Work Text:
Soyo Nagasaki couldn't stand the pink thing that followed her to her apartment after band practice. The peace she had previously had was now replaced by the hums and melodic laughter of Anon Chihaya, her bandmate and excitingly recent girlfriend. Soyo sighed as she watched the water fill up to the very top of the kettle, listening to Anon’s constant rambling, whether that be about influencers she watched or a cute top she bought. While half-listening, another thing lingered in the back of her mind.
Tomorrow would be Anon’s birthday, the 8th of September if she remembered correctly. Soyo had bought strawberries, grapes, and oranges as well as a loaf of bread and heavy whipping cream to make and pack Anon’s favorite fruit sandwiches for her, but it didn't feel like enough. Although Soyo hated to admit it, she loved the pink creature. Probably way too much.
She hated how she made her heart beat out of her chest, hated how just by looking at her it sent Soyo into a deep blush. Although she could be annoying at times, she loved her. So, so much. Soyo thought more deeply as she set the kettle on the stove, pondering what else she could do for Anon. Tomori would have probably written a letter, covered in autumn leaves for decoration whilst mumbling, “Happy birthday, Ano-chan.” Taki would have grumbled about the time, effort, and money it took to bake a whole cake, but she would work her butt off decorating it just for her anyway. Raana…? Honestly, no clue. Soyo decided that she would have probably taken a piece of cake, played a single riff, and muttered, “Happy Birthday. Good cake.” But then, what would leave with Soyo?
She wanted to celebrate Anon’s birthday in a Soyo way, in a way only she could show her love. Soyo rubbed her temples as she stood, waiting for the water to boil. She must have looked stressed, because she had noticed she had caught the attention of Anon, who was staring at her with concern.
“Soyorin, you good? You seem to be stressed. Come sit!” Anon suggested, patting a hand next to her, signaling her to sit down. Soyo shook her head.
“I’m still making the tea.” She replied, her voice indifferent. Anon stood up and walked towards Soyo, her face pouty. Cute, Soyo thought.
“Don’t be like that, Soyorin~! I know you’re stressed because you were rubbing your temples.” Anon pointed out,
All of Soyo’s thoughts were silenced for a second as she processed Anon’s observation, and a slight blush crept up to her cheeks before she could even process it.
“I- I don’t know what you’re talking about, Anon-chan.” She stuttered with her words, quite uncharacteristic for Soyo. Way to go, she thought. Anon shrugged.
“You didn't even pay attention to my rant!” She sulked, slowly making her way over to the couch once again. Soyo sighed. “This isn’t your house, you know. Stop treating my couch like your bed.” The water had boiled, and the kettle had whistled, so Soyo carefully poured the water into two cups. She set the cups onto a tray and gently carried it over so as not to spill it, and placed the tray on the table in front of Anon. As Anon continued to sulk, she quietly took a sip of her Darjeeling tea. She simply loved the rich, yet subtle flavor of t-
“-nd I’ve been dying to try it again since then!” Anon chirped, her chin resting on her hand in thought. Soyo almost choked on her tea. Hold it.
“Ah! Soyorin! Careful, it’s hot.” Anon warned. Soyo waved her hand in dismissal and wiped tea off her mouth. “Anon-chan, repeat that?” She requested, surprised by her own bewilderment. Anon shot her a weird look and sighed.
“Shoulda been paying attention! I’m not repeating it~!” Anon teased, grinning ear to ear.
Soyo shot a glare at Anon, which earned shivers down her spine for the latter. Anon gulped, giving in.
“Ugh. Fine~. I was saying Nyamuchi; she tried a cake from a popular cake shop that just opened! It’s doing numbers on Insta!” She explained, whipping out her phone in seconds. Her fingers stumbled on the screen, trying to find the post. Soyo nodded, carefully listening. This could be a big hint as to what to do for Anon’s birthday, she realized. Today could lead to an opportunity for the big jackpot! Anon continued.
“And the cake reminded me of a cake I had when I was a child, and I’ve been dying to have that cake again. Er, maybe not the one from the shop, although that would be nice. But the one I had when I was a child. I don’t remember where exactly I got it, but I miss it. It made me so, so happy, Soyorin! It was like magic.” Anon explained, her hands moving along to the rhythm of her words. Very in character for the rhythm guitarist.
The knives of guilt struck Soyo right in the heart, guilty for missing such an important story to Anon. Suddenly, a screen was shoved into her face, the sudden brightness almost blinding her.
