“Uno!”
Slug yelled, looking proud as ever.
”What?! How do ye keep winning?!”
Sailor whined, looking down at his own cards.
It was definitely past dark by now, they’d been playing card games for a while now.
Slug had won 3 times in a row, Sailor won once, and Sandbag seemed to be really bad at this game because he kept on having to draw cards.
“That doesn’t mean I’ve won yet, it just means I’m close!”
Slug laughed.
“It’s fine, I think I got this one…”
Sandbag said, putting down a wild card with absolute concentration.
“What color?”
”Uuh. Red.”
“Aw.”
Slug sighed somewhat dramatically, reaching over to draw cards. Luckily for them, they were able to find a red card by the 2nd draw.
Not that it mattered much, because it was Sailor’s turn now. Sailor put down a red 6.
Sandbag looked very proud of himself for being able to get Slug to draw any cards. It put down a red 7.
Slug put down a red 1.
Sailor cautiously put down a yellow 1. Looking down at his 5 cards with suspicion.
Sandbag and Slug smiled at the sight.
Sandbag put down two yellow 3s.
”Looks like I win!”
Slug laughed, putting down two green 3s.
”What?!!??”
Both Sailor and Sandbag yelled in unison.
Sandbag pulled Slug towards him tightly, ruffling it’s hair. Slug yelped in response.
”You’ve gotta be cheating!”
“I’d never!”
Slug choked out between laughs.
The three all laughed together.
Sandbag kissed Slug on the head before letting them go, to which Slug saw Sailor side-eye from the corner of his eye.
