GHOST [UNREDACTED]

Summary:

A few of the original scenes that I had initially planned for Ghost that never ended up in the final version posted. These snippets are tiny but ones I still really, really love.

Ghost is a long-fic that I have completed, which dives deep into the aftermath of episode nine. I encourage you to read that first.

Chapter 1: THE FIGHT

Summary:

Follows the actions of the club after they found Jake and Zoey fighting in the first half of the fic. I didn't take this specific scene very seriously (see the ending, and that's why it never made it into the final version).

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

“What happened?”

The music club all stared at each other, before they all looked at Hailey. Head darting left to right, as if to say, “Why me?” But none of the other club members yielded, and Hailey was forced to the front. Sighing, she sat reluctantly in the midnight black chairs in front of Miss Klop's desk. She opened her mouth, but no sound came out, and she cleared it quietly. “Um, well, we were practising in the music room.” She began uneasily. “You know, for the competition tomorrow.”

The room went quiet as Miss Klop stared at them all,and eyebrows raised. Then, her face cleared. “Right, the music club. Go on.”

“And we heard raised voices,so we all went outside to investigate. And then we saw Jake being shoved by Zoey across the hallway…”

“Holy shit, is that Jake and Zoey?” Milly gasped out, clutching onto the side of the doorframe, staring at the horrific scene unfolding before their eyes. Hailey walked up behind her and peered over Milly's shoulder. That one glance over the scene was enough. Hailey turned around and clamped a clammy hand over her mouth, as Luke laid a hand on her arm.

“Yeah.”

Milly and Luke looked towards one another.  “We should get someone,” Milly said quickly. “Before either of them do something stupid. Zoey's a shit fighter, but she's wild.”

“Milly’s right,” Sean told Hailey urgently, as he walked up over to them. He turned to Luke and Milly as he spoke to all three of them. “You three, go, and me and Zander will make sure that nothing too serious happens.”

“Where are we supposed to go?“ Hailey asked, fingers running through her hair. “All the teachers are on their lunch break.“ As the three of them ran through the hallways, they breathlessly checked each classroom, before Luke stopped.

“Wait, we could always go to Miss Klop’s office,“ Luke said.

Hailey and Milly turned around.

“Are you crazy?”

“You've got to be kidding me.”

Liam shook his head, and leaned sideways against one of the lockers. “I don’t like the idea anymore than you guys, but if you have a better idea, you better say it.”

Hailey bit her lip, and turned towards Milly, who immediately scowled. But she didn’t fight back.

“So, Hailey was like, we should go to Miss Klop’s office! And I was like, are you sure? Because I know that we haven’t had the best history and I always end up in your office—”

Miss Klop pinched the bridge of her nose. “Miss Brooks, the point?”

“Um, well,” Milly blushed. “We got you instead.”

Miss Klop stared between the five teenagers, before standing up.

"Well, this isn't what I expected. But thank you for telling me. You five can leave now, while I discuss the matter with Jake and Zoey."

At the mention of Jake's name, Hailey immediately stiffened, concern on her face, but she followed the rest of the club out.

But when Jake looked at her with those eyes, giggling at how Zoey called him a freak, Hailey wished that Zoey had beaten Jake up even more.

That evil twink deserved it.
