Post Scratch Human
.16y, Lives in an unloving household as one of several siblings raised by a careless mother and loveless father.
.Prince of Life, He/Him, assigned male at birth, BegrugingStooge, “Keni” Kenedy Hapsberg, a lad forced to dress well and formerly twentyfour seven. He utilizes Bowkind and has a love for Art, Fashion, and Accessories. Sadly, while his interests lay more in abstract art, alternative fashion, and piercings, he is forced to dress like a rich douchebag with a taste only for black and white paintings and watches. His father is Elizia Hapsberg and his mother is Veronica Hapsburg. He has six siblings, three older, two younger, one “Twin” (Keni was adopted). His eldest brother is in college for business. His oldest sister is married to a man far too old for her and quietly plotting to get the money in the will (she's nice to Keni though). His second older brother is in high school and is an aspiring artist (in the style his parents like). His “twin” sister gets up to no good and blames him for everything that goes wrong, he is her scapegoat and that is all she sees him as. Two twin little siblings who are just parenting his parents and are much nicer when they're not around (they don’t get that insulting him and telling him what to do will make him snap eventually).
.Durse Dreamer, First to enter the game, has to get the time to play the game while at a social event until his twin frames him for spilling a drink and he gets locked in a room by his dad but gets a chance to play. There is enough room for everything but the alchemator and he has to break out to use it while Gail places it in the center of the ball room. He prototypes a pair of sunglasses that belonged to his favorite artist, a flamboyant abstract artist named Betany Bairor, whom the Betanysprite copies the personality of. His entry challenge is to paint a blank canvas, he uses wine and makes an unrecognisable as him self portrait. By carrying out his entry protocols in the game he ends up taking the whole building and all it’s guests into the game. His world is the land of Lax and Crypts, inhabited by Turtles, and threatened by a denizen putting people to sleep named Hypnos. He throws the self portrait into the sprite after entering, making Betenisprite who acts more like him and essentially becomes his one line of support until his friends get in the game.
.16, Lives with their mother and three fathers, who adopted her on the day of the fifth member of their polycule’s death.
.Heir of Blood, They/She, assigned male at birth, XilaphonOphanim, Gail Jacobs/ Bauer/ Chen/ Hokoro/ Kotova, dresses in simple casual wear (a beanie and big bottlecap glasses). She uses XillaphoneStickKind and has a love for making music, making music and playing games on streems, Dancing, and collecting bottle caps of a brand of zero-sugar only soda. Her parents support her interests but can be overly protective. Their parents are Miguel Jacobs the guitarist, Li Chen the drummer, Dion Hokoro the bassist, and Sergey Kotova the singer, the partner who was lost was Genaveve Bauer.
.Prospit Dreamer, Second to enter the game, has to get home to run the Client disk while out with the family, she has the server disk in her computer already and gets Keni in while they travel. It gets hectic when a meteor hits Keni’s location and her family realises death is on its way. She realises Keni is ok and desperately tries to convince their parents to stay in the house. Sergey convinces the others to leave for a safety bunker, going out to get the car ready for them all while Li tries to get Gail to stop playing. Gail prototypes their pet tarantula Daisy that died that day, creating the comically affectionate Daisy sprite. In order to get into the game Gail has to scream into a Meggaphone, which coincidentally stops Sergay from fully stepping over to the car as he carries some esenchas to it after placing it just in front of the walkway to the house. This causes just his left leg to be over the border and left behind as the home warps away. He, sadly, does not survive the leg severing and Gail prototypes him in an attempt to save him. Daisergeysprite is just Sergey but more open. Their world is the Land of Tracks and Carts, inhabited by Igwanas, and tormented by the denizen Dionisus turning people against each other.
.17, Lives alone, having Emancipated herself when she was left to care for herself for a year by her single mother who went out partying across the country.
.Knight of Breath, She/Her, assigned female at birth, UnchainedFortune, “Anie” Sally An Rolfe, dresses in a very reserved manner in victorian styled clothes, has a prominent scar over her right eye. She uses GloveKind and she enjoys writing, growing plants, reading, and making clothes. Her mother is a rich surgeon named Karren Rolfe who usually holds herself in a serious and respectable manner in public but is a party addicted wild-woman behind the scenes. She accidentally scared Anie and Anie doesn't let herself party out of a fear of addiction.
.Durse Dreamer, Third to enter the game, she does her best to get Gail into the game while heading to the emergency shelter in an attempt to use it as her entry point, but is kidnaped by her mother and forced to complete the game at her home as a meteor heads straight for her. She Prototypes a poster of Rosie the Riveter and a gun her mother pulls on near simultaneously, creating Rosie the Revolversprite who is a strong and sure of herself woman with stories of making munitions for the military with a gun and infinite bullets. Her entry challenge is to smash a glass ceiling pain, which she does by breaking it over her mothers head. Her land is the Land of Storms and Dissolve, inhabited by Salimanders, and tormented by the corrosive Schilla as she destroys the protections from the storms with her venom.