“Soyorin, look! Doesn't it look yummy?” She exclaimed, her eyes shining with brightness. Soyo nodded and softly pushed Anon’s hand away from her face.
“Wow, that’s a lot of chocolate,” Soyo mumbled and took another sip of her tea. Anon nodded, her eyebrows furrowing as she looked at the photo of the purple-haired influencer and the slice of cake presented in front of her once again.
“Although this was more chocolate than I remembered. The whole thing is covered in chocolate frosting, but the cake I had when I was younger only had the top part covered, and it had the cool drip design!” Anon stated. Soyo nodded. Anon suddenly had a smug smirk on her face, a face Soyo had been well used to. Soyo stared at Anon in disbelief.
“What?” She snapped, perhaps a bit harsher than she intended. Anon had luckily not paid much attention to it.
“Eh~? Soyorin, are you going to try to replicate the cake for my birthday?” Soyo choked on her tea once again, this time full-on coughing. Anon rushed over and patted Soyo on the back.
“I mean, next week it is my birthday, no?” She mentioned.
Soyo set her teacup down.
“No!” Yes.
“I don’t think I would go that far for you.” Soyo insisted, hacking as she talked. Anon playfully jumped back, holding her chest as if she were holding her heart.
“Ouch! Soyorin, that’s mean!” She moped, finally picking up her own teacup to drink.
“I meant it.” Soyo firmly stated, desperately wanting to convince Anon. Anon leaned back onto the couch in defeat.
“My own girlfriend!” Anon whined. Checkmate. Soyo thought, finally satisfied. She had convinced Anon. Hopefully she keeps on believing this, because Soyo had just thought of the perfect plan to surprise Anon!
Soyo crafted the plan in her head, careful and precise. Next week, after band practice, which just so happened to be the day of her birthday, she would bring Anon into her apartment like any other day. Anon would be sulking as Soyo pretended to forget her birthday, then boom! Soyo would take the cake out of the fridge that she had baked before. And even better, it would be the specific cake Anon had told Soyo about. She would be moved to tears, hugging her and e-
“Ah, Soyorin, I have to go! I forgot I told Tomorin I’d go shopping with her today!” Anon sprang up from her couch and rushed for the door, her footsteps practically sounding more panicked by the second. Soyo whipped her head around in shock.
“Anon-chan, since when have you guys gone shopping?” Soyo asked.
“Ehhhhhh? Uhm, this might be the first time, now that I think about it!” Anon remarked.
“A shop just opened by an antique store in the mall! It’s quite unusual since not many malls have a shop like that, so of course I invited her!” Anon beamed. Soyo nodded and walked towards Anon, holding onto her hand.
“Alright, have fun.” She replied. Soyo felt the corner of her mouth turn up only slightly, and watched Anon run out of her door and down the hallway.

She felt her eyes blink, and suddenly she found herself shopping for Anon’s childhood birthday cake a day before her birthday. Soyo had already gotten everything ready. Or, she was supposed to have gotten everything ready. But instead of that expectation, she disappointingly found herself staring up at the towering shelves of the supermarket, mind blank and all. The realization hit her. She had no idea exactly what the cake was, but just had to go off what Anon had told her the day before. Her words were present, but they were muffled as Soyo struggled to remember.
After a bit, she had decided to just open the Instagram post instead. Staring at her from her phone screen was Nyamuchi, with her adorable cat-like features. Despite this, Soyo’s eyes headed straight for the cake she was holding. She had not much to go off, so she had to stare at the cake in hopes an idea would pop up. After what seemed like about 400 years in that supermarket, she had walked out with oil, milk, eggs, and a box of strawberry cake mix, which matched Anon’s own hair. Soyo sighed and walked back to her apartment, careful not to drop the bags. This is just what I’ll have to work with. Soyo thought. She laid out all of her ingredients, reading the instructions precisely. However, a buzz from her phone had interrupted her. She reached out to grab the phone and saw herself staring at a text from Taki, waiting to be replied to.
Taki Shiina: Isn’t next week Anon’s birthday?
You: Yes.
You: What of it?
Taki Shiina: Shouldn't we do something for her?
Taki Shiina: I mean, if we're going to be here for a lifetime, it’s best to get along and do something nice
You: That’s true.
Taki Shiina: Are you doing anything?
