Scribble, scribble.
The only sound in the office was the soft scratching of a pen sliding across paper.
"Ha..." She lets out a soft sigh, leaning over her desk.
"What are you working on right now, Madam President?"
Hearing his voice, she paused and looked up with a tired but bright smile.
"Ah, Sensei. Good work. Just finalizing the Eden Treaty to finally put a stop to the constant bickering between Trinity and Gehenna. All that’s left is to finalize the papers and have the Tea Party and Pandemonium Society meet for negotiations.
"So hardworking," Sensei walked over, setting his hands on the edge of her desk. "Make sure to take proper breaks, okay? Rin-chan’s worried sick."
"Like you're one to talk, Sensei~"
"You got me there."
"But I'm the adult here. In my world, people your age are always out and about spending their youth. Do yourself a favor and act your own age once in a while."
She stared up at him and leaned back in her chair, twirling her pen as a grin forms in her lips.
"Then... once everything's more calm... will you take me on a date, Sensei?"
Sensei flinched for a moment but managed to catch himself.
"Sure, if that could at least lighten your heart, then let's go on a date," Sensei smiled.
"Promise?"
"Cross my heart."
"You promised! No taking it back okay?" Now I'm all fired up!" She flashes a thumbs up. Sensei could have sworn her halo was shaking excitedly.
"Okay, slow down," Sensei laughed.
"You might crash if you don't pace yourself. Here, how about you eat something first?"
He reached into his bag, pulling out a small carton and a neatly wrapped pastry, placing them beside her mountain of documents.
"Strawberry milk and Castella cake?! Huhu, Sensei, thank youu~ T_T"
"It's the least I can do," Sensei smiled, stepping back. "Well then, I'll head out now to not disturb you."
"Wait—"
She caught the edge of his sleeve. Sensei blinked, turning back. "Hmm?"
Her cheeks flushed a delicate pink as she looked down at her desk. "S-Stay with me, Sensei... you can't?"
"I can," Sensei replied gently. "I'll only need to stamp some documents. So, is it okay for me to work here then?"
She nodded quickly.
"You can sit beside me," she added quietly. "Bring a chair."
Sensei chuckled, pulling a spare chair up right next to her. "Guess the President is in the mood to be spoiled~"
"Ahem. I just wanted my advisor to supervise me."
"Let's go with that. Shall we?"
"Yes."
For a long time, the office fell back into a comfortable, quiet rhythm.
"I feel so much more relaxed around you, Sensei," Miharu murmured softly, staring at her paperwork. "Like... I know everything's gonna work out fine with you around."
"I'm glad I could give you that sense of security," Sensei replied, stamping a document.
"Which is funny," she teased, glancing over at him, "because you looked so helpless when we first met."
“I was like uwaaah what a strange adult."
"Give me a break," Sensei groaned playfully. "Who wouldn't be when you literally get sent to another world?"
"Fair point, hehe.” the blue haired girl let out a giggle.
Slowly, her laughter died down, replaced by a deep sense of calm. She turned toward him, looking into his eyes with absolute sincerity.
"I'm glad I got to meet you, Sensei."

They never got their date as Sensei was shot during the Eden Treaty signing.
After that the GSC President vowed to never let Sensei get involved in matters that would harm him.
It snowballed into her not listening to Rin and Sensei all for the sake of keeping him safe.
That resulted in her shouldering everything by herself.
To take responsibility...
And that would end up becoming her biggest mistake.
