"Hey, Pence-Pence..!" Match ran into her and Pencil’s hotel room, holding her phone. "I keep getting these like, scam calls and stuff. Can you like, help me? I’ve tried blocking their numbers but they just keep coming back."
Pencil seeing this decides to take matters into her own hands.
"C’mon, Matchie. Just get ‘em back!" Then when the next call comes, she snatches the phone and clicks ‘answer’.
Pencil doesn’t even hear the caller say they’re Planty from tech support or whatever until, in her best impression of her girlfriend, she yells "HOW MANY TIMES DID I TELL YOU NOT TO CALL ME BACK? WE’RE SO, LIKE, OVER." into the phone and immediately hanging up.
"OMG Pencil you’re such a genius!" Match then fawns over her as always.
The next call came and Match took it.
"Welcome to, like, Applebees! You want the apples or the bees?"
"…Bees?"
"Okay, they like, asked for the bees! We can start shipping them now!"
The scammer immediately hung up, the girls snickering to themselves.
Singing song lyrics, making obnoxious loud noises, getting Ruby to talk to the caller about how much she loves gumdrops, they just went on and on.
As expected, the calls slowed down, then stopped.
"Darn, that was like sosososo fun!" Match then sighed to herself. "At least they’re gone now, haha…"
Pencil seemed disappointed too, but likely for a different reason judging by her face. Another idea, mayhaps-
Ring… Ring…
"Put it on speaker." Pencil requested.
Match obliged, recieving the call over speaker. Pencil then lunged in and starting making out with her, tackling her to the floor. It was only for a few seconds, but enough to ward off the caller.
And then a familiar voice spoke to them.
"Oh, we’re not a scam caller, Match." It was Ruby. "You just left your hair dye at my place last sleepover."
"You two just moike out or whatoiver." Bubble spoke before hanging up.
Match and Pencil looked at eachother for a few more seconds.
"C’mere, you." Pencil then re-engaged the kiss.
And for a short while, it was just the two of them. They parted a short while after, laughing to eachother about the day, presumably. That was until Match pushed Pencil off of her.
"Wait, I left my hair dye?! I gotta like, go get it! Bye, Pence-Pence..!"
Match ran off, Pencil waving at her.
"See ya, Matchie!"