.16 Lives in the apartment of the owner/baker of a downstairs bakery after running away from their adoptive drunk of a father.
.Page of Time, They/Them, assigned male at birth, BakersDuzon, “Blue” Lapis Shogun, dresses in black, an emo through and through… Mostly. Uses Kunombo-BatKind and Kitana-BladeKind, and has a love for baking, darkness, monsters, spikes, Squiddles, and music that makes you want to scream in anguish. Their mentor is Mr Wolf Cub, a mister rogers sort of man who runs a bakery and has a violent dark past of some kind. He is very supportive and is impressed by their creativity and skill.
.Prospit Dreamer, Awake before game, fourth to enter the game, with predestined knowledge they got Many people prepared to leave for the shelter but stays behind as they haven't gotten the game. They go through hoops on hoops as the client disc is taken by their adoptive parents who have just found them. Mr. Cub, the parents, and a CPS member who failed to save Blue in the past are all present for the outing of Blue’s parents as abusers before they get the game, get in contact with Harry, and get into the game quickly. Their entry item is just to put on a wrist band, but their parents make it near impossible. They prototype Mr. Cub as he’s fatally wounded by their mother. They prototype a Squiddle before and it just makes Cubsprite Magnetic. Their land is the Land of Shadows and War, inhabited by Komoto Dragons in an endless war spurred on by Aries the denizen.
.17 Lives with their neglectful accountant mother but spends most of his time helping his neighbor Miss Abigail Deen take care of orphan kids on the streets.
.Sylph of Hope, They/Him, assigned female at birth, MedeokerDieignoaus, “Hary” Harvey Hair, and dresses in average clothes with funny t-shirts. They use BroomKind and FlipflopKind, while having a love of caring for kids, cooking, board games, and Niting. His mother is named Harpy but Abbigail has been more of a mother to them, and always worried she’s asking too much when they come over and help her with things. Abbigail helped him transition since she herself is Trans. He has medical issues with their body and mental state due to a case of untreeted auditory hallucinations and period issues no one believes he has, having repeatedly been told they are faking it.
.Prospit Dreamer, fifth to enter the game, was informed early of what they need to do by Blue and just struggles to make sure as many people make it and that Norm gets the game itself. He nearly runs out of time, only being saved by the sudden appearance of the first guardian, a sapient car that has looked out for Abbigail her whole life. Hary is forced to prototype the Godcar and in doing so sets some tragedies into motion. Their entry challenge is just letting go of a cocoon, seemingly allowing it to fall to the ground and shatter, only for a butterfly to emerge just before. Hary’s land is the Land of Angels and Sickness, inhabited by Crockodiles, and is tormented by the Denizen Apollo. A future version of Norm’s dream self appears and prototypes itself before anyone can react, creating Carnormsprite who is just as unique but much more serious than Norm usually is.
.15 Lives with a guy named J Doe who runs a gang that is really just his way of keeping them out of any real danger since their orphans and abused kids.
.Rogue of Space, It/It’s, assigned female at birth, ScoutBulwark, “Norm” Norma Jane, dresses like a pile of rags. Uses Knife-BladeKind and SlingshotKind, and likes making shit. It was found by J in a dumpster left for dead by its parents. It mainly looks out for the other kids and sees itself as a thing more than a person.
.Durse Dreamer, Awake before game, Sixth to enter the game, does not have any way to buy the game so it runs off to steal a copy from a store. It is chased by police who begin a raid on its family’s hideout. Norm prototypes its dead pet boa Doom-Gar-Lord it stole from an illegal pet seller. It gets the game going but needs to wait for Keni to get in contact. When he does, all bets are off, and as J one man army’s the cops, Norm gets into the game. It’s entry challenge is reciting a piece of paper it refuses to read, saying “I am not a thing, I am a person”. Before that it prototypes a Swat guy’s entire uniform and makes SWAT-DOOM-GAR-LORDsprite. It’s world is the Land of Law and Frogs, inhabited by snakes, and tormented by the denizen Zuse who is forcing the world into his idea of peaceful.
They all remain in the game for four years.

His mother never pays attention to him with all her work and he has slowly turned his negative feelings towards her into justification for his rampant sexism. He targets the bakery because he thought the male and female owners were both women, and refuses to admit his mistake.
Prospit Dreamer, Second in the Game,
.Rased by famed actress Nora Jane, acts as the boss of the gang Wolf and Nick are in, mainly looking out for them.
