Jade West hates her college and it’s only her first week here.
She hates the dorm that she was sharing the same air with her roommate – she didn’t even bother herself to know about her roommate, Maddy or Maddie? Who gives a fuck anyway? – she hates the cafeteria and most of all she hates the frat boys who tried to hitting on her. It wasn’t necessary to transfer here but who she was fooling? She loved this college at first.
That was the only problem that she was mentally dealing with it? No!
She always wanted to be here in the first place. Only a foolish excuse could’ve changed her mind back in Hollywood art’s days. Her teachers knew she wanted to be here, her friends knew, her ex-boyfriend Beck knew and most important the only reason she refused to move on from her path and goals knew this – Tori Vega!
Tori, sweet tori, the Vega girl who cheered her on, who helped her to prepare for here and now she was the one who was living her dream, here, in this college. It wasn’t a big surprise at all, Tori always had everything she wanted. A lead role in a show. Attention. This college and Jade herself!
Jade knew Tori loved her and it wasn’t a secret at all - Tori always gave Jade every single sign available to let her know, of course Jade wasn’t dumb she could see all those dorky, silly, stupid things Tori did for her. From comforting Jade in her on-again, off-again break-ups with Beck to cooking questionable Sushi meals for her just because “She felt she needed one”!!
West finally confronted her and asked, “Vega, are you trying to hit on me?’ And what did Tori give her instead of a confused deer in the headlights face? A yes!
Stupid Vega… girl doesn’t even try to hide or be shy about it. But maybe that was because Jade once said she preferred brave girls, didn’t mean it like that though (she loved the shy and dorky Tori too!
‘Fine, Sunny’s diner, 7 pm sharp so you better not be there late.’ she said and that was the only sweet butterfly effect in her life which she caused it, now it was eating her soul up.
They were dating for one year and a half, until the day arrived and Jade snapped out. She saw Tori’s smiles when they were catching their gazes in classroom. Jade heard some kids at hollywood’s arts says ‘she doesn’t deserve Tori at all, not with that personality’ so Jade made it worse for herself and for her sick mind. Not with that personality. Not with that family. Not with that behavior. Tori never realized that – No, she’d ignored the gossips and tried to have some peace with it, unlike Jade, she was suffering. She thought this was never an good idea, she can’t never make her happy and slowly the idea of ‘being a bad girlfriend’ moved on from Jade to Tori.
Jade asked herself ‘why she doesn’t give a fuck about rumors?’
‘why she’s still happy?’
‘why she keeps looking at me like I’m the necklace she finally succeed to buy and she won’t ever throw it away?’
‘why can’t see I’m actually afraid of this relationship?’
Maybe because she never cared at all about Jade and the relationship!
She puzzled it, Tori always got everything, starts with this Highschool of arts and talents. What if she only wanted Jade just to feel something is belong to her or some stupid teenager excuse – but wasn’t Jade the one who was giving silly excuses to herself to avoid this relationship? Probably not, she’s never wrong. Yes, Tori wanted her for everything except the love, it was all a show wasn’t it? She even had a plan to get in her college, that reveal didn’t end up well.
Tori surprised her with a smile and what Jade said? ‘You, Tori Vega, the girl who had plans for over ten colleges dropping all of them off just to get in my college?’
‘I thought you’d be happy about it-‘ Tori was confused, she was ALWAYS confused about everything. The performance. The method of acting. Some inside references in classes kids used to say and she had no choice but to ask. Like a dumb girl she was in Jade’s eyes.
‘Yeah, happy, Look Vega, this is my HAPPY face, satisfied now?’ She looked at her and crumpled her apply paper. ‘You know what? Good luck with that babe, you won, you finally got the only thing I could have had it for my own, don’t try to be dumb there like here too’
She remembered how she broke up with Tori and how she felt empty after that. She always had Tori’s shoulder to cry on after breaking up with Beck but whose shoulder was going to hide’s Jade’s pain this time? No one.
She saw her after three years in the hallways, passing with some girls discussing about a new movie which was coming in next week. She saw this moment coming for her one day but didn’t want that like that. Tori didn’t notice the girl who was directly staring at her, the girl who once she was looking at her the same way Jade does now when Jade was with Beck.
She saw her TheSlap page, she was in a sorority with some girls, classic Tori have been seeking attention the second she walked on this hallway. She bet with herself that she was some queen bee shit in this hellhole with a ‘little miss perfect’ attitude. But screw all of this she still wanted to kiss her soft small lips so bad enough that will make both of them beg for air.
What if she really didn’t saw her in the hallway and what if she did? The important question was why does she care??
She shouldn’t … cause at the end Tori never thinks about her. Never.
