Chapter Text
On a sunny morning in City Faro, Lukas, the blond writer and member of the Order of the Stone, was in the kitchen of the Order's Hall. He had decided to bake some delicious cookies to share with his friends during the next meeting in the hall. Lukas had always enjoyed cooking, and cookies were a perfect choice to brighten the day.
With concentration, Lukas began to measure and mix the ingredients. However, his hair, which he had let grow longer than usual lately, constantly got in the way of his work. Initially, she only had to blow lightly to push the strands away from her face, but as she progressed in her preparation, her pompadour could no longer keep the rebellious golden strands at bay.
Frustrated, Lukas tried to focus on the task, but his hair rebelled, falling directly into his face at the most inconvenient moment, just as he was about to put the cookies in the oven.
"Damn it!" Unable to bear it any longer, Lukas let out a curse into the air, unaware that Jessica, the leader of the Order, was passing by.
"Is everything okay, Lukas?" Jessica asked, noticing the blonde's evident frustration with concern.
Lukas, not wanting to admit his discomfort, shook his head. — Everything is fine.
— Are you sure, Lu?
— Yes! Everything is wonderful, Jessica!
Faced with Jessica's insistence, his tone became annoying, and he responded brusquely, unintentionally hurting the young woman.
The jet-black woman said nothing more, and hurt by Lukas's words, Jessica decided to leave, turning around to go. Before crossing the door, Lukas, feeling the weight of his bad mood, stopped her with a calmer tone.
— Wait, Jessica. I shouldn't have said that. I'm sorry. —Lukas apologized, embarrassed, to a always understanding Jessica, who accepted his apologies with her characteristic smile.
— I'm really sorry Jess, but I'm a bit frustrated. It may sound silly to say, but my hair keeps falling out over and over again while I'm trying to bake. "To demonstrate sincerity in his apologies, Lukas clumsily explained the situation with his rebellious hair." Jessica, laughing at the tenderness of the explanation, offered a solution.
"I have an idea for your hair problem." —Said Jessica, removing her characteristic yellow hairpin from her hair.
She stood on tiptoe, reaching Lukas's head. Gently, she brushed the blonde's hair back and placed her yellow clip among the golden strands of the blonde's hair. Both blushed at the unexpected situation.
"—Now, at least this way your hair will be under control." —Jessica commented with a soft laugh.
— Thanks Jess, it will help me a lot. —Lukas, grateful and also a bit embarrassed, expressed his gratitude. However, just when they thought the situation had been resolved, Jessica began to experience the same problem with her hair.
— It seems that now the problem is mine. I'll sort it out later. —Said Jessica, nervously running her hand along the path Lukas's hand had taken while stroking her ebony hair.
Lukas laughs, adjusting Jessica's fallen bangs to the side. — I'll give it back to you later, I promise.
— Don't worry, Lukas. You can keep it a little longer if you like.
This time, the meeting for the Order of the Stone was about Lukas narrating the first draft of what would be his first book, in the classic weekly meeting of the members of the Order of the Stone, which was now taking place near the celebrations of the foundation day.
— I'll see you later, Lukas. —Jessica said goodbye with a smile and left.
With a farewell gesture, Jessica left Lukas dumbfounded in the kitchen, regaining his composure when he remembered his original task of baking cookies. The scene left Lukas thoughtful, grateful for Jessica's understanding, and aware that sometimes the simplest solutions can come from the most unexpected actions.