18 Thief of Doom He/Him, Assigned female at birth, MotleyDodger, Jack Doe, dresses like a guy, just a dude. He uses hammer, axe, and bike kind, having a love for horror, explaining shit, and making sure his boys stay out of trouble. His mother is as present in his life as she can be, and has done all she can to keep his life positive as she can.
Durse Dreamer, First in the Game, gets the game for his birthday planning to play with his friends only to discover how it's going to end the world. The only problem is that he doesn't realize he's in danger until it's almost too late. He prototypes a keepsake said to be the horns of ancient monsters, they are in reality old keepsakes of the ancestors to the Trolls hidden on their world.
Now for the Troll lore.
The five casts of Penta-Gon decide the rolls of every troll, each one being brought up to serve the government of five bodies keeping each other in check but all under the Golden King’s order. The casts are the Fire, Water, Earth, Metal, and Wood, all under the Golden watch of a Air Cast Troll named Lord over all. The Fire cast, marked by red feather armor, oversees the teaching of the whole species population and the upholding of public spaces of merriment, holding holidays in Summer. The Metal Cast is marked by White Fur pelts, construct housing and public structures, and give duties to individuals of all casts who are unable to do their casts jobs, holding holidays in Fall. The Wood Cast are dressed in green and blue scales, oversee the housing of all children, and serve as spies and watchmen, celebrating holidays in the Spring. The Earth cast wear the gold leather pelts of gold furless Lusii, make the food and hunt the beasts, train Lusii, and celebrate in the transition between seasons. The Water cast dress in black shells, putting the dead to rest, caring for the Mother Grub, overseeing the enforcement of breeding, and celebrating holidays in Winter. The air cast dress in outfits made from all cast marking uniforms, overseeing all the others, and only numbering in eleven, the queen, her council, and five children who will take the place of the next councilmen to die.
The Fire cast Oversees the teaching of Earth Cast Hunters, puts down criminal Metals, punishes neglectful Wood Workers, and re-educate rebellious Watters. The Metal cast tutor young water casts, preparing them for their future work with hard labor, execute criminal Woods, force lazy Earth’s to join in hard work, and punish controversial Fire’s. The Wood cast protect the homes where Fire’s are educated, assassinate runaway Earth’s, force young Waters who refuse their place to help care for children, and oversee the elder Metals who can no longer build. The Earth cast give young metals their pelt through hunt test of strength, hunt down and imprison uncontrollable Waters, torture inactive Fire’s, and make misbehaving Wood casts hunt with them as if hunting dogs. The Water cast teach young wood how to care for other children, force failed Fires to serve as servants to water, oversees the testing of old Metals to see if they are still able bodied, and test the trained Lusii in grub care before they are allowed near actual grubs (forcing Earths who failed to do their job to re-educate or put down their beasts).
Troll’s are born with a mark, augmented by various facets of their birth, starting with time of Laying+hatching(one week to one Cycle after Laying). The time of Laying decides an elemental association while the time of hatching is associated with a beast. A year, aka a “Cycle” is the time it takes for the world of Penta-Gon to turn around its sun, split into twelve “Turns” which represent the time it takes for the five moons of Pentagon to all have completed one revolution. Each turn is associated with a beast, which is further associated with a celestial beast, season, and an individual element. The Troll’s mark is further augmented by if they are born on a holliday, raised by a traditional or abnormal Lusus, are the first Troll like them to be born (not a descendant, which means that they are at least 35% related to another Troll from before their birth) aka a First, are a reincarnate (more than 85% like a Troll from before their birth) or are born under beasts tied to their cast. A True Mark is one laid and hatched under the true celestial beast and blood associated animal of their cast, raised by a Lusus like both the celestial beast and the Blood Beast of their cast, either a First or a Reincarnate of a True Mark, hatched under a time when their casts associated moon is most bright or most dim, specifically laid or hatched on a holliday, and possessing of qualities in their blood indicative of their Blood Cast Beasts Element. A Troll often can also wear their general Cast Mark as long as it is in their Blood Color or a Lusus Mark based solely on their Lusus.
The Mark they are given at hatching is imprinted through a different method depending on their Cast. The Fire cast brand themselves with the Mark. The Metal cast tattoos the Mark into their skin. The Wood cast use acid to burn the sign into their skin, creating an indent. The Earth cast carve the cast Mark as a scar into their skin. The Water Cast rigorously apply a strong body paint and re-apply it based on a guide. The Air cast are given a metal plate that they wear on their clothes, when uplifted to the council the mark is welded to their chest, and if they become queen they have it removed and welded so deep into their skull removing it will kill them.
