Beau Maxwell's worst mistake in life had been letting Dean Di Laurentis choose one of his electives as part of a bet. Adelaide Vale, a quiet and not very outgoing literature major who hides a secret from the world, is on a crusade to prove that romance authors don't just write ๐˜ง๐‘Ž๐˜ช๐‘Ÿ๐˜บ ๐˜ด๐‘š๐˜ถ๐‘ก and they were writers on their own right. Whether her crusade was public or not -it absolutely was not- didn't matter, because she needed to prove her own talent to herself. Why would she, if she was no romance author? Well, the thing was... Adelaide Vale, just another student in Briar, was secretly global romance writer phenomenon Vivian Voss.

In a small stage with few actors, desks and chairs are often few. Exactly ten desks for ten students meant that seating in pairs was inevitable. Adelaide and Beau end up paired together, and both plan to ignore the other. That was, of course, until the professor announced they would work in every assignment with whoever they were sat.

หš ยฐ โ€ข ยทMy first language is not English. While I do have my Cambridge qualifications and I am fluent in English (C2, baby) I still make mistakes native English speakers don't. Pointing those out in a kind way is very much appreciated!

หš ยฐ โ€ข ยท This book can -and I do intend for it to have, but maybe it doesn't end up happening- have sexual scenes, references, innuendos, and similar. For explicitly described sex scenes, warnings will be given in chapter, but if it comes along in conversation, do not expect a warning at the beginning of the chapter.

หš ยฐ โ€ข ยทย I am very much aware that in no world a writer would be fully anonymous.ย But, let me introduce you to the wonders of fiction: shit happens like I want it to. Which means; yes, realism is out of the window on that aspect, but I'll try and keep it alive where I can. Vivian Voss is somehow based on the success of ACOTAR and Fourth Wing, but spread to like... everything she writes. None of her book plots (if any are mentioned) are from real books!

หš ยฐ โ€ข ยท This work is based on the TV show rather than the books. That means the dialogue, scenes, and references to the show portray a job that is (magnificent) not mine. Credit to the script writers for those scenes. But, Adelaide, Vivian Voss, any Vivian Voss works, titles or excerpts, as well as their plotlines and existence, are original to this fanfic.

หš ยฐ โ€ข ยท Beau is not having his 'character arc' from the books. For those of you who know what I mean, breathe. For those of you who do not, don't worry! Everything will be fine.
