Kuromi sat at her dining table eating a simple breakfast of fruits and yogurt, thinking out her evening for her and my Melodys date night. My Melody promised to take her to a new cafe and bookstore that opened downtown tonight! Kuromi thought about what to wear and what time she should be ready to go.
Ping!
Kuromi glanced at her phone with of course the purple case. A small pink bunny charm hanging from it. She unlocked her phone to see the new text messages she had
My Melody <3 : Hey love! Im so so so sorry
but can we reschedule our date tn TwT
Me : Oh alright sure, is everything okay?
You don't normally cancel
My Melody <3 : I think i got a cold so im
feeling the best, im so sorry
Me : No worries! I hope you feel better love
Kuromi placed her phone down, sighing quietly. She wasn't upset per say but she was disappointed that she wouldn't see her girlfriend today. She knew Melo wasn’t lying or anything like that, and it definitely wasn't her fault! She was sick!
Now what? That was kinda my only plan for today.
She really wants to see her but Kuromi doesn't want to seem desperate! She had a reputation! She can’t be too clingy. Kuromi hummed in thought, standing as she finished her breakfast and brought her bowl to the sink to wash.
Kuromi took a small shower after breakfast and finished getting ready for the day. She checked the weather for the day seeing that it would be lightly raining all day, so probably not best to go for a drive on her scooter. The house was already tidy and just the way she liked it so she didn’t have any chores to do.
….
Well…. My Melody just cancelled the date because she was sick, she didn’t say anything about not seeing her today.
Kuromi quickly packed a small backpack, bringing a clean water bottle (while My Melody was sick she definitely didn't want the same), some chicken soup packets, and a pink fluffy blanket (Shut up she bought it for My Melody NOT herself. Absolutely not. That’s ridiculous), she grabbed a bit of cough medicine she had in her cabinets. Just in case.
She grabbed an umbrella, put on some shoes and walked out her door, making sure to lock it behind her, and started the 30 minute walk to her girlfriends house.
After a small walk with an albeit necessary detour to a Hanausa’s flower shop to pick up a bouquet of daisies and pink lilies for My Melody and some strawberry KitKats, she arrived at My Melody's house. She raised her hand not holding the flower bouquet and knock 3 times on the door
Knock Knock Knock!
From the inside of the house Kuromi could make out a quiet if not groggy ‘Just a second’ presumably from My Melody. The front door opened to a tired, red eyed My Melody wrapped in a blanket sniffling every few seconds. My Melody looked at Kuromi directly staring with some confusion.
“Kuromi? I thought I told you that we couldn't go out tonight, what are you doing here?” My Melody asked softly, voice slightly hoarse from her cold.
Kuromi lifted the bouquet up and outwards to her girlfriend and used her free hand to rub the back of her own neck, blushing awkwardly, “Oh well, I uh, well you said we had to reschedule the date because you were sick but I,” She hesitated. “I still wanted to see you? And you're sick so I thought I could, y’know, take care of you?”
“Oh! Kuromi! You're so sweet, you really didn't have to do this for me.” She glanced down, seeing the flowers and the backpack Kuromi brought. “Well come on in, ill get some water for those!” She reached out and gently grabbed the bouquet from Kuromi's hand.
They headed back into the house, Kuromi instructed her girlfriend to rest on the couch while she got a nice glass vase to put the daisies and lilies into. “Hey Melo, I brought you some soup. Would you like me to make you some?”
“Sniffle Yes please Kuro, sniffle do you think you could also bring me some water too?” Melody asked, clearly trying her absolute best not to sneeze.
Kuromi chuckled softly, setting the soup onto the stove. Her girlfriend was cute, okay?! While the water boiled she brought her backpack and a big glass of cold water over to My Melody. She set the drink onto a small pink coaster at the side table next to the couch. She unzipped her bag and started searching through her things, bringing out the blanket and strawberry KitKats.
“Here Melo I brought you some more stuff” Kuromi announced, giving her girlfriend the treats as she wrapped her in the blanket, making sure she was covered and cozy before handing her the glass of water.
“Thank you Kuro, I love you, you really didn't have to do all this for me.” My Melody said, smiling gently. Resting her hand on top of Kuromi's.
“Yeah. Well you are my girlfriend and I, uh I love you too, Melo. a lot, and you aren’t feeling well so I thought I'd help?” Kuromi admitted under her breath. “I’ll go get your soup, it should be done, I'm guessing you want a pink bowl?” At her girlfriend's sleepy nod she placed a gentle kiss on the hand resting on hers before standing and heading back into the kitchen to grab My Melody's food. She returned with the promised pink bowl of soup, carefully placing it on the coffee table before crawling onto the couch next to her girlfriend. Once she was settled she handed the soup to her girlfriend.
“Thanks again Kuro, I promise to make it up to you when I feel better okay?” My Melody said resting her head on her girlfriend's shoulder. Kuromi smiled at the softness her partner always gave her.
“You never owe me anything, my love.” Kuromi whispered, giving My Melody a kiss on the top of her head.
