Work Text:
every night, kirishima would pull back his sheets and get out bed, and would stay looking at the floor. his friend would only appear at a specific time, in the middle of the night. so, he programmed his body to open his eyelids at exactly 4:30, and waited for about five minutes standing up to make sure his friend had arrived and they were the only people awake. not his moms or anyone else.
he would open the door to the dark room and walk carefully to the kitchen, where there was light. getting closer to the kitchen drawer, his friend would call out to him and ask if he was hungry. he would agree.
"do you wanna eat?"
and usually the only response he gave was a nod. then he would open his mouth to eat and bite into the delicious meal with his sharp teeth. then he would watch the red liquid from it drip onto the floor. he would see bits of the food slowly fall apart as he licked his lips, craving more.
as always, he awaited the next instruction from his friend, one who looked after him with care and always worried. kirishima felt safe around it. itwas as if its voice was always hugging him, making him more comfortable. his friend understood him so well that it was as if it was even a part of him.
"maybe you should cut it so it's easier for you to eat it."
and that's where his friend always helped him. it offered his hand, asked for the food so it could cut it. kirishima would stretch the food towards him, watching it being slowly torn apart.
"deeper, so it tastes better."
and he would obey without any objections.
yeah, his friend was a bit strange, it would always have the same speech and they would always have the same conversations.. but kirishima truly liked it. after all, the knife was his biggest friend. he didn't have any others. the knife made him feel like he was worth something, because it was the only one who offered him help so he could feel better.
everything would remain like that till he started feeling numb and actually noticing blood on the floor. his friend didn't even care about cleaning, but that was okay, because kirishima knew that his friend did too much for him, also needing to rest.
however, it was a shame that kirishima developed an addiction to his friend, the knife. and would probably never leave it alone again. they would be friends forever. kirishima would never take a break from the knife and neither it from him.
even if their friendship had to be a secret, the knife helped kirishima start smilling again. even if the smile only appeared when he was watching his skin being ripped open. bleeding. red.
