Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Prologue

….

"..now then, how did he do this again?", a boy wondered…

"Ugh..why…?"

"..we weren't even..picking on you.."

The boy was sitting on top of a mountain of what seemed to be high school students of varying genders and fantasy races, beaten black and blue.

"..nurse..please.."

"Ah! Just a minute", the boy said animatedly, as if he weren't the cause of this,"..I'm new at this "Problem Child" thing, my previous school was way more tamer than this school of borderline copyright infringement. Seriously, how has JK Rowling not sued this school yet..?"

"Just..get to the point already!", a girl buried somewhere in the bottom of the pile screamed.

"Okay! I think it went somewhat like this!"

The bespectacled boy crossed his legs and used a poor underclassman's back as an armrest.

"Ow! That's where you kick—"

"Shut up Mongrel! Your King is—nope, that's Gilgamesh..just a smidge down..", he quickly adjusted his seating position.

"Hey, do you lot know the basic agreement that any society needs to have in order to function properly?", the boy asked seriously, with his finger interlaced in front of his eyes, totally not copying one of Anime's worst fathers.

"What?"

"It's 'I won't kill you, so please don't kill me' ", the boy stated, "..you can replace the word 'kill' with almost anything"

The boy jumped off of the mountain in an impressive display of leg strength.

"In short, don't bully your classmates, or I will kill you"

"DON'T FOOL AROUND! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!? PUSHING AROUND US NOBLES LIKE THIS! WE'LL REPORT YOU, YOU SHITTY UPPERCLASSMEN!"

"Au Contrair, my dumb kouhai-kun", he leaned his torso down to meet the scornful gaze of his underclassmen with a bright smile.

"Under Regarden's bylaws, teachers are only allowed to take Spellwork credits from students as punishment. Care to guess how many of those credits I have?"

His smile said it all.

The answer was zero, a grand total of zero.

He literally had nothing to lose and a license to kill.

"H-how are you still here!?", he whimpered.

"That's a mystery to me too", the boy replied,"..well, the fact that I am likely means that someone high above wants something from me. Not that I particularly care"

"Y-you'll get arrested! My family will.."

CLAP!

The boy clapped his hands together gleefully.

"Well then! We'll just have to make sure nobody finds the body, don't we?"

…

…

"..Demon.."

"No, the real Demon is society if you really think about it", the boy stated, turning around and walking up to a girl.

"Here, this is yours right?", he asked, handing her a hair ribbon

"H-hai!", the underclassmen squeaked flustered.

"Don't sweat it", he waved her off,"..Have you had your orientation by the way?"

"N-no..I haven't..", she spoke.

"I see.."

This soon huh..

Couldn't these idiots at least have waited until after their kouhai were officially inducted in? This is really not a good look for them..

The Senpai bullied their kouhai.

The kouhai carried those grudges into their senior years.

Then they did the same thing to the next generation.

And eventually, all that hatred, resentment, and fear would fester into something much worse.

Curses.

A vicious cycle of animosity that would only get harder to break with every passing year.

As a Jujutsu Sorcerer, the most efficient thing was to cut this thing off at the source. It would save him the pain of exorcising the Cursed Spirits that arose from this debacle later down the line. Additionally..

..like hell he would let what happened to Junpei happen again.

..

"Well then", he said with a huge smile,"..Allow me to welcome you to Urbus Regarden! The students are shit, the teachers are..a mixed bag, all in all not too different from the average college experience"

"Oh.."

The underclassmen nodded, some of them blushing slightly.

"..Despite what others tell you, don't worry about credits too much, these are going to be the best seven years of your life", he said turning back..

"..It's unforgivable to take away youth from young people, so try to get through these years with as less regrets as possible"

The boy looked up at the fake sky above him..

"Not that I'm the one to talk, I'm just 16 after all"

"Willll!", a familiar voice tore through the courtyard, the voice of his roommate,"..are you done?"

"Yes, I'll be over in just a moment, Rosti!"

And so, Will Serfort, known in another life as the Strongest Sorcerer of the Modern Age, Itadori Yuji, walked with his best friend to class.

"What's wrong? Is there something on my face?", Rosti asked.

"You know..", Will started,"..one of these days, I hope I can meet the real you"

Rosti nearly tripped over his feet.

