Chapter Text
Harry woke slowly and sluggishly. The first thing that hit him was the noise, or rather, the lack thereof. The second thing that hit him was the cold. He was cold. Very cold. Which wasn't good, seeing how he had been sick and getting sicker this entire summer. Not that anyone cared. The Dursleys didn't care and kept making him work, and no one from his world cared because they hadn't come for him when he sent repeated letters to his friends and Sirius. No one would answer him. He opened his eyes and realized that, for the first time in his life that he could remember, he could see without his glasses because he wasn't wearing them.
He was in a very small and cramped cat-themed sphere pod underwater. That last one got to him, as he couldn't swim. The next thing that got him, as he took stock of himself, was that he was in a navy blue JK uniform. He knew what that was because of Dudley and his gang. Piers had a particular obsession. He reached up and checked his hair. It was now down to his shoulders. He patted his chest in worry. Flat. He wasn't proud to admit it, but he also checked between his legs. Still male. He sighed to himself in relief. So why the hell was he in this uniform meant for girls, and why was his hair so much longer?
Welcome to the Nuclear Sea Apocalypse. This is an ocean polluted after a nuclear explosion.
Huh? Wasn't that the premise of Dudley's new computer game? What was he doing in Dudley's new computer game? And why was he dressed as a girl?
Please pay attention to the following matters.
First, this world is a sea area polluted by massive nuclear radiation. To survive here, you must face low temperatures, the pursuit of Toxic Fog, and the threat of Mutated Creatures.
Second, the sphere ship you are in is a temporarily safe place. Do not try to find land; land does not exist in this world, so please continuously upgrade your sphere ship's capabilities to counter dangers.
Third, the display screen in front of you has many functions that can help you survive better.
Fourth, you can choose four items from the novice supply list on the display screen.
Fifth, all players between 16 and 60 have been brought here.
This was Dudley's game. He was looking around the sphere again and noticed that his cat-themed sphere was pedal-powered. Dudley had said that all starter vehicles were pedal-powered.
Basic supplies: choose three out of eight:
1 piece of black bread,
1 unit of coal,
2 bottles of mineral water,
40g of salt,
1 iron pot,
1 set of net bag racks,
1 crossbow,
1 sheet of radiation eliminator.
Okay, wait. What did Dudley choose? What did he say the best ones to choose were? He couldn't remember. But if he was going to be fighting mutated monsters, he'd want the crossbow. Seawater couldn't be drunk, so the 2 Bottles of Mineral Water were a must. He studied the rest of the items carefully. He tapped on the 1 set of Net Bag Racks and saw that it would be installed on the spherical ship to catch floating objects. That seemed important, as his life now depended on scavenging.
He chose his three. The water, the crossbow, and the net. They appeared on the floor next to him.
Items chose!
Vehicle bound!
He picked up the net. The net rack was in a folded state. He saw that after unfolding, it would be about 2m in length and width.
"This is for catching items, huh?" Harry thought. "Well, I'd better install it on the Kitty then."
Install Net Rack?
He chose install, and it vanished from his hands. He then went through what functions the screen had while he pedaled along. This was going to get annoying. He was sick and not in shape.
He found the functions: Communication, Weather, Sphere Ship, Personal , and Mall. He wondered where the Trade function was. Games like this always had trade functions according to what he'd learned from watching Dudley over the years. He opened the communications and found that, just like he thought, it was the Chat Channel. That's where he found a Trade function. It was just between players, though. You clicked on a person's Icon and then selected Trade. He was prompted to name himself. A nickname. He hummed in thought.
His father was a Stag, right? So what about Bambi? Or...oh, he knew. He typed it out carefully: Lucky Cat. No one would know it was him. They'd probably think he was a girl with a name like that. He was also told to pick an Icon. He chose the Japanese Lucky Cat icon to represent him. He was in a Lucky Cat pod after all.
He also discovered that this was where people could form Alliances. He was never going to join one, so what did care, but it was interesting information.
Next, he clicked the Weather function.
Weather: Temperature: 0℃, expected to continue falling within the next three days. Radiation value: 21%, safe time outside the cabin today: 12 minutes remaining; active time is related to constitution. Toxic Fog: 2km away from the sphere ship.
"I'm sure that I don't even get 12 Minutes outside. My Constitution stat probably sucks." Harry muttered. "No wonder I'm so cold. I need to find a way to warm up, or I won't survive."
Next, he clicked Sphere Ship.
Sphere Ship/Lucky Cat
Level: 1
A spherical ship with a cat theme that has an internal volume of 25 cubic meters and can realize displacement forward, backward, left, and right through the joystick. Remember, the functions of the sphere ship are waiting to be upgraded and developed.
Upgrading requires 100 Sailing Coins, Blueprint, Standard Energy Blocks x50, and x20 Alloy Repair Plates.
How did he get those? He knew that he could upgrade. These games were all about upgrading your vehicle. He'd seen Dudley play hundreds of them. He clicked over to Personal.
Harry Potter/Lucky Cat
Constitution: 1
Spirit: 10
HP: 100%

Gee. Thanks. He went to the Mall next, wondering how to Awaken his Talent.
