like it here I'm guessing the decor here is like that cabin of yours at the camp am I correct?"

"It is, this is probably gonna be one of the greatest places I've ever seen."

"Just wait till you see Atlantis." he chided proudly.

"I'm gonna see Atlantis." I said excitedly.

"In due time my son, I first must get acceptance to do so from Amphritite."

"Oh" I said sadly, "I'm assuming she doesn't like me much, being a bastard son of yours." I looked down for a few moments but I was forced to look up slowly by my dads hand as he looked at me with tears himself.

"N-no no no don't say things like that Percy" he said consoling me. "You are as much my child as any throughout the millenia including Triton. There are great things destined for you but it's up to you to achieve them. I know your mother would say the same thing."

I started crying as Poseidon continued to console me as he continued.

"You would actually be happy to know that Amphritite actually respects you a lot giving your trials over the past 3 yeas and she would like to meet you eventually but the politics of the ocean are as rough as the greatest waves. Some would see you as a great hero some as a competitor. I only want to make sure your safety withing my realm."

We seperated and I started rubbing my eyes from the talk. "You are right anout one thing dad, that would definitely be a talk mom would give."

With that Poseidon started to chuckle as he snapped his fingers and our clothes changed to more formal dress wear. "I think we've had enough tears for one night. Let's go enjoy this party everybody's raving about."

I couldn't help but smile, as I touched my fathers trident we teleported back to the party.

A/N: I hoped everybody enjoyed the first chapter of my little fanfic rewrite thing.

I tried having a small emotional hook with more to come for we throw ourselves into a party beyond anything you can think, or can you.

Any reviews would be helpful to best display my writing capability as well as make the best story I can.

Thank You.
