The first thing you thought, meeting Karkat Vantas in real life, was that he was taller than you expected. Not tall, mind you, he's about an inch shorter than you, and probably nothing compared to your Bro (You're kind of not sure, these days, exactly how tall he was. He seemed bigger than god, back when you knew him, but you were a kid than. Small in a way rose calls malnourished and John calls surprising. You probably aren't taller than him by now, you still had your house during your growth spurt, you can measure yourself against things, but that's about all you know. Karkat's definitely shorter than your brother, but you don't know how much. This shouldn't bother you as much as it does) but he's a tiny bit taller than rose, who is a tiny bit shorter than you, and its weird. Terezi is about your height, which isn't as weird, she always seemed insanely confident, and she's always seemed more alien than Karkat, through your messages, despite his various bizarre analogies. Maybe its the smell-o-vision thing. But, anyway, you thought Karkat would be shorter, because of the way he acts, is, everything, but he's not. And its weird.
Kanaya is a little shorter than rose, her growth kind of stunted, you'd guess, from the vampire thing, (you try not to wonder if she'll still look about the alien equivalent of fourteen, after all the three years are up.) Vriska is tall, like taller than you, but as no one else comments on it you guess? Its normal for trolls? And Gamzee is, Gamzee, so you never really know where he is, but his posture is shit enough you cant really tell. (Like with your brother, you think once, and than put out of your mind, because *weird*)
From what you've picked up on, Karkat's short, for a troll, which must mean rose is really short, for a troll, at least one of her age, and you think that's pretty funny, even if you haven't gotten the chance to bring it up yet. Trolls are fucking tall, is what your trying to get across here. (And it kinda freaks you out.)
