Work Text:

‎"...Hello?" A resonance of a distant voice.
‎
‎Or not so distant?
‎
‎"Hi there! Why are you crying? Are you okay?" A bright Sylveon softly spoke out, almost spawning out of thin air, and looking down to the sobbing Umbreon laying inside a bush, the Umbreon looked back. She saw a look that felt warmer than any fluffy blanket or any cup of hot milk could ever feel.
‎
‎It was... comforting, even for an instant.
‎
‎The eyes of both creatures locked for a few seconds that felt like hours, concerned eyes looking into an abyss of tears, nonsensical tears.
‎
‎"Sorry, I uhm... I'm not that well..." Answered the Umbreon between light sobs. "But I don't need help or anything like that. I came around here because usually no one walks around these bushes and ...uh, I just-"
‎
‎More tears run out from that abyss of swirling emotions. The taller one just calmly waits for her to finish her sentence.
‎
‎"I needed to decompress, I'm feeling way too much right now." Finally added the Umbreon, who stopped looking at the concerned pink creature and stared back into the grass.
‎
‎"Do you mind if I keep you some company? I won't speak or do anything unless you want me to. And I'll go back from where I came from if you need some space" Said the Sylveon, in an attempt to make all those unnerving emotions come at ease; she really hated to see other Pokémon sad, or in a negative state of mind in general. She'd do anything to help the crying ray of moonlight get some peace of mind.
‎
‎The Umbreon opened her mouth slowly to answer, yet the words wouldn't make their way out, as if they were trapped inside her throat; instead, more sobs and tears came out. In embarrassment she hid her face between her front paws. The opposite eeveelution 'loafed' down beside her, observing her.
‎
‎Analyzing her, even.
‎
‎Her ears were down and droopy as she sobbed to the ground. The Sylveon felt the urge to say something, anything.
‎
‎"It's okay to not feel okay sometimes, or all the time even" She said, moving her head closer to the black loaf. "Feelings are what makes us, well, us."
‎
‎The Umbreon looked back at her, took a deep breath and a sigh came out of her mouth.
‎
‎"You're right, all of these emotions feel too... intense. That's the best way to describe it" She finally got the courage to say, even between some soft sobs "I've been bottling all of this up for a while now."
‎
‎"I'm here for you, let it all go. I won't judge you. I'm here." Replied the Sylveon, swiftly and almost without thinking.
‎
‎With tears running down her cheeks and a big grin in mouth, the Umbreon giggled and replied "Thank you."
‎An honest, deep feeling is what made her say those words.
‎Something about that pokémon, gave her all that she didn't know she needed to breath with a calm mind again.
‎
‎She squirmed a little closer to feel her warmth and hummed to the feeling of her soft fur against hers.
‎
‎"I think I forgot to ask your name." The Sylveon said, carelessly again.
‎
‎"We have all the time in the world, I'll tell you when all this that I'm feeling is over" Her dearest Umbreon replied.
