It was a clear night in Yoyleland, Needle was just heading back to
Coiny and Pin after her long day of protecting the science museum.
She had to protect the memories she had collected within, to keep it
away from the 'Pinheads' of the world according to Pencil. Needle
couldn't stop thinking about it. What if she failed to protect it and
someone uses the memories for mass destruction. All the blame would
be on her. Pin and Coiny said that they were going to do a movie night, so
maybe that would distract her for a little while. Out of nowhere, a familiar
voice called out for her from a distance.
"NEEDLE!! WAIT!!"
She turned to face the new presence. It was just Pencil, running rather
pathetically towards Needle. When she finally reached the silver object
she started to pant heavily as if she just ran a marathon. "Needle!" Pencil finally
said, "where were you planning on going tonight?" It was a bit odd that she wanted
to know where Needle was going, but what else has she said that is less odd before.
"I was just going to drop by Pin and Coiny's place. Why...do you ask?" Pencil scoffed
as she heard that response.
"Really?? Them lot? What could they POSSIBLY be doing that is better than hanging
out with us freesmarters?" Pencil was always that confident girl, she acts like everything
she does is better than anyone else's use of time.
"Well, uh...we were going to watch a movie together." Responded Needle as Pencil grew
curious.
"What movie?" Questioned Pencil, wanting to know every single detail of where Needle
was going and what she was doing.
"Im...not sure at the moment, but I will have to see..." Needle immediately noticed that
dumb smirk Pencil always has when she knows exactly what to do.
"What's the point if you are only gonna find out over that end?? What if it's something
you don't like? Pfft- then you are going to regret not coming with me instead."
Needle was slightly taken aback.
"going..with you? I-I don't know if I can betray the bunch like that..."
"Who cares about them? Just take the easier choice of hanging out with me instead!
Needle stood there speechless. She didn't know what to say. She didn't want to make
Pencil disappointed or betray WOAH bunch.
"Needle. If you don't say anything, you are coming with me." Needle looked back at the
direction she was going to go to then looked back at Pencil. Within a few seconds, Pencil
grabs Needles hand which made her jump a bit. "Cmon Needle, it will be fun! I promise."
"O...Okay..." Needle finally responded with a bit of uncertainty.
A bit later, Pencil takes Needle to the edge of Yoyleland. They both sat in front of the Goiky canal, watching the waves as they went by.
"Hey Needle, quick question." Pencil asked as Needle turned to face her. "have you been taking care of those artefacts I told you to keep safe?"
"yeah but. I kinda almost let it get found by TB and GB..." Needle admitted as she turned to face the canal again.
"heh, looks like you need to protect it more." Pencil teased as she moved closer to Needle. Needle noticed this and became a bit curious as to why Pencil was so close to her. She didn't mind it though, it's just a bit... out of the ordinary for them.
"Look, I just- don’t know if I'm able to protect it for long. If I already failed like that, who knows what could happen next if I let someone else into the museum..."
Pencil only responded with a simple "hm". After a few seconds of silence, Pencil made Needle look at her again. "I've seen what you've done Needle, I'm sure you will try your hardest to keep them safe. Knowing you, you would probably go above and beyond what an ordinary person could do. And that's what I like about you." Needle's eyes widened as a faint blush emerged on her face.
"wh-what?-" Needle stuttered as Pencil lightly chuckled at Needle's flustered state.
"If anything does go south, feel free to contact me. I'll be there for you." Pencil then got up from where she was sitting. "Yeah, it probably is pretty late huh... wanna come with me to the clubhouse and stay for the night?" Needle nodded in response with a slight smile as she stood up aswell. "alright lets go." Pencil said as she held Needle's hand again and started to walk towards the Yoyle Needy.