Soyo paused, letting herself stop to think. She rested her chin on her hand, contemplating whether to let Taki help her or not. She wanted to do this by herself, after all. Her heart embarrassingly stung a bit thinking about the fact that she would have to say that the cake was baked by herself and Taki. She was being a little selfish, but who isn't selfish once in a while?
You: I mean, I’m already baking a cake for Anon-chan
You: I want to try to do this myself
Soyo pressed send. It was a risky text, as Taki had already warned the two not to let their relationship disrupt band activities. However, despite the expected wait, she got a text back immediately.
Taki Shiina: I won’t help you with the cake. I meant, should we throw a party for her or something? We can all work on something separately.
Relief filled her heart, her shoulders immediately feeling lighter. A surprise party would definitely suit Anon’s taste in fun. But if they all had different jobs and such, she could still show her love. After all, she wanted the best for her beloved girlfriend. Perhaps a little bonding time with MyGo wouldn't hurt either.
You: Fine. Come to my apartment. Is Tomori-chan or Raana-chan coming as well?
Taki Shiina: I can go pick Tomori up, then we’ll just have to look for the stray cat.
Taki Shiina: Jeez, it’s so hard to locate where she is because she just wanders everywhere. Seriously.
Soyo turned her phone off and continued working on the cake, pouring in the oil and eggs with precision. Soon enough, the smell of strawberries flooded her apartment, and the image of a smiling Anon was burned into her mind. The door to Soyo’s apartment flung open, revealing a sharp-eyed Taki and a fragile Tomori, hand in hand with the carefree Raana. Soyo sighed at the sight of them, eyes blank as usual.
“Soyo-chan, it smells nice,” Tomori stated, hesitantly stepping inside. Raana nodded in agreement with Tomori’s statement. She headed over to the couch and flopped onto it, making herself at home. The sight irritated Soyo a bit, but she decided to let it go. Taki placed bags down onto the counter.
“Okay, Soyo. Here’s what we’re going to do.” Taki announced, turning around to face the rest of the members.
“Soyo, I’m pretty sure you’re making a cake. I’m experienced when it comes to things like this because of RiNG, so you can ask me if you want.” Taki pointed. Soy shrugged, dismissing her.
“Taki-chan, I won’t need much help. I’ve told you this before.” Taki nodded in response.
“Just getting that out of the way.” Her finger redirected to Raana, the sudden attention indifference to the guitarist.
“Stray cat, you’re in charge of... um, actually, I’m not sure,” Taki muttered, her words trailing off the longer she tried to speak. Soyo spoke, her words firm.
“She could distract Anon-chan, I suppose. Like, while we’re working on final touches tomorrow and making everything look good, she can take Anon everywhere until she gets to my apartment.” Taki’s chin rested on her hands, pondering. She shook her head in disagreement.
“Don’t you guys walk together every band practice now?” Soyo subtly blushed as she tried to maintain her composure. It mostly worked.
“T-that’s…” I’ll have to kill Anon now. How dare she walk to her apartment together, even if they both really looked forward to it.
Tomori raised her hand, which had immediately caught the drummer’s attention.
“Um, Soyo-chan, I think I like that idea. Except, maybe instead of Raana-chan, it’ll be me. I know Ano-chan very well; I think I could pull it off so you guys could work together.” Taki nodded, almost too passionately. Soyo could see from her eyes that her mind was already set, and that was going to be the plan.
“Okay. Soyo, cake. Tomori, distraction. Me and stray cat, decorations.” She ordered, her hands already moving with action as she reached to grab a balloon. Soyo looked away as she redirected her focus onto the batter. As the oven beeped, signaling it was ready, she gently placed the pan in, trapping it inside as she closed the oven with a click.

Tomori tugged Anon by her wrist, earning a confused look from an, in fact, very confused Anon.
“Tomorin, wait! I told Soyorin I’d head over to her apartment today!” Anon exclaimed. She seemed shocked, but didn’t seem to make an effort to defend herself against the force. Tomori shook her head as she continued to pull Anon, determined to make this right. The members had gone through the plan multiple times as to not mess it up. After band practice, they leave RiNG, and seemingly go their separate ways. Raana would pull her case onto a cart like usual after eating her matcha parfait, obviously paid by Taki. Taki would head towards the station, taking her usual path home while accompanying Tomori. Soyo would walk to her apartment as well, met with the natural silence.
Anon would have gone her separate way as well if it were not for the fact she was supposed to head to Soyo’s today for her birthday. Tomori didn't turn back to face Anon.
