Chapter Text
Han Jisung is a 22 year old university student, studying music technology and composition, typically found either in the library or holed up in a recording booth for a class project.
Because of this, Jisung isn’t exactly known to be a very social person, often opting to hang out alone in his dorm after his classes, or the small cafe a block away from campus - where jisung is now, working on lyrics and slowing nursing an iced coffee despite the late hour.
He’d been working on a track for a while now, choosing to finish it tonight partially because of his sudden boost in energy but mainly due to his deadline ending tomorrow. Jisung had always been a major procrastinator, often leaving large projects like this until the last second and completely fucking up what little semblance he has left of a sleep schedule.
But now walking home (read: his crappy dorm room), it wasn’t the burden of his final assignment he’d only put half his full potential into that gave him a bad feeling. Something felt off, like his body had picked up on something his mind hadn’t. His eyes darted around - unable to drop the idea he was being followed, he found nothing of course, but decided to speed up walking home anyway before pausing abruptly. Should he go home? He’d listened to his fair share of true crime podcasts and isn’t a complete idiot, should be really be leading whoever might be following him back to his house?
Though of course, the universe was never in his favour as he felt the first few drops of water splash down on his face. Looking around he found nothing but closed shops given the time on his watch now showed it was past 1am in the morning. He could go back to the cafe? No, the teenage worker had been cleaning up and shutting down the store by the time he had left. He’d have no choice but to go back home.
So, after power-walking through the dark streets of Seoul, mainly just to avoid the rain but also to hopefully lose whoever was following - well might have been following, Jisung was probably just paranoid, but then again, when is he not? - he finally arrived back on campus and headed into his dorm.
However, so caught up in wondering how strong security was in this cheap-ass school, he’d completely missed the stranger standing in his kitchen holding his mug and scrolling through his phone. After his senses quickly caught up to him he froze and returned back to the doorway to now find the stranger grinning, no, smirking up at him.
Allowing his eyes to trace the figure standing in his kitchen he noticed how attractive he was, a light purple hair colour, looking messy but somehow, he made it work. His eye line trailing lower he noticed how muscular the man was, not crazy like some of the men he saw at the gym when he decided to turn his life around one night a few months ago (that lasted 2 days), but a more natural figure that looked built from discipline and god those thighs are to die fo- is that a gun?!
A slight snicker from the stranger had his eyes snapping back up to his face, observing a ridiculously hot smirk and eyes gleaming with mischief that made a deep blush rise on his round cheeks.
“Take a picture, it’ll last longer”
Jisung sputtered out a response, hoping he hadn’t been staring that long.
”I- I didn’t- who are you?” He settles on, hoping to sound angry enough to play off whatever malfunction has just occurred between his brain and his mouth.
“That’s confidential information, and I’m afraid you’ll be coming with me.”
Who the fuck does this guy think he is? Coming into his house, using his things and demanding Jisung to just tag along with him?
“No the fuck I won’t be! Get out my house!”
”Calm down sweetheart. No one needs to be yelling here. I think you have something that belongs to us.”
Us? Who’s us? And what could Jisung possibly have taken that could make someone like this unhappy enough to break into his house? Once again, this man has a gun!
So caught up in his thoughts he barely notices the man holding something behind his back and preparing to use whatever it is on Jisung, barely, but he did. When he pounced and tried to shove a rag - most likely laced with some kind of chloroform (Jisung has seen the movies, he knows what that is) into his face, Jisung was quick to duck and attempt to throw the stranger off. It seems the man’s charming persona had quickly worn off however as a snarl overtook his previous grin and instead caught himself before Jisung could try to throw him off balance.
Minho however, busy tapping the earpiece hidden behind his hair he didn’t notice the gun being removed from his holster until the click of the safety being turned off caught his attention, his eyes snapped up to be met with the sight of Jisung’s shaky hands pointing the barrel of the small pistol at him.
He wasn’t sure why he had let his guard down far enough to actually be disarmed, maybe it was the round chubby face or the scared, large eyes that first met his, the assassin wasn’t sure, he couldn’t believe this was the guy Chan had described as dangerous and “to be handled cautiously.”
Minho wasn’t worried though, his earpiece was connected to his servant’s earpiece, sure he didn’t like being called a servant but Chan had told Minho to let the servant shadow his mission. Tapping his earpiece earlier had simply communicated he needed backup and that backup had arrived. Long ago enough that he was already standing behind Jisung and knocking him out onto the floor.
Jisung had decided his best bet was to steal the intruders gun and act tough, that was what was gonna happen to keep him alive. What he hadn’t anticipated, however, was being snuck up on and kicked in the head from behind, seriously, how many of these people are there? He thought as his vision faded to black, hearing one last thing before he was out.
A smug “Night, Jisungie.” Surely coming from the bastard snatching the gun back from his limp hands.
