"Oh."
"Is it.." Stevie looks down at herself, at the dress that Chrissy shoved at her last second. "Robin told me to wear it. I mean, she basically forced me to wear it." She shouldn't have agreed, honestly. Sure, Vickie knows she's.. whatever, kinda hard not to considering her previous reputation as 'King Steve', but that doesn't mean Stevie has to make it obvious. She should have just—
"I like it."
Stevie looks up, a grin replacing her earlier anxiety instantly as she takes in the lack of apprehension on Vickie's face. "Yeah?" she asks, "I look good, don't I?"
"So good, yeah. You're gorgeous." Vickie stands from the picnic blanket, walking over to her. Her arms slide around Stevies waist, pulling her in until they're inches apart.
Vickie is beautiful. Stevie knows it, she's known it since they first met. But something about today really amplifies it. Maybe it's the way the summer sun makes her freckles pop out, more than usual, at least. Or maybe it's just the fact that Stevie's finally got Vickie in her arms.
Vickie's hands slide up her back, running up the dress' zipper. "Pink is your color."
"You think so?" Stevie tilts her head. "I think it's more blue."
"Mm. No. Pink. This is your color." Finally, Vickie leans up, pressing a kiss to Stevie's lips.
Okay, maybe the dress was a good idea.
