“Ugh I’m so bored” I thought to myself as I lay in a massive castle I was a tall teen girl with blonde hair that went down past my feet, I had dark brown eyes, I always wore shorts and a baggy shirt because it was so comfy and of course mum won’t give me a phone what does she think I’m going to do with it call someone I won’t be able to get anyone’s number
“I guess I’ll just do some art till she gets back even though she hates me doing it -”
“AROURA HELP ME UP NOW"
“There she goes again demanding I help her” I mumbled
“COMING!!!!” ok now that that’s done let’s go to my room and do that art I planned to do before she came back and hope she knocks and doesn’t barge in this time. As I turned around, I saw my pet chameleon
“Oh, hello Pascal I didn’t see you there what you are up to know”.
“She’s behind me isn’t she” I turned to see my mum who looked possessed
“AHHHHHHH mum are you okay?”
“Oh, dear I have something to tell you… I’m ...not your…real…mother”
“But you have looked after me since I was little”
“I know dear but I’m only you godmother and your real parents wants you back you see when you were younger you parents were sick and couldn’t take care of you so they asked me to take care of you and give the best life I could”
“No, they can’t just have me back after 16 years” I ran to my room and locked my door and didn’t leave for the rest of the day I didn’t want to leave her even if she wasn’t my real mum, she cared more for me then my actual parents did. She had fed and put a roof over my head for 16 years and all of a sudden my real parents want me back
“No way am I going to back I need to get out of here but how” …
” WAIT I know how I’m going to get out the way mother always get in and out I’ll just wait for her to leave tomorrow write her a note of why I left and then climb out the window with all my stuff “. The next day once mother left, I left out the note I wrote the night before, packed my clothes and hung my hair over the railing and climbed out I guess I forgot to check if anyone was down there because I landed on someone on by accident.
“OMG I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to”
“Oh no its okay”
“I’m Aroura”
“Well then Aroura I’m Flynn”. We then decided to walk together, I told him that I was a runaway and so was he. He took me to his favourite bar called the ugly duckling where we had the best fun ever. Well after that happened we walked through the forest and got lost a couple times but that didn’t bother us we just laughed and wondered till we found our way back to the path eventually we got to the town where the king and queen ruled and as I saw all the kids running around I thought of my own parents and godmother who I had
abandoned just because I didn’t want to met my real parents and then I realised how selfish I had been I needed to find my real parents no matter who they were. As we were going around Flynn suddenly remembered something “oh yeah there’s this lantern festival going on tonight to mark the day the princess was born, and I was wondering if you wanted to go with me”
“Wait you’re really asking me even though we only met today to go with you?”
“Well yeah I think your pretty cool and I wanted to get to know you better, so I figured what better way to do it then the lantern festival”
“Well then let’s go”. As we walked he told me about a princess who had been stolen but run away and that her name was Aroura and I realised that the princess could be me, so I asked him if he knew how old the princess was and he said 16. We then decided to go to see the king and queen and they recognised me instantly.
“I was with my godmother you gave me to her because you couldn’t take care of me”
“Dear you don’t have a godmother what do you mean you’ve been missing since you were a baby”
“Wait so you mean that old granny that I lived with for 16 years had no connection to us whatsoever”
“. Now one thing we would like to know where you were being living”
“Well, I was living in a forest”. After all of that we walked back to the castle and they announced that I was back alive and well and everybody was happy to hear that and good news they didn’t cancel the lantern festival.