The Five moons are Perl of Water, Ember of Fire, Natura of Wood, Tera of Earth, and Adam of Metal. There is a sixth, only ever visible at night from a single island where the Air cast are raised called Heaven of Air, where the first guardian Shin secretly resides.
The twelve beasts and their individual elements and blood tie are the Rat of Ties (Blood) bound to Water and Coal Bloods, the Ox of Turns (Time) bound to Earth and Gold Bloods, the Tiger of Fate (Doom) bound to Wood and Burch Bloods, the Rabbit of Ranula (Life) tied to Wood and Hedge Bloods, the Dragon of Travel (Space) tied to Earth and Purple Bloods, the Snake of Shade (Void) tied to Fire and Coral Bloods, the Horse of Knowledge (Light) tied to Fire and Crimson Bloods, the Goat of Wrath (Rage) tied to Earth and Purple Bloods, the Monkey of Plans (Mind) tied to Metal and Silver Bloods, the Rooster of Self (Heart) tied to Metal and Blue Bloods, the Dog of Dreams (Hope) tied to Earth and Gold Bloods, and the Pig of Wilds (Breath) tied to Water and Turquoise Bloods. The beasts over these twelve are the five celestial beasts, said to be bound to their own element and Air. Lusii are born of one of five colors, tied to the five celestial beasts. The Vermilion Wing Beast of Fire, the Pale Stripe Beast of Metal, the Azure Wingless Dragon of Wood, the Coal Shell Beast of Water, and the Golden single-horned Dragon Hoofbeast of Earth.
The traditional Lusii of each cast are Snakes, Horses, Birds, and Vermillion Birds for Fire. Monkeys, Roosters, Furry Mammals, and White Tigers for Metal. Tigers, Rodents, Reptiles, and Azure Dragons for Wood. Oxen, Dragons, Goats, Dogs, Charles Mammals, Amphibians, and Yellow Quilin for Earth. Rats, Pigs, Aquatics, and Black Turtles for Water. Dragons, Turtles, Tigers, Birds, Quilin, and Arthropods for Air.
Fire Casts have flat teeth and avian yet non functioning wings (they have simply forgotten how to fly). Metal casts have the ability to lift things and control non Air/Fire Casts with their mind. Wood have up to four horns and the ability to use nearby plants as extents of their body, they can even warp others perception through spores or pollen. Earth casts have additional eyes, ears, mouths, noses, limbs, heightened senses, and can commune with animals. Water casts have fins, can breathe water, and are rumored to be capable of becoming semiaquatic monsters called Megalow-dawns. Air casts have many (at least three) horns and or eyes, incredible psionic energy abilities, and can absorb other Trolls energy for nutrients.
It is said that Penta-Gon was once under the the Earth Cast once ruled the others, but the Air cast "Descended from the heavens” to overthrow them and take rule.
Pre Scratch Trolls
Lives as a shrine keeper in a shrine to the Vermilion Wing Beast and always getting in trouble for not adding enough spice and drama to his group's educational plays they perform and record.
17y, Sylph of Time, He/Them, Fire Cast, Bord Bard, Chekov Nition, Blood:Crimson, Cast Mark, is dressed in the traditional priest garb, feather cap, and feather styled face paint. Uses guitar-kind, has a love for teaching, education, and specifically turning the arts of poetry, music, and acting towards education. His Lusus is a Murder of Red Crows that operates as if one living entity. Their Director, the high priestess in charge of productions who recruited Chekov through an in-person learning program, cares little for education and thinks the art is more important than the facts those acts are meant to educate on. Chekov conflicts with her often, but struggles to push his ideals due to being descended from an ancient performer who changed the cast’s role to one of acting and entertainment, The Doomed Harlequin PurrQuil. Their relation causes many to act as if their ideals are an insult to PurrQuil’s legacy, which Chekov struggles to rebuke completely. He often likes to quote The OreBlade, a philosopher of the Metal Cast who built weapons and homes for The First Heavenly Psionica, who often spoke on the power of acting for the education of the people.
Prospit-Bound
Works heavily under the direction of an older Metal he is to replace one day who directs the older Trolls of the town.
16y, Page of Space, He/Him, Metal Cast, Titanium Tool, Arthor Carper, Blood:Blue, Lusus Mark: Millipede, dresses in the Anteater Lusus pelt he hunted at eight Cycles, and the brown rain cap and full body covering leathers of the workers in his area, a rainy jungle town. He uses Hammer and nail kind, with a great mind for creative and uniquely artful architecture but has few other thoughts and is often forced to work by the baseline model. His Lusus is a sturdy and strong Blue Millipede larger enough to carry a lot of heavy construction tools, which it does, but only when he loads them onto it. His teacher, Merlin Moraga, is over a hundred Cycles and still able to do his Job well but is faltering. Arthor wishes to help his teacher do his job, helping by faking a level of ignorance that keeps him his job but makes him look unprepared to replace Merlin, making the higher ups unwilling to keep testing if Merlin should be removed. He often looks to the works of his ancestor The OreBlade for inspiration and to see the art in the boring work that erodes him.