“Uhm, I wanted to spend some time with you for a bit. Y'know, since it’s your birthday and all.” She eventually found the right words to use for her excuse, which left a pondering Anon. Anon shrugged, dismissing her doubts.
“Okay, only for 15 minutes though! I don’t want Soyorin to get mad at me!” Anon pleaded. Tomroi wasn't really sure why Anon was so fixated on going to Soyo’s apartment, but she figured it was just couple things. Tomori nodded, promising to spend time only in that timeframe. As the two walked to the convenience store, Tomori ran through the plan over and over in her head.
Head to the convenience store, grab a few things, and walk Anon back to Soyo’s apartment as Taki, Raana and Soyo do final touches.
Head to the convenience store, grab a few things, and walk Anon back to Soyo’s apartment as Taki, Raana and Soyo do final touches.
Head to the convenience store, grab a few things, see Raana, and walk Anon back to Soyo’s apartment as Taki, Raana and Soyo do final touches.
Head to the convenience store, grab a few things, see Raana… see Raana?!
Tomori stopped in her tracks as she saw Raana inside of the grocery store, characteristically wandering aimlessly as she looked at snacks stocked onto the shelves. Anon gasped at the sight, quickly heading over to Raana to greet her. Tomori froze for a bit, her heart dropping to her chest. She could have sworn she was supposed to be with Soyo and Taki with finishing touches. After a few seconds, she shook her head, dismissing her worries and stuttered behind Anon, who was practically interrogating Raana.
“Raana-chan, I didn’t expect to see you here! Looking for matcha sweets again?” Anon asked. Raana nodded, her eyes blank just as always.
“Matcha.”
“Ah, these look good! Which ones are you getting?” Anon turned back to glance at
Tomori, her eyes wide with innocence.
“Tomorin, come here! Let’s help Raana pick out a snack.” Tomori opened her mouth to say something, but none of the words she wanted to say came out. She couldn't label what she wanted to say on the top of her head, but it was probably to do with asking Raana why she wasn't in the apartment in the first place. Tomori nodded and scurried over, kneeling beside them.
“Then, uhm, what about those ones?” Tomori pointed at a circular tin, presumably full of matcha flavored wafer sticks. Raana shook her head in disapproval.
“Not enough. Not enough money.” Tomori pondered a bit longer, and pointed at a small bag of matcha candies, the same brand Anon has always given to her. Raana shook her head in disapproval once again, earning a puzzled look from the vocalist.
“Not enough.”
“Eh? Raana, it’s the ones you like though. And they’re cheap.” Tomori stated as she glanced at Raana for some sort of reaction.
“Not enough candies.” Tomori frowned, stumped. Anon dug through her bag, laying in her hand a small, yet valuable shiny coin. She winked playfully and smirked, an expression you're bound to see at least once if you hang out with Anon.
“I can step in!” Anon gleefully exclaimed, taking the big bag of matcha candies and making her ways towards the register, leaving the vocalist and the guitarist alone in the candy aisle together. Tomori saw the opportunity and caught it with her hands.
“Uhm, Raana-chan, if you don’t mind me asking, what happened with Taki-chan and Soyo-chan?” Tomori mumbled. Raana spoke, no hint of hesitation present in her voice.
“Boring. They wouldn't let me help.”
“What do you mean?”
“I told them I wanted to do the band.”
“Raana-chan, uhm, I don’t know if we can play in the band right now. After all, we’re trying to throw a surprise party for Ano-chan.” Tomori felt her volume drop near the end of her sentence, careful so that Anon wouldn't be able to hear.
“Couldn't we play happy birthday?” Raana asked. Tomori froze in her tracks, analyzing what Raana had just said.
“That would've been a good idea, actually…” Tomori muttered, her mind lost in her thoughts. Anon popped right beside them, waving the plastic bag in front of their faces. Tomori took it as the sign to head out and take Raana with them, as they couldn't really just leave her there. On the way to the apartment, passing the trees and the station, Tomori couldn't help but wonder as to what possibly Taki and Soyo could be up to, especially since Raana who was supposed to be with them was with Tomori and Anon instead. Tomori took a peek at her phone, and it was full of missed group calls from Taki. Tomori gulped and quickly typed a message.
You: We’re on the way!
You: [Sent a sticker]
Tomori quickly planted her phone back into her bag as a few text messages popped up on the screen, illuminating the inside of her dark bag. Tomori jogged a bit, catching up to a content Anon and an especially happy Raana, swinging her plastic bag.

