Chapter Text

Dear Teresa,

It is my sincerest hope that this letter finds you well. Before you wonder how I found you, you will also wonder about where I'm sending this letter from. My dear, that must remain a secret.

I wanted to tell you I'm fine, and not to worry about me. I'm someplace safe and peaceful, with blue skies and summer heat toasting me up. I miss you, by the time you receive this letter it would have been months since we saw last each other. I had to run without a proper goodbye, I'm sorry. It isn't enough, not by a long shot, I know, but for now, please understand the reasons I did what I had to do. I wish you didn't have to deal with the consequences of my actions though, I owe you a great deal and my life is forever in your debt.

Another consequence that I hadn't predicted is a lack of good tea. I'm surrounded by coffee drinkers who judge me unfairly for not liking the beverage. When I did find a place that brews me tea, it was not to my liking. I went to complain and the café owner let me brew my own cups in exchange for me teaching him my egg secrets. A fair deal because I do get to enjoy good eggs for breakfast on the regular.

The locals are friendly and curious. There are a lot of boys running about in their shorts and I entertain them with coin tricks. Their childish glee makes me content.

Things are as well as they can be under the circumstances.

I wish this letter gives you some semblance of peace. Take care of yourself, eat well and sleep well.

Yours,

U no hoo

Notes:

This is the first letter, and it is taken from a chapter of my ongoing fic. I feel like I will add more letters as time goes, as an outlet to test how well I can read Jane
