The alarm on Kayla's phone went off at 6 in the morning. She leaned over and shut it off, realizing she was freezing. Albeit, she was just in a tank top and shorts, but it was the middle of August so it should've been fine. She pulled the blanket onto herself, cuddled closer to her boyfriend Tayrun, and planned on sleeping for 10 more minutes.
Kayla thought this was a good idea. Apparently Charlie didn't. "Kayla, Kayla." He said. "What are you doing Kayla? Your alarm went off. Why aren't you getting up? We'regoing to be late. We only have 45 minutes to get to the subwayin your world." Kayla, Charlie, and Tayrun were going to see Kayla's mom for her birthday.
"Because I'm cold and it's warm here." Kayla replied, not opening her eyes. She heard a soft chuckle from Tayrun, telling her that he'd woken up too. "Plus the station isn't that far from the annex point.
"But if you get up and get dressed you can be warmer." The bio-mech reasoned.
Tayrun chuckled. "He's got a point you know." He said as he started playing with her hair.
Kayla looked up at her boyfriend with a look of mock offense on her face. "You'resupposed to be on my side?"
Tayrun gave her a quick peck on the cheek. "I am." He answered. He continued after Kayla gave him a "really?" look. "And since I'm on your side, I don't want you to be late."
An adoring smile crept onto Kayla's face at her boyfriend's logic."Fine." She said, changing into jeans and a sweater after giving Tayrun a quick kiss. Once she was done, Tayrun tried to get up himself, but was stopped by Kayla. "You stay there. I'm still cold." She said as she wrapped her arms around her boyfriend, and laid back down.
