Morgan
- He’s quite tall at 6’1. Among all the named characters in my fic, only Priam is taller. I meant for him to be a beanpole but his clothes kind of hide it.
- The more visible repairs on the coat are the ones he’s done himself. He had the eyes covered and the trims changed by a tailor.
- The pocket on his belt is reminiscent of the kind that women would historically wear under their skirts. Who knows where he got it. He likes the mouse.
- Starting to age a teeny bit in his mouth/jowls. Still frequently assumed to be younger.
- Shoes come from the original mercenary design.
- The blue shirt has elbow-length sleeves.
Owain
- He’s 5’9 or 5’10, and probably the most conventionally attractive of the main trio. Owain’s looks are not the reason why he’s single (or a virgin).
- That said, he’s starting to age a little in his hairline/brow.
- The style of his vest and the purple belt are 100% inspired by the costuming of the Bastian expy in the production he saw in Ylisstol.
- This shirt is probably the one he gets from Libra in chapter 5 after his original shirt ends up destroyed. I picture the original to be very similar, but with a rounder collar and fewer buttons.
- His Brand is intentionally on the left forearm, but I’m not really committed to the placement or orientation. Inner forearm makes sense to me because it’s right above the veins, but I don’t know if I like it aesthetically. It’s there for now.
- Bag is to scale, though maybe it should be even larger.
Nina
She’s the only main character I’ve drawn before, and her costuming has changed a lot over the years. Notably, this is the first time I've drawn her smiling.
- Initially, I envisioned her in a dark flier uniform before deciding that was overkill for her current position in the pegasus knights. Next I gave her a standard pegasus knight uniform with a black and purple color scheme before I realized that might clash too much with her hair. I kept her amethyst earrings, though.
- I’ve gone back and forth on whether the metallic accents should be the standard white silver or not. Here they’re probably brass rather than gold. Her armor remains white silver, but with gold or brass accents.
- 5’7 without heels. She ended up just a tiny bit taller than Lucina.
- The white showing through the slits in the skirt is the bottom of the chemise.
- Whistle is probably not to scale.
