Forever (I've Been So Happy Loving You)

Summary:

“Please Mike? Just one song? I swear this is the last time I'll ask ever again!” Will pouts trying to hide a little smile.

“Oh my god, fine!” Mike laughs. “I’ll play one song!”

“YES! Finally!” Will rejoices, jumping up and down. “What song are you going to play?”

Mike takes a deep breath, “Uh…’Forever’…you know, that one Beach Boys song?”

Will’s eyes light up. “Can you sing it for me?”

It’s the summer going into college. The party continues distracting themselves from the thought of going to college. Mike picks up the guitar and Will gets more inspiration for his art. One night, the party is having a sleepover at the Wheeler’s house when Mike and Will stay up a little later than the rest of the group. Will asks if he can hear Mike play him a song. ‘Forever’ by the beach boys is the song that comes to Mike’s mind. What does it mean? Surely, it’s just an old song. It can’t mean anything. Right?

Chapter 1: Introduction!

Hi guys! Real quick introduction/story breakdown before we begin! My name is Alex! This is my first time writing a fanfic in about five or so years (YIKES </3) so please go easy on me. The story is loosely based on the song ‘Forever’ by the Beach Boys. It is my favorite song of all time (It is also the first song on my byler playlist shhhh)

 

In this fic, It will take place a few weeks after the party graduates high school. So it is a post-canon storyline. ALSO, in this fic, Eleven did NOT sacrifice herself. Since El never enrolled back into high school once she came back to Hawkins, she never graduated with the party. I will figure out what I want to do with her storyline as the story continues so do not fret, I did not forget about my girl Jane #iloveyouqueen
