Chapter Text
September 1st, 20XX, 4-13 AM, somewhere in Illinois
Damian was… a lot of things right now.
…mostly pissed….
~~—~~5 minutes before~~—~~
he tied his hair up, brushing it out of his face with the hand not holding a piece of bright green paper that quite frankly hurt to look at in hand with the coordinates of where his brother told him to go. it was a remote area with not much for miles around it located in Illinois. he’d been walking forever in what felt to be circles before the clearing. this is before he fell through the hole. the glowing. green. probably radioactive. hole. He was starting to regret not destroying the trackers Alfred forced him to keep active.
“DANYALLLLLLLL—-“

September 1st, 20XX, 4-24 AM, Ghost zone
Danny stood over his brother, attempting to shake him awake after ACCIDENTALLY (he would like that on the record) opening the portal below him.
“ DAMIAN! DAMIANNN! GET UP GET UP GET UPPP!!!!!!”
Danny , fully aware of the danger he has unleashed upon himself, closed his eyes as he was seconds away from slapping his brother before feeling a hand grab his arm. Danny screamed jumping backwards and bumping his head on the wall. ow. just his luck. once he got up from the floor he stared back at the emerald green eyes glaring at him with a mix of emotions, flickering between anger and longing, slowly pulling himself up.
Danny stared at his twin with his shoulder length black wolf cut shimmering blue, green eyes flaked with gold, and a golden tan skin. Damian stared back at the shorter boy with similar features, almost identical other than his crisp blue opal eyes shimmering with what seemed to be millions of celestial bodies and the anemic pale of the skin. they stared at one another for what seemed only comparable to a star’s lifecycle before being cut off by Damien, jumping into his brothers arms.
Danny shifted slowly in a fit of light into his regal ghostly attire, his hair shifting to a holographic white, burning acid green eyes, pointed ears and teeth, while his clothes shifted from the grunge style hoodie and oversized jeans to a suit made from the void of space, a cape that held the universe within itself, and a crown made of crystal ice wrapped in a nebulas ribbons.
Damian opened his eyes and startle of the flash bang, seeing his brother in all his godly glory. he’d seen his brothers other form, wishing to weep at the thought of Danyal’s suffering, just as his brother had seen his uniform, molded into Damian’s very own version of robin. despite his training Damian couldn’t tear his eyes away from the sight.
“heh.. yeah its still a bit of a shock to me too.. look fre-“
Damian cut him off
“like a true king”
..
……
they stared at each other before Danny burst out in a small fight of laughter
“you’ve grown” Damian stated, a mixture of regret and pride strong in his voice. Even if Danny couldn’t smell the conflicting emotions on him hus body would give him away. he was safe here. they were safe here.
“not as much as you have eh?” replied Danny

Alfred knew everything. The man prided himself in that simple fact. between the floorboards that creaked at the slightest paw of a animal resident to the secrets the manor held within the walls and even the second a child thought that he wouldn’t catch them half-way out a window.
He knew Damian left. he knew when, to where, to why. it was obvious since the start of Damian’s residency there was a piece missing within him. A brother. He also knew he believed his brother dead till the night a flicker of green seeped under his rooms door a year into the stay, leaving the young man happier than ever before. even if that just ment he finally tried Alfreds pancakes that faithful day.
Damian wasn’t the only one receiving a note from the 2nd young master that night. As phantom explained more and more Alfred’s heart melted for the twins swearing loyalty to the ghost king.
He was quite happy with this arrangement, Master Damian and Master Danny would be able to reunite safely with his supervision and a break from the vigilante life, while Alfred could see the late master Martha and late master Thomas whenever he pleased.
While Damian didn’t know of the arrangement he knew Alfred was ok with his voyage to his shock after hearing stories of Alfred’s fury unleashed upon runaway robins in there escapades. How did he know exactly? Well Alfred would never let a child go hungry on a trip, thus the neatly packed arrangements of snacks.
He began preparing breakfast for the full house, soon to wake up from the annual night off of patrol. At lest the villains had enough sense to not mess with the famous penny-one’s wrath of protecting his family’s yearly peace.