Prospit-Bound
Lives with her Lusus and additionally with a Water taking well to re-education.
15y, Knight of Life, She/They, Wood Cast, Dextros Dragon, Ligoma Haier, Blood:Hedge, True Mark: Laid and Hatched under Rabbit of Renule-First-Raised by and Azure Dragon-Hatched under new Natura Moon-Laid on Terror-Walk/Night of Gifts, dresses in the blue/green pine-cone scale armor and false-platinum shield of the guards of child rearing towns like the one she lives in. She uses Shield and Blade kind, and has a love of knights, epic stories, and legendary feats of strength. Their Lusus is a giant Green Rabbit who keeps them huddled in their home. She is additionally cared for by a Water Cast Rebel who really just spoke out once against a cruel Matron and does a good job of looking out for them and their occasionally suicidal plans for glory. They, despite being labeled as a First, do have an ancient Troll they are more related to than any other, who was a vicious Oracle Knight known as Wrathful Willowne. She really thinks she is a hero to be.
Durse Bound
Was adopted by a whole herd of Lusii used for perimeter defence for hunters venturing into unexplored wilds.
16y, They/Them, Rogue of Hope, Earth Cast, Golden Gouger, Mammon Primig, Blood:Purple, Cast Mark, They dress in the golden leathers of fallen hairless Leopard Mole-rats that tried to hunt the Golden Wooly Mammaloth Lusii that adopted them, welding the tusk of a small Mammaloth that fell saving them as a grub. They weald Tusk-kind and enjoy adventuring, hunting, and after discovering how to make computers work, programming. Their Lusus is a whole herd of Golden Wooly Mammoloths, which are wooly horse sized mammoths, which are used by expedition hunting parties for exploring and recording the resources found in unexplored lands. The hunt-master is an old Goldblood whose horns were ripped off at a young age who enjoyed using Mammon as a Scout/Bait since they're so good at attracting attention yet coming back alive. They know nothing of their ancestor, nor does anyone else, as the only indication of their existence is their blood mark (copy of genetic info in ancient mechanical databases). The blood mark only indicates that the Troll was born, and no history is tied to it, which is strange as the earliest days of a wriggler at least are recorded, and when a Troll dies their genetics are scanned and their mark includes a time of death. Their ancestor's mark only notes “Death Font”, a title given to fictional hunters of prolific and terrifying skill. The only explanation anyone can guess is a Troll went unscanned until earning the moniker, and died somewhere no one can find them… Mammon swears they have seen something staking the camp for months that appears to be a Troll.
Durse-Bound
Lost his Lusus at a young age and ran away with mutants marked for death, was hunted but was saved by Maroon, now lives in her Home looking after his illegally adopted Grub's.
17y, Prince of Blood, He/She, Water Cast, Seagrass Sarow, Cichly Jawdae, Blood:Charcoal, Lusus Mark: Pig, dresses only in long blue hand made robes marked with the image of her dead Lusus. Welding Butcher’s-kind (a container holding an entire Butchers knife set), he likes cooking, entertaining Wigglers, and talking to her friends about their relationships. She lost his Lusus when she was a young Grub and never quite agreed with the killing of slightly weak or odd looking Wigglers, so much so he was deemed a traitor and hunted until Maroon found her. Maroon liked him and the Grubs he was trying to save so much, She pardoned him, and invited him to live with her. Cichly has a strained relationship to her Ancestor who is known as The Maternal Diagnose, a self crafted title, and wrote the book on Troll psychology which has been used repeatedly to misdiagnose Trolls as to justify killing them as a “Mercy”.
Durse-Bound
The middle in line of the five heiresses, with no rush to worry about becoming a leader, she has an oddly mother/daughter esqu relationship with the Queen who is otherwise the most brutal and cruel the planet has ever had.
15y, Bard of Breath, She/Her, Air Cast, Heedles Herald, Maroon Cyanky, Blood:Lavender, Full Mark: Laid under Dragon of Travel-hatched under Tiger of Fate-Raised by a Snail, draped in white/gold shirt and separate sleeves, cyan skirt, and Maroon tinted platinum prayer beads and arm bands. She uses Psionics and Fist-kind, and has a love for exploring, doing light shows with her Psionics, dancing, and avoiding responsibility. Her Lusus, a Snail, acts as her butler, and is always somehow exactly where she needs him when she needs him. She adores her ancestor, The First Heavenly Psionica, who founded the society they all now live under. Due to this connection she has always been treated well by the otherwise cruel Queen of Penta-Gon, Dun-Nok Medonn.
