Chapter Text

-Anne-

Being reincarnated about half a century after your death along with your husband's 5 other wives was not something Anne would ever guess would happen to her.

But here she was. In ‘modern’ clothes (which were much comfier than the corsets from her life, but she would never admit that), with all of Henry’s ex-wives. Somehow their ages were changed, but they kept all their memories. Only Jane, Anne, and Kitty kept their ages from the time of their death. Probably because they were the only ones dying while being married to Henry. Thank god that asshole wasn’t here.

Each of them got their own separate rooms with an ensuite and a colour coded door to match, hers being a lovely shade of green, while the ladies in waiting got one room to share. For some reason, there were also 5 other rooms, one orange, one dark purple, one grey, one light lavender and one teal, but they were all locked. It made Anne wonder who else would be joining them in this house.

Speaking of the house, it was an apartment in central London! It was reasonably sized, the inside was a mix of their time’s decor and a more recent-looking style. There were the queens and ladies’ bedrooms, the 5 locked rooms, the entryway, a sitting room, a dining room, a kitchen, a sunroom, a greenhouse, and a library. There was also an elevator down to the ground floor, but the only options were that and their home.

Walking into the library, Anne felt a wave of sadness. How she wished her daughter, Elizabeth could see this. She loved reading, spending most of her time in the palace library as Anne watched over her from above. As a tear ran down her face, she mourned that she could never be with her baby as she grew into the queen she became.

“Whatcha doing?”

“Kitty! You scared me!”

“Oh sorry.” Kat apologised, looking down.

“It’s okay, Kitty. You just caught me off guard, is all.” Anne comforted the younger girl, quickly wiping away her tears.

“Anne! Kat! Come to the sitting room!” Lina called, startling the two women.

Oh, what did she want this time?

Standing at the foot of the stairs, unable to see into the room where the others were, she heard coughing, and then a voice that made her heart skip a beat.

“Edward, cover your mouth, it’s bad manners.”

She burst through the door – Kitty close behind – and nearly fell down the lowered seating in the middle of the room.

“Elizabeth!”

“Mother?”

“Oh Lizzy…”

“Mother!!”

Elizabeth sprinted over, engulfing Anne in a bear hug.

“Oh Mother! How I’ve missed you!” she cried.

“I have missed you as well, my dear.”

Elizabeth moved to holding Anne’s shoulders, a bright smile on her face. Then the older woman had a wonderful idea.

“You must meet everyone!”
