After everything had settled,
Will was still in the hospital recovering, but the doctors said he was getting better everyday,
Mike was able to officially introduce El to his mom and dad.
It was hard at first,
Dr. Brenner had convinced them that she was dangerous,
But after a talk between Ms. Byers and Nancy, one that Mike was ushered out for, they seemed settled.
After all the screaming, that is. Mostly his mom's accusations to Ms. Byers.
It was official, El was his sister now!
It made him happy that he could call her that,
Lucas was an idiot.

.
“Mike! Breakfast!” His mother called up the stairs.
“Coming!”
Loudly thumping down the stairs,
Quick steps through the house into the kitchen/breakfast dining table
He sat easily beside Nancy, Nancy on his right side.
He was grinning ear to ear today.
See, the Wheeler household is very routine oriented.
They're stuck in their traditions.
At the dining tables, Nancy sits on his right, his mother sits in front of Nancy, his father sits beside his mother, at the dinner table Ted is in front of Mike but at the breakfast table he's at the head of the table, the side next to Nancy.
And Holly?
She sits next to their mom, always.
At the dinner table its in the corner next to the head of the table seating (that chair is always empty but sometimes Barb fills that seat or one of the party members)
At the breakfast table, it's at the head, across from Ted.
But, today, their seating arrangement has slightly changed—it only ever changes if there's another person added at the breakfast table like Will or Dustin or Lucas.
And now?
There's a permanent guest.
El.
Now, their seating arrangement has changed so El can fill in a seat
She sits in between Mike and Holly.
Currently sitting on one of the dinner chairs— Karen said she'd go to the shop to buy a new breakfast chair just for El.
As you can tell, Mike is quite pleased by this new arrangement.
El no longer has to hide in the basement or in his closet!
And no longer has to eat scraps like a dog.
It's perfect, everything is perfect.
Will is back and safe and sound,
El is officially a Wheeler!
Like, officially official
Hopper— that police chief that helped out Joyce, had made sure of it, he's been helping out the Wheelers get adjusted.
Unfortunately he came up with all these rules to make sure El doesn't get taken again.
But, whatever, it's to keep El safe so Mike supposes he can follow along.
When he was done with his breakfast, fresh waffles that his mom made in honor of El's arrival, he grabbed his backpack and- before heading off- gave a quick hug to El, Holly, and his mom, whispering a quiet ‘thank you’ to his mom before rushing out the door and hopping onto his bike.