"W-well..whatever do you mean by that?", he said with a strained smile.

"..I once had an upperclassmen kinda like you", Will continued,"..he belonged to a different school though"

"What?"

Will knows people that I don't?

Unacceptable!

"Surely you would tell me if you met somebody new..we're best friends after all"

"Bro, chill..it's not that deep", Will said nervously.

It seemed..no matter which life. Itadori Yuji was always destined to have best friends who were always more than a little bit interested in him.

Todo wasn't gay, though.

…Probably.

Not that there was anything wrong with that.

"..I didn't really talk with him all that much, but the only time I did..he was..a really dependable person"

Choso still kicked the shitze out of him though.

Anyways..

"Look, it's Will-senpai!"

Will awkwardly waved at the gaggle of girls off in the distance.

"Kyaaa!"

"You seem to be quite popular these days", Rosti said frostily..heh, see what I did there?

"Haha, the teenage girl heart is a mystery to me"

Indeed, Will had absolutely no idea why they were interested in him.

And there was a very good reason for that.

Yuji Itadori had died a virgin.

A three-hundred-year-old virgin.

It was, frankly, a tragedy of unavoidable circumstances.

He was given a death sentence when he was fifteen.

After that, the two girls his own age he regularly interacted with were either THAT bitch or really scary.

And then devouring Death Paintings 4 through 9 turned his bodily fluids poisonous. Which naturally made doing 'this and that' impossible.

"..Well, it's not like I'm against you being popular. In a school where everything is about status, it's refreshing to see a boy who doesn't care about such things..Besides, you wouldn't be interested in the advances of girls other than Elfaria-sama anyway..right, Will?"

"…"

"Right..Will?"

Will Serfort was not Itadori Yuji.

He had his own personality, his own experiences, his own relationships, and ultimately, his own life.

However, as he got older there was no guarantee that he wouldn't develop the same symptoms as that man.

In other words..he was on a time limit on getting laid.

..What's more, his lifelong Bruzzah would be disappointed if he used a childhood promise as an excuse!

In short, Will Serfort must gain a girlfriend before he reached adulthood..and he could not afford to be choosy.

"…"

Rosti stared at him.

"Will?"

"I'm thinking."

"About?"

"My future."

"Oh?"

"A very important part of my future."

Rosti's smile slowly disappeared.

"…Should I be worried?"

"Probably."

Meanwhile, in a certain Tower..

"Will, you cheater!"

Out of the corner of his eye, Will spotted something.

In order to create a diversion, Will pretended to look up at the tower.

"..Do you think that she is watching over us? Right now?", he asked.

"I know for a fact she is, and you better pray she did not hear you", Rosti supplied.

"..Is it a bit twisted to say that I want her to be mad at me, just a little?"

"..Pervert"

In the distance, a yellow lizard like creature with one eye stuck to a ceiling above a girl.

"WoMan..BrEAsts..kIss", The Curse began sticking out it's tongue and—

A dark, blood red ball floated in front of him..

"eH?"

Blood Manipulation: Piercing Blood.

The sphere exploded.

A razor-thin stream of Cursed Energy-reinforced blood tore straight through the Curse's body, splattering its remains across the wall.

"What was that?"

But before, the girl could turn around, the Blood disappeared, reshaping itself once again into a ball..and returned to its owner.

"Did something happen?", Rosti asked.

"No, I just tripped a bit", Will said with a smile.

"Just be careful", the boy sighed.

I'm sorry Rosti.

But this needs to be kept a secret.

Curses existed here too, but without Tengen-sama's barriers keeping Cursed Energy concentrated within Japan, the Cursed Spirits born in this world were exceptionally weak.

Barely more than vermin.

Something an experienced sorcerer could eliminate without breaking stride.

..However, it would be a different story if Jujutsu were to be discovered.

Will had seen what happened when Jujutsu became intertwined with human society.

He had no intention of letting that happen here.

Not again.

Will Serfort was not Itadori Yuji.

He did not know Reversed Cursed Technique.

He passed out due to Anemia during his first couple of months as a Sorcerer.

His Shrine was different from his.

..and he definitely wasn't someone befitting the title of The Strongest.

But even then..

'You are a strong kid, so help others'

He was a Jujutsu Sorcerer.

…
