Work Text:
It’s my fault that I’m standing here at his casket laying flowers over his body.
If I’d tried harder maybe he would have stayed. Maybe he would have called me or Abbot and gotten the help that he needed instead of this.
God, he didn’t deserve to die this way.
Robby was a good man. He carried the weight of the world on his shoulders, yes, but he was a good man nevertheless.
Another person that I failed to save. “Come on Robby. Why did you call me? I would’ve driven to where ever you were at and I would have helped you. You know that,” I ask his body.
I don’t get a response. I’m not surprised by that. The dead rarley speak back.
I hate this. I don’t want to walk into work and not see him. I don’t want to look at my phone and never see another random text from him. I don’t want any of that.
I want him alive i want him joking and yelling at paramedics And at Gloria.
I want to see him gossiping with Princess and never admiting that he did. I want him arguing with me about stupid shit.
Not laying here in a casket.
I’m so sorry I couldn’t save you Robby.
