Anton stared at Wonbin, gaping at him in shock. “Hyung, are you being serious right now?” Anton asked, looking at Wonbin in disbelief.
“You know superhero movies aren’t really my thing,” Wonbin said, shrugging.
“I know, but how have you never seen any of the Spider-Man movies? They are huge,” Anton said.
“I don’t know, I just never got around to watching them,” Wonbin said.
“Well, that just won’t do. We have to see the new Spider-Man. I’ll ask manager hyung when we have free time to go to the theater,” Anton declared.
“I haven’t seen the others though,” Wonbin weakly protested.
“That’s fine. I’ll fill you in, and then later when we have more time we can watch the other movies together,” Anton cheerfully declared.
“I’m not getting out of this, am I ?” Wonbin asked with a sigh.
“Nope, It’ll be fun though,” Anton said.
It was three days later, and Anton was standing in the doorway waiting for Wonbin to finish getting ready. Anton managed to convince their manager not only to let him and Wonbin go see the new Spider-Man movie but also to give the two of them the entire afternoon and evening off, allowing for Wonbin and Anton to finally go on a long date. “Ready to go?” Anton asked, looking up as Wonbin made his way down the dorm hallway.
“Yep, did you get the tickets already?” Wonbin asked, walking over to Anton and pulling on his shoes.
“Yeah, I bought them online earlier today,” Anton said.
“Great,” Wonbin nodded, pulling open the front door.
The two of them walked out of the dorm, closing the door behind them.
Settling into his seat next to Anton, Wonbin nodded along to Anton’s description, trying to understand all the background that Anton was unloading on him. “Wait, wait, so why do they not remember him?” Wonbin asked, trying to understand what Anton was explaining.
“Hyung, I already explained it. Peter had a spell cast that erased him to protect his friends,” Anton reexplained with a huff.
“Okay, but why?” Wonbin asked.
“Don’t worry about it. We will watch the other movies later. For now, just be quiet; the movie is about to start,” Anton said, shushing Wonbin before he could ask any more questions.
Exiting the theater, the two of them began walking back toward their dorms. Swinging his arms back and forth, Anton tried to subtly brush his hand against Wonbin’s. Feeling the brief touch, Wonbin smiled to himself and shifted his hand to grab Anton’s. “So what did you think, hyung?” Anton eagerly asked, swinging their now joined hands.
“I liked it,” Wonbin said.
“You did?” Anton double-checked.
“Yeah, it was fun and surprisingly emotional, like the reveal with V-Max. I did not see that coming,” Wonbin said.
“It was so good! I can’t wait to see Doomsday and…” Anton eagerly said, practically bouncing with excitement, before Wonbin cut him off with, “Anton, wait.”
“Huh?” Anton asked, looking at Wonbin in confusion.
Wonbin glanced behind them before leaning in close to Anton and whispering, “I think someone is following us.”
“What? Where?” Anton asked, dropping Wonbin’s hand as he whipped his head around.
“Don’t look behind, but that girl in pink was in the movie with us and has been following us since then,” Wonbin whispered.
“Shit, really? Should we catch a cab back to the dorms?” Anton sighed, unable to hide his disappointment that their plans were ruined.
“Didn’t you want to get dinner together?” Wonbin asked, grabbing Anton’s hand again.
“Well yeah, but if someone is following us…” Anton mumbled, trailing off.
“Nope, we are going,” Wonbin declared, refusing to let some random creep ruin their date.
“Hyung, you just said someone has been following us,” Anton argued, nervous about the potential stalker.
“Yeah, well, I won’t let some creepy stalker ruin our date. Now follow me,” Wonbin said, yanking Anton’s arm as he suddenly turned right down an alley.
The couple did their best to lose the woman, constantly turning and even entering a random mall all in an attempt to lose their follower. Turning onto another random street, Wonbin paused, trying to catch his breath after all the walking. Stopping as well, Anton looked around and realized that the two of them were finally alone. There was not a single other person in sight. “I don't see her. I think we finally lost her, hyung,” Anton said.
“I don't see her either,” Wonbin agreed, straightening up.
“Good, that’s good. Now where are we, hyung?” Anton asked, looking around at the completely unfamiliar street. Anton knew Seoul pretty well at this point, and he had no idea where they were or even what neighborhood they were in.
“I don’t know. I don’t recognize this area either,” Wonbin said.
“Me either. Do you want to find dinner here or go back to the dorms and find dinner near there?” Anton asked, glancing around trying to see if there were any open restaurants in sight.
“I’m pretty hungry. Let’s find some place nearby and get dinner,” Wonbin said.
“Okay,” Anton agreed.
Sitting down at the table, Anton glumly picked at his plate, not particularly interested in the food in his bowl. Anton tried to push what happened earlier with the creep following them, but he couldn’t push the feeling of being violated out of his mind. “Anton-ah, what’s wrong?” Wonbin asked, noticing that Anton hadn’t really eaten much of his food.
“Nothing hyung, it’s just the movie was so fun and then the date was ruined because someone was following us,” Anton sighed.
“The date isn’t ruined. Sure, some sasaeng following us wasn’t great, but like you mentioned, the movie was fun, and dinner is good,” Wonbin said.
“I guess,” Anton sighed, using his chopsticks to pick at his noodles.
“Cheer up, Anton-ah. Don’t let some weirdo ruin the night for us. In fact, once we finish dinner, let’s keep walking and get ice cream together,” Wonbin suggested, trying to cheer up Anton.
“Okay,” Anton agreed, a small smile forming on his face.
Pushing open the door to his room, Anton paused, looking at Wonbin with a smile. “Despite some hiccups, tonight was fun, hyung,” Anton said.
“It was,” Wonbin agreed, leaning in to give Anton a quick kiss.
