MCSM - The End.

Summary:

What do you do when you lose each and every one of the people you love in the worst possible ways?

How do you walk and breathe after that?

How is it that you still remain a brother even when you no longer have a sister?

A friend when you ran out of friends?

A lover, when did you lose the love of your life?

Many say you get over it, that you learn and meet people who don't replace but do heal and soften your grief, maybe that's what happens to others. But not for me, I have done and undone things in these years, but I have not moved on. Because to overcome means to forget, and I don't want to forget what they were.

Notes:

Alternate universe of MCSM, during the events of the story Reuben, Lukas, Ivor, Petra, Olivia, Axel, and the younger twin sister of the Order leader Jesse, Jessica, have perished, leaving him alone over the years.

This is a story that covers themes such as grief that never gets resolved, depression, suicidal tendencies, and attempts. If you are a sensitive person to these topics, I recommend skipping it.

That said, you proceed at your own risk.

Enjoy the story-

Chapter 1: Think I'll miss you forever... like the stars miss the sun in the morning sky.

Chapter Text

The twilight began to tint the sky with golden and orange hues, while the sun slowly faded on the horizon, leaving behind a trail of melancholy. Jesse walked aimlessly, like a castaway in an ocean of memories, through a world he once shared with his brave companions. Now, the mantle of nite spread over him like a black veil, enveloping him in unfathomable solitude. The shadow of the losses he had suffered surrounded him, like a persistent echo that found no rest.

The first to leave was Rubén, his inseparable adventure companion, a loyal friend whose absence left an impossible void to fill. The days that followed turned gloomy, and the cheerful laughter of the little pig became a distant echo resonating in the deepest corners of his memory. Jesse could never shake the feeling that, with Rubén, a part of his own soul had also departed.

Shortly after, Lukas and Ivor joined that silent procession into oblivion. The wise smiles and witty words of Lukas, which once brightened their days, now only lived in the faint murmur of their thoughts. Ivor's workshop, once bustling and full of life, lay in an unsettling silence, a mute testament to the absence of his eccentric but endearing friend.

The loss of Petra was a devastating blow, a furious storm that left him reeling. The brave huntress, whose indomitable spirit had been a constant source of inspiration, faded away, leaving behind a trail of sacrifices and courage. Their echoes still resonated in every corner of the world, but Jesse felt irreparably alone, like a ship adrift in a stormy sea.

Then it was Axl and Olivia's turn, those close friends who gradually disappeared one after the other, like stars fading in the firmament. The shared jokes, the strategies crafted with ingenuity, all were relegated to a desolate landscape full of memories, where the foundations of their friendship crumbled little by little, leaving him alone in a vast world he no longer recognized.

Finally, the most painful moment of all arrived: the loss of his younger sister, Jessica. Without her, Jesse fell into an abyss of unfathomable pain, a dark pit from which there seemed to be no escape. Each corner, which had once been filled with their shared laughter, now marked the passage of a new day in an endless journey of solitude. The absence of Jessica was a void that consumed him from within, like a wound that would never heal.

Time passed like a whisper in the wind, taking with it the last spark of hope that had dwelled in his heart. Jesse, now a faded shadow of what he once was, wandered the world with tired eyes and a broken soul. The flame of adventure, which once burned so brightly within him, had extinguished, and only the muffled laughter and the echoes of voices that once filled his world remained, now cursed by solitude and memory.
