Eggchan burrowed deeper into the blanket he is wrapped in. Honestly, he didn’t even consent into being burritoed by a certain chaos demon, he was enjoying his fresh air after being held in a cage for so long before he suddenly got dragged into the nest.
Then got burritoed.
He definitely should have seen that coming. With how tense everything was this past few weeks (or months? Eggchan doesn’t even know), almost dying and some betrayals here and there (He will be getting a clear answer about that from his best friend soon), it’s no wonder Wemmbu got so twitchy that he resorted to this. Locking him (aka just confining him into the nest) and proceed to cuddle him.
Despite how open Wemmbu got in expressing his affection for the angel, it’s rare for them to do anything this sappy unless one is deep in his instincts (cough Wemmbu cough). But Eggchan wasn’t really complaining, he’s glad they get to be so close again. He was worried as hell for Wemmbu the whole time they got separated, he doesn’t think he can handle another separation for atleast a year. Eggchan will do everything in his power to stay close to Wemmbu, even throwing a tantrum over it. The chaos demon quick to fold whenever he makes his distress apparent. Though he’s sure that Wemmbu is thinking the same thing so he isn’t too guilty about it.
Now, while Eggchan is kinda used to this, the four other presence in the nest is new. It would have been unpleasant if not for the fact that those presence were more than welcome. Not only because Wemmbu wouldn’t even allow anyone that would dare harm them in, but also because Eggchan does like them, he considers them his friends frankly. Especially with how much they helped both him and Wemmbu with the whole Arachnid mess.
A perk of being an angel is that Eggchan can stare at other people without them knowing due to his eyes always being closed. W ability, he likes using it to eavesdrop and judge other peoples character to see if they’re a threat to them or not (Wemmbu wasn’t the only one protective in this friendship). So he has full view of the four hybrids settling in the nest, careful to not move too much to avoid jostling the two duo and also because Wemmbu would throw a fit if they strayed from where he positioned them.
Thankfully the nest is pretty big for all of them, full of pillows and blankets too. Jewels and trinkets scattered on the side, courtesy of Wemmbu’s instincts.
Codmaster14 is slightly below him, having buried himself with one of the blankets, fish tail swaying slightly in contentment. Eggchan’s glad the cod hybrid is relaxed, he is a good support and fun to fish with.
Yungyx, meanwhile, tucked himself below their feet, knocked out cold from exhaustion. Though some restlessness cling to his tired face. It makes sense, the human having only just killed Arachnid (Eggchan still felt surreal about it all being over) who he used to admire, the angel still felt concern about him especially with how unhinged he was after it. He hopes ruling The Caves brings him some needed peace.
Yungyx didn’t stay tense for long before a hand brushed against his hair along with a small hum from the owner of the hand. The human’s furrowed eyebrows eased at the soothing movements, now back to being a boneless heap in the nest.
Eggchan felt the corner of his mouth tick upward once he registered who the W support was, that being the one and only; Jaden_MAN, or just Jaden to them. He fondly stared at all of them, kinda keeping watch over them, if not for Eggchan spotting the tale tell signs of sleep from the Pirate King. No doubt he’d be asleep soon, it is nice to see how much Jaden cares, though, the other still lightly playing with Yungyx’s hair. Jaden is someone Eggchan can never fully express his gratitude for, words not being enough with how much he’s done to help them. The angel is sure Wemmbu would have cracked sooner if he didn’t have a friend to rely on during those shitty weeks. Eggchan is really glad the two became friends, they are a good duo, almost as good as them.
And last but not the least; Boosfer. The alien firmly cushioned beside Wemmbu. The chaos demon may be clinging to the angel with his arms, his tail, however, curled tight on Boosfer’s wrist. The alien didn’t seem to mind, having his own tail firmly circled around Wemmbu’s hip. Unlike them all, Boosfer wasn’t apart of the whole war, instead, he was just off doing his own thing. Fighting some players but still minding his own business. However, he’s still someone Wemmbu seemed to see as apart of his treasure as the alien is the first one they went to after leaving the caves. Boosfer being understanding after seeing their state and agreeing to hide them (sure Arachnid is defeated but that doesn’t mean conflict is over in Unstable, they atleast want to have a few more days of peace before they got ambushed again). The nest being a nice perk to find which immediately set off Wemmbu into dragging them all to cuddle.
Eggchan wonders what they’ll do after they rested plenty (which might take a week to be honest, just for how long they’ve been apart). The angel knows Yungy is going to go back and rule the Caves, he is the new ruler after all. Codmaster14 might go back with Yungy as well, definitely being there to support the human. Jaden would obviously stay with him and Wemmbu, maybe even inviting them back to his civilization, that’d be nice. Boosfer is a mystery for Eggchan, he thinks it’d be nice if he comes as well, Wemmbu clearly sees him as a friend and Aether knows his best friend could use more players in his life.
The angel simply hummed and burrowed himself further in Wemmbu’s hold, the chaos demon embracing him tightly, like he is afraid Eggchan would disappear if he loosened his hold for a second. The angel didn’t mind, he only let out a small sigh of contentment, his third eye closing and leaving his vision dark.
Yeah, he didn’t mind at all.