Raana pressed on the button, a glow illuminating her fingers as the three girls felt the elevator bring them up one floor, two floors, and they eventually found themselves standing in front of Soyo’s apartment door. Tomori felt her heart pound against her chest, nervous as to how Soyo and Taki would react to Raana’s disappearance. Tomori moved out of the way, letting Anon open the door.
“Go ahead, Ano-chan.” Anon smiled warmly, twisting the knob as the door swung open to reveal a distressed Taki and a tired-looking Soyo. It only took one look at them to deduce that the two had been arguing instead of getting ready to launch the surprise into action. The lights were on, the cake wasn't out yet, the “N” balloon that was supposed to spell her name fell which left a sad attempt on Anon’s name, it being “Ano” now. The five girls quickly went quiet, so silent that you could have heard a pin drop. Anon broke the silence, awkwardly laughing.
“Ah, I heard it was quite lively outside the door. Geez, what am I going to do with you two?” Anon chirped, an attempt to redirect the mood. Taki smacked her palm against her forehead and closed her eyes. Soyo turned to face Anon, the corner of her lips turned up more unnaturally than normal.
“H-happy birthday, Anon-chan.” Soyo exclaimed, a hint of frustration still present in her voice. Anon glanced around the apartment, her eyes still surprisingly bright.
“Ah, Rikki, Soyorin, I can’t believe you guys did all this for me!” Anon twirled around to face Raana and Tomori.
“Tomorin, Raana-chan, were you guys a part of this too?” She asked. Tomori nodded, a bit hesitant.
“Although, uhm, I think the plan was a bit messed up when we bumped into Raana-chan.”
“Stray cat, where have you been?” Taki’s booming voice broke through the silence, startling Anon.
“Convenience store.” Taki sighed in defeat, walking over to Raana to grip on her hand.
“You know you were supposed to help with decorations, right? Me and Soyo were worried as to where you were. Hence why we weren't ready.”
“Boring.” Raana simply stated in response. Her tone was stoic and hard to pinpoint exactly how she felt like usual, but from the way her eyes were glued to the floor could tell anyone she had at least some guilt inside.
“You…”
“Can we do this later? It’s Anon-chan’s birthday. Let’s try not to ruin this for her.” Soyo blurted, her attempt at a smile instantly dropping. Anon nodded along in agreement.
“That’s right! You guys wouldn’t do that to me on my poor birthday, would you~?” Anon joked, playfully wiping away her non-existent tears.
“Besides, sometimes I get hungry too. I don’t blame Raana-chan.” She trotted over to the fridge as Taki, Raana and Tomori headed over to the table.
“Le’t’s see, what kind of cake did you guys bake me?” Anon exclaimed, her signature smirk evident on her face once again. Soyo rolled her eyes and took out the cake, a cake that had matched Anon’s childhood cake description around a week ago: a simple strawberry cake, covered in chocolate drizzle and a buttercream design at the top, accompanied with a few fruits for the sake of being aesthetic. Anon gasped in surprise, turning over to face Soyo. Soyo blushed at the sight, covering her mouth with her hand.
“Soyorin, did you really make this for me? You put in that much work?” Anon asked repeatedly, her voice growing louder and louder the longer she asked.
“It wasn’t really that hard, I suppose…” Soyo mumbled, her voice growing weaker which was painfully noticeable compared to her girlfriends.
“Let’s dig in! Man, I’m getting hungry just looking at this cake!” Anon’s voice sung, replacing the previous awkwardness with a melodic mood. Raana was practically drooling.
“Cake.” Raana said.
“Stray cat, I still don’t know what I’m going to do about you…” Taki muttered under her breath. Tomori smiled, giggling to herself. Taki noticed the look on Tomori’s face and immediately felt the pink rush up to her ears.
“Taki-chan, you say that, but in reality you care lots about Raana, right?”
“Haah?!”
Soon enough, the whole room was full of chatter and laughter now. Anon’s lame attempts at making jokes, Taki’s annoyed dismissing, Soyo’s sharp-tongue, Raana’s quiet chewing and Tomori’s soft giggles only gave the room more energy than previously. Anon could feel her heart warming up, appreciating where she was with her members. As Taki got up to turn off the lights and Soyo lit the candle, Anon stared at the cake that shone with the help of the candles. The little details she had noticed. The sloppiness of the buttercream, the different sizes of strawberries and the few grapes that still had a small stem attached to it in a rush. Although they were flawed, Anon seemed to find herself loving it even more. As the melodic voices of her members filled the room, Anon sat and almost felt herself tear up in happiness.
