Chapter Text
Kronos was bored. Really bored. Hel, he was actually surprised how boring it is without having to deal with Chronos now.
For once, he's glad he could mess around in the void and in timelines without anyone there.
After a while of just floating around, looking into timelines, he gets an idea. He's been watching pokemon, mostly off clips on YouTube, so he has the idea of going into the pokemon universe. What could possibly go wrong?
Fast forward a few minutes, Kronos is now in a random forest in Hoenn, holding a stolen pokeball (don't ask where he stole it from) just chilling, not thinking much of anything, until he hears a weird rustling behind him, in the trees. He turns around, and out of nowhere, a Treecko shows up.
Both he and the Treecko stare at each other for about uh, 3 minutes, before he finally processes what's happening, yelps and jumps back, said Treecko does the same.
In panic, he accidentally throws the pokeball at the Treecko, and he doesn't realize until he sees the pokeball pulsing once, twice, then stops as the Treecko is successfully caught.
.... I just caught a fucking Treecko. What in the actual fuck am i supposed to do now?!
He stared blankly at the pokeball on the ground. Slowly, he carefully picks up the pokeball, before throwing it in the air and letting the pokemon out of it.
"Tree... cko?" It tilted their head, watching him with an unreadable expression. Kronos stared back, unsure what to say, which is reasonable considering this is his first time talking to an actual pokemon, said pokemon being the one he just caught. Relatable, honestly.
"I.. uh.. hey. Sorry for uh, catching you off guard there. To be fair, you also caught me off guard, eh what are you doing-" He freezes, as Treecko suddenly jumps on his arm and starts climbing on top of his head. Kronos stayed in the position for a few seconds, before reaching out to pet it. "Oh uh... what are you doing?"
It leans into the pet and continues climbing, until he reaches the top of his head, and sits happily there. "You.. like me?" He asks, still petting Treecko.
Treecko nods, a slight smirk forming on his face somehow but doesn't say anything, he just keeps sitting there, looking at the treeline like he heard something. "Did you hear something? What is it?" He asks again, just before Treecko jumped off his head and ran towards the trees, but he stopped for a moment and gestured for him to follow.
He did, and when they both got through the trees, they saw what Treecko heard. A Ralts getting attacked by a.. uh, a Fearow. Before Kronos could even react, Treecko had already hit the Fearow with a move he recognized as Leaf Storm. "Oh damn, you can do that? Alright. Leaf storm, again!"
That leaf storm hit Fearow right in the head and it faints. Kronos considers catching it but he only has one pokeball left, and he doesn't want to waste it. Instead, he decides to take a look at the Ralts. It wasn't injured much, just had some scratches and it looked exhausted. But one thing he found interesting is, Ralts was in a fighting stance, even holding a sharp rock as a weapon. It's green "hair" was also different, more messy and upturned.
Treecko jumped back on top of his head, standing with a razor leaf in hand. Ralts seemed to be tired out, and it slowly puts down the sharp rock and sits down on the ground.
Kronos and Treecko glanced at each other. What were they supposed to do now? They could just leave the Ralts alone, but something about it felt off, the former could feel it somehow.
Eventually, Kronos took a step towards the Ralts, careful not to startle it. "Hey... you good?"
At his words, the pokemon looks up and nods, standing up and holding the sharp stone in a reverse grip, though it doesn't seem to be threatening him with it, just showing off. "That's kinda cool. Don't you agree, buddy?" He looks up at Treecko, who nods again, and gives a thumbs up, as much as he can do with his hands.
The Ralts looked happy, making squeaky sounds and running up to him. It points at the spare pokeball in his pocket. "... Uh, you want me to catch you or.. what?" Treecko hits the top of his head with it's tail, sighing and pointing at the other pokemon. "Treecko treecko treecko, treecko!" It yelled, though Kronos couldn't understand whatever it was saying, he's pretty sure it means "just catch it already". He looks at the Ralts again, this time with the pokeball in hand. He tosses it at the pokemon, successfully catching it. He picks up the pokeball, before tossing it in the air and letting Ralts out of it in a flash of reddish energy.
"Uhhm.. oh. I guess you wanna be in my pocket. It's probably nice and cozy there, huh." He sounded awkward as Ralts jumped into his jacket's pocket, making itself comfortable there. Kronos sighed, thinking of a way to explain cross universe travel to these two pokemon.
Fast forward because am lazy
Treecko didn't react much, just continued sitting on top of his head and chewing that twig he always had in his mouth. Ralts stared at him like he was crazy, but it seemed to be in awe. "Alright you two, better hold on because this might be... rough." The second he said that, Treecko slid down from his head and held on to his jacket's hood, and thank the gods he did because one moment they're just standing there and the second they're gone.
They reappear in Elysium, right under the tree where Kronos and Saturn first met, and both pokemon didn't seem to be affected much, just a bit shaken up. And the first thing Kronos noticed was Saturn leaning on the other side of the tree, he probably haven't noticed him yet.
Just in time, he thought. He can't wait to see Saturn's face when he shows him Treecko and Ralts. He's had a slight hyperfixation on pokemon for the last few months, and Saturn's starting to get into it as well.
"Hey, Sat. What're you doing?" He asked, overly casual for someone who has a Treecko on their head and a Ralts in their pocket. The other guy jumps back, surprised by his sudden appearance. "Can you not do that? Oh well, I wasn't really doing anything... what the fuck? Why do you have.... is that a pokemon?!" The shock in his voice was enough to make Kronos snicker. He's loving every moment of this already. "Yeah. They are. I decided to mess around a bit. Oh well, you probably already know who these two are."
Saturn rubbed his head. "The one on your head's that grass type Hoenn starter, it's... Treecko, I think. And the one on your pocket.. is it Ralts or did I get it mixed up?"
"You're... right! You got them both right, wow. I'm actually impressed. You know what would be fun, though?" The other guy looked confused. "Uh... what?" Kronos smirked and looped an arm over his partner's shoulder. "If we both went back into that universe. It's not that bad, and hey, you could catch a few pokemon yourself! So, what you think?"
Saturn considered it. That would be fun, but he's a bit concerned. Either way, he's convinced.
Just two guys casually going to another universe to catch pokemon. Isn't that kool?