Prospit-Bound
Post Scratch Trolls lore
The Central Cast has ruled since before recorded history, breaking every rebellion against it and in the modern day it rules the galaxy. Under its watch there are technically six casts, each with duties to the greater society. Under the Central cast, a cast of two bloods, there lay eight true casts and the two servant casts. The North, South, West, East, North East, North West, South East, South West, South North, and West East casts. Each is presided over in pairs by an High-Lord-Elder of one of the non-joint direction casts, as the unjoined are seen as the true casts while the others separation is a construction of more recent ages, the servant casts have an Elder, but their role is to be council to the others and holds no true say in government maters… At least in theory. The Elders act as an elected council, but are servants to the Heavenly Lords in Gold, eight Central casts who are chosen from the divine cast by the elders and are the only ones allowed to work the sacred runes.
Every cast holds a role in the system, each true cast focussing on such role while the joined casts assist, decided at birth and upheld by being separated into designated planets they are meant to do their jobs on, and thus each also holds a unique culture and an ancestral home on the homeworld which is the only planet members of every cast can be found. It is a breeding world where adults live and grubs are moved from. It was once known as Penta-Gon, but has been retitled simply Hp-1, and each of its moons have been transformed into mobile space stations that rome the galaxy.
The North/East Cast, blood: Burch, Security. NE Casts are raised on worlds purposely infested with monstrous beasts, but specifically trained to keep a select set of “safe sights” where children are raised safe before being sent off to act as security for important cargo and Trolls. They have tight and close nit family unites and often kept close for much of their lives, raised in pairs under single Lusii or a mated pair in some situations. NE are often put to one task their whole lives, but some are specifically trained to instead strike out into the wilderness and hunt select targets as to prepare them for being assassins in place of visible security.
The North Cast, blood: Charcoal, Reproduction. North Casts are placed into beautiful and natural worlds where Mothergrubs can roam safe from predators or elements. They live like ranchers, raising, rearing, and inseminating the Mothergrubs before sending the eggs off to the worlds they belong while keeping prematurely hatched grubs as pseudo-cast members, making their worlds comparatively diverse. The Mother Grubs, how they are raised, and how the trolls live with them vary from world to world, but a set of laws keep them from varying too much.
The North/South Cast, blood: Platinum, Runners. NS Casts are raised and live on space stations being trained to be transport drivers taking Trolls, Books, Macheans, Resources, and Eggs where they need to go. They are often deprived of Lusii and instead given to the care of machines that ensure they are educated into proper servants while training them into the Trolls who carry the workload of others. Some earn the right to live on the worlds of North or South Casts who they assist as on hand physical laborers or information recorders. When Grubs hatch early on their ships they are deprived of their right to a cast and a Platinum grub is killed and replaced with a “Gray” cast Troll who is raised into a leader of other Platinum bloods.
The South Cast, blood: Crimson, knowledge. South Casts record and keep as much knowledge across the galactic-kingdome of Heaven, traveling and keeping planet-wide libraries kept running smoothly with divine machines only blessed individual Crimson Trolls can control, with the South cast simply recording and delivering the information and collecting any information as needed. In the few places they do not use to keep information they use for communal rest chambers. Every library is a copy of the other, only different in the structure of the planet they are built on.
The South/West Cast, blood: Blue, Bureaucracy. Raised in massive apartment complexes spanning near entire worlds, say for select giant parks for recreation, they are put to task from a young age to outperform their peers and do work cataloging and organizing for the kingdom. They live in single units, the better performing Trolls getting larger units and even able to take units from others if they specifically target and outperform them. The failures are given a chemical concoction that turns them into mindless Drones who act as backup guards for the kingdom. They also often run personal businesses on the side in the parks, and some are forced to as to keep other Trolls coming to the parks and holding some level of social interaction.
The West Cast, blood: Silver, Resources. The West Cast live on mining stations and planets, ensuring the servant-cast workers and divine machines keep doing as they are forced to do. They also care for Central-casts who are sent to keep the divine machines running. They live in the finest living homes, only less well kept than the hotels of pleasure worlds and the divine homes on the Central Cast worlds, used to care for them as they often remain in danger as they simply command the servants.