She knew well that they didn't have to do this, that they could tell her happy birthday and be on their way. They messed up their surprise for her badly, but without a few mistakes during the journey would that really be MyGO? They were flawed, but they were her flawed members. Anon clapped her hands together, her mind pacing back and forth for a wish as the members stared at her, waiting for some sort of action. After a while, Anon breathed in, then blew out a stream of cool air, extinguishing the flame. The sound of clapping filled the air and each member took a slice to try for themselves. Raana took a bite, instantly closing her eyes as she took the time to savor the flavor. Raana turned to face Anon, then redirected her gaze to Soyo. She smiled warmly, satisfied.
“Happy Birthday. Good cake.”

“God, I’m so tired.” Soyo sighed, allowing herself to sink onto the sofa as the cushions acted as clouds, being present whilst soft and fluffy. Satisfied and happy, Taki, Raana and Tomori had just left the apartment. They were leaving the building quite late for students who still had to go to school tomorrow, but that didn’t seem to concern their minds. Anon sat next to her, wrapping herself around Soyo’s arm.
“Soyorin~ that was the best birthday ever! I can’t believe you worked that hard to throw a surprise party for me!” Soyo shook her head and turned her gaze away, the memory of the failed surprise lingering in her mind. The thought of it made her sick to her stomach.
“You don’t have to lie. Me and Taki-chan messed up badly. We honestly should have just kept the plan going.”
“Well, it’s the thought that counts! You guys tried your best, and I’m happy with it. So, so happy.” Anon explained. Soyo found her hand interlocked with Anon’s, the latter rubbing her thumb on her hand as an attempt to comfort her. Soyo’s heart instantly felt lighter at the feeling.
“I love you, Soyorin.” Anon whispered, leaning her head onto Soyo’s shoulder. As Soyo and Anon sat there on the couch in a comfortable silence. As Soyo’s eyes landed on Anon, she scanned her girlfriend as she always loved the taste of eye candy. As Anon’s lashes fluttered, Soyo felt her heart skip a beat. As she admired Anon, she had noticed a tiny smudge of white buttercream frosting sitting at the corner of her upper lip. She wanted to giggle to herself, but held it off for a bit.
“You know, you haven't given me a gift.” Anon said. Soyo snapped back to reality, the cold breeze of the air conditioning becoming very real to her again. She cleared her throat.
“Wasnt the cake already the present? I worked my butt off trying to make that cake for you.”
“Well… cake is good, but can I ask for another thing?” Soyo frowned at Anon in disbelief. As Anon’s eyes glittered in innocence, Soyo felt herself exhale. She knew she was going to give into Anon Chihaya eventually. How could she not?
“What is it?”
“Give me a kiss!” Soyo coughed in the inside of her throat, desperate for a catch of breath. Anon instantly got up, worried as she patted Soyo on the back as an attempt to help. She took everything about loving Anon and thinking she was beautiful back in that moment.
“Just kidding, Soyorin! I’m not that greedy!” Anon teased, shrugging.
“I mean, it would be so cool. After all, it is my birthda-” Anon’s words were cut short by the sensation of Soyo’s lips against her own. Anon’s eyes widened in shock before shortly accepting her situation. Her expression softened as she closed her eyes and focused on the feel of Soyo’s lips. She could feel Soyo’s thumb rest on her chin. As their lips brushed against each other, Anon could taste the faint sweetness of strawberry cake still so ever-present.
Anon had lied when she said she was not that greedy. She’s greedy and she knows that. Hence why she wants to taste the addicting sweetness of her girlfriend’s lips for eternity.
Soyo paused for a moment, before leaning in closer to Anon’s face. Anon felt the warm, deliberate brush of her mouth against the corner of her lips, gently kissing away the sugary taste of the frosting. The sudden sensation made Anon’s breath hitch. Her cheeks warmed up oddly fast, color appearing on her cheeks before she could stop it.
Even while the smudge was gone, Soyo stood still for a moment. For a moment, their lips were still interlocked even if subtly. You could practically hear their rhythmic heartbeats.
When Soyo finally stepped back, she found herself smiling at Anon.
“I love you too, Anon-chan. Happy birthday.”