The West/East Cast, blood: Lavender, Workers. Those who do the heavy lifting for the West Cast and carry the weapons for the East Casts, they are trained on moons and large space stations under several different gravities, stripped of Lusii and put to work under Divine machines, they are raised to be tools and usually act as if soulless. The greatest amount of power one may find is being a leader only to other Lavenders or a personal servant to an East Cast Troll
The East Cast, blood: Hedge, War. The soldiers who are trained from birth on environmentally diverse worlds by elder cast members and divine machines of war, raised as siblings and taught the edicts of war, practicing on the deadly beasts kept on the worlds (often other sapient alien races). When adults are sent off world to fight the kingdom's foes face to face, they range from foot soldiers to admirals who take orders directly from the High Lord Elders.
The South/East Cast, blood: Coral, Research. SE Casts are raised on worlds filled with constructed and fake ancient temples and tooms, forced to spend their days searching and collecting until they reach adulthood and are sent out on scouting and field research missions by older Trolls. They sometimes earn the right to work with select South Casts to create educational programs for each cast’s children, which allows them to leave their homeworld without being sent to more dangerous terrain. They are rewarded as children for finding different artifacts of pre-decided worth and importance, the better stuff being harder to find and earning the better rewards while Devine Macheans turn anyone who tries to steal another's work into mindless Drones.
The North/West Cast, blood: Terquoise, Beasts. Raised on sprawling and beautiful planets full of Lusii, put in charge or rearing and caring for the beasts and looking after eggs until they hatch, ensuring grubs get Lusii and deciding whether to make untaken Grubs Gray-Cast or Drones. The young support the older, and most never leave their home world unless it is to take personally trained Lusii for war into battle.
The Central Cast, blood: Purple/Gold, rule. They are raised in immaculate castle moons and nature preserves populated by harmless and gorgeous Lusii. They are educated on the matters of running the upper-sections of bureaucracy and often either rise to the role of a Heavenly Lord in Gold or live as rich nobles who spend their time creating art, music, or custom products replicated on mass by alchemisers for whoever they wish.
Trolls do not receive signs, simply being marked with their cast sign, and a individually unique set of barcodes on their backs.
They have no access to info on their ancestors unless they are a high ranking South Cast or a Central Cast.
The Troll cast.
Lives with an older South Cast, helping as a junior assistant, while hiding that they are partially Drone-warped.
15y, Witch of Doom, He/They/She, South/East Cast, Shrodi Nition, BoxBlunder, Blood:Coral, dresses conservatively for exploration with a big backpack and hides their drone horns under a hat. Uses Pickax and Claw Kind, harbors a deep love of comedy and jokes, but hides it under the practical and discerning self he has crafted, she also holds a love for exploration, though after their partial Drone-ification, their ability to express emotions has dulled. They lost their Lusus when young and had to raise himself mostly. She was falsely accused of theft and infected with the concoction used to turn Trolls into Drones, and was given an antidote mid metamorphosis once found innocent. She has Drone arms, chest, and can sometimes go into a haze of blind obedience. He was found by an older South Cast who was preparing the “History” a new area of ruins to explore who took a liking to the kid. Being partially Drone warped meant they would be killed if found at any space station including the one they were bound for upon reaching adulthood. The South Cast, named Nyanah Ohdawn, his the Drone mutations and get them off world as part of a “Studdy program” working together to plan out curriculums. Nyanah also found out Shrodi was descended of six historical figures of Troll history and educated them extensively one each. Bailburn the wings of knowledge who severed the South and South/East Casts apart from the ancient Fire Casts, putting both to the work of educating society. Titanium Toolhand, aka the Millipede King Pendrake who nearly dethroned the Central Cast and founded a hidden sect of revolutionaries in the South/West cast that has spread like fire into the rest, and having revolutionized architecture as a whole with his contributions before the revolution and what needed to be done to prevent his forces from breaching cities and space fortresses after. Dierclaw Dragoona The Rabbitfoot Legoma was the warrior who slew Pendrake and cemented the Hedgebloods as the Warrior cast, and famed for having introduced methods of using bonded Lusii in war without mind control after years of failure to do just that. Grimtech Goretusk The First Heavenly Lord in Gold, who put the West/East and North/South Casts into their places when the first few were born, and the one who cracked the code of ancient computers left behind on the homeworld of Penta-Gon, allowing for a rapid conquering of the world and, within their lifetime, the galaxy. Sarowsea Siltfoot, The Jetshell Matron/Patron, the one who raised the first Platinum and Lavender bloods, keeping them safe, and allowing one to convince The First Heavenly Lord in Gold of their right to exist. The last of their ancestors they were made aware of is the Harmonic Hedenist, “C.M.Y.K.”, who was the Lavender Blood who convinced Grimtech to spare her people and give them a place in his reborn society.
Lives along with her Lusus as the true mind behind the architectural art made by a Gold Blood Central cast who lets her live in their super fancy home.
17y, Mage of Mind, She/Her (assigned male at birth), West Cast, Occamm Carpen, TacticalTable, Blood:Silver, dresses in fine and high class suits. She uses Chisel and Buzzsaw kind but sometimes switches to Marble stone block and diorama Kind, holds a deep love of architecture and sculpture art, but is very blunt and direct in how she acts. Her Lusus is a giant Millipede she often sleeps on like a bed, who is comically intelligent. Her Gold Blood benefactor is named Sollid Srpent, has a flying snake for a Lusus, and met Occamm when they walked through her door, severely wounded and confused after a mining accident. As thanks for nursing them back to health, they let Occamm work her creative mind safely by living with them. If Occamm was to try and show off her work, she would be in trouble for not aligning with her peoples role in society, so Sollid passes the work off as theirs to “Protect” Occamm (this is all not true but Occamm dosn’t know anyone who knows better). Occamm does not know her ancestor and is comically devout to the systems that actually oppress her because she is constantly being misled. However, she is beginning to realize that the truth of the problem is much simpler than anyone is telling her.
.The weakest and youngest in a band of runaway Burch bloods and their Lusii who have made a home in the deadliest of places on their world.
16y, Seer of Rage, They/Them, North/East Cast, Oracle Haeire, DierDred, Blood:Burch, dresses like Rambo but with a brown headband. Uses Shotgun and Bastardsword kind, loves whittling, crafting, and drawing but hides it under a false face of quiet disconnect. Their Lusus is a normal looking rabbit that can and has ripped full grown Trolls jugulars from their necks in a single motion of hoping. There are ten other Burch bloods in their groop, all of whom are stronger than them, and they are led by a winged Burch Blood with a giant Tree-like Stick Bug they all live on as a Lusus. The Burch is nicknamed Red Wood for her red tinged wings and Lusus, but her full name is Nectar Mothan. Nectar is the only one who thinks Oracle can be more.
.A Troll living in luxury who spends just as much time reading and learning as they do researching and exploring out and about than out and about, with its Lusus they run a popular online channel where it hides their identity and is focused on breaking down the science behind biology and evolution.
16y, Maid of Void, They/It, Central Cast, Mephis Primig, Genetic Geneticist, Blood:Gold, dresses in covering and non-cast revealing gray clothes, hiding every feature that could give them away as a Central. It uses camera kind, and enjoys being sneaky, quiet, learning about the natural world and the connections between beasts, and paradoxically being seen by all as an internet personality “Golly Gray the Genetic Geneticist”. They live with it’s Mammoth Lusii (Most Central cast have multiple Lusii) on a Central Cast world, and when not streaming videos on genetics and evolution they are exploring the constructed ecosystem and seeing how it has been altered to keep the beasts from harming the Gold and Purple Bloods. Since the First Heavenly Lord in Gold was a Purple blood, they hold a slightly less beneficial stance in the system under the more respected Purples, but somehow being a direct descendant of Grim themself gives them some benefits most golds and purples are denied, including the right to hide their cast and pretend to be a Gray-Cast servant.
.Grown up on a joint West-North/West world, he works with older members to care for a rather large Mothergrub he calls Lusus.
15y, Heir of Light, He/Him, North/West Cast, Sigmud Jawdae, SuperiorSion, Blood:Turquois, dresses like a cowboy. A hard working sort who uses Scithe-kind, and enjoys analyzing the minds of the Trolls around him. His Lusus is a pig who often finds truffles for everyone on the farm in the morning, and is one of few Lusii an old Mothergrub lets get close when she’s brooding. This has given Sigmud the right to be close to the otherwise oddly territorial Grubmother, and they tend to be the farm's designated egg collector for the Grubmother because of it. The older Trolls he lives with is a big multi-Kismussis polycule of North/West and West Trolls and an old West matron named Whitny Roller who’s Lusus is a Mothergrub.
.Lives in the same farm as Sigmud as a farm hand, they got to keep her Lusus and considers Sigmud and the other farmers family.
17y, Thief of Heart, She/Them, North/South Cast, Amater Cyanki, HomegrownHash, Blood:Platinum, dresses like a farmer with a comically tall hat. Uses Pitchfork and Torch-Kind, and spends their days happily helping on the farm and thinking of how to get the North/South and West/East Cast a better lot in life. Her Lusus is the only reason she got to stay on the farm, as they are the first grub hatched from a young Mothergrubs first brood, and she would not let the egg be taken. They are treated like a member of the farm by the others, but when they interact with other farms she is reminded her role is that of a servant and helping hand. She harbors dreams of revolution and has managed to turn most of the household to her mindset that the system is flawed.
