Work Text:
Reader sat at their desk in the quaint cabin of Azure and Two-time, typing away at their work, they let out whine before lifting the rim of their dress up. They swore they could feel some sort of bug crawling on them. Their legs are scattered with scratch marks an- EEEK! They whip their head around at the speed of light from the sound of a light chittering, even though it wasn't real.
Azurewrath who was whipping up some crackers with jam to snack on (like a true brit) in the kitchen, jolted out of the room to look at you from the hallway. "Wh-are you okay?!?" He bumbled, sort of nervously. You looked at him like a kicked dog, a sad mix of shame. You date a gardener and a gatherer, how could you possibly be so paranoid about bugs?
His face softened quite a bit and jogged right up to you. Reader groaned and rubbed their back vigorously at the sensation of a tickle running up their spine. Azure saddened at your distress and whisked you up off of you chair. You squeaked when he held you up but then giggled at the prospect. "Okay my legs are gonna give out.." They put you down with a huff.
You swiped a bit off dirt that got from his gloves onto you off your hip. He walked back to the kitchen with you following, "Alrighty, what's gotcha all hopped up." He went back to straining his tea. Reader explained in THOROUGH detail the constant feeling of bugs everywhere, how it always scared them half to death. You can't sit in your bed without the feeling of bugs covering you and how horrible it all is.
Azure rubbed your shoulder. "Ughn...sucks man..." He tapped at his chin, he wasn't all too good at comforting. "Y-you know, Time's coming back home with a basket o' goodies later!" Azure didn't know what he was going to do with said statement but it seemed to perk you up a bit so it was good enough for him.
Reader scratched at their back again, Azure sighed. "You know what!" He clasped his hands together disney movie style, "I'll have Times perform like...a cleansing ritual on you! Candles and all that jazz, banish all the bugs from your body!" He said proudly, but you didn't think it would work.
"How about a bath? I'm positive that'll work!" Reader told him that the bugs would just come back. "Well then you can bath again!" "You do bath everyday right?" You shrugged. "Uhhh....You want me to watch ya?" He nudged you gently, trying to get you to giggle at the least.

Around later in the evening, you were sitting on your chair, the feeling of the couch brought bugs and so did the bed. The chair would make you think that every once in a while too but it was at least a little better. You tried your hardest, your very best but you couldn't ignore the constant buzzing and feelings of moving on your skin to the point you'd try to scratch it off. The dread you'd feel along the tingle of an imaginary insect was terrifying. Two-Time sat across from you, enjoying a book.
You typed away on your laptop but suddenly your phone rang out with at least 5 notifications from Azure. Reader checked it and it was a rather large, frankly well crafted list of ideas on how to keep the noise of insects down. Two-time giggled, "Did you get it? I helped with the third one." You could tell, it wasn't the usual, jUsT sToP tHinKinG aBoUt iT but tailored to what would work for you.
"Put on music so loud and noisy you forget about the bugs" "Repeat a mantra with your eyes closed" "Look up, "what are the exact odds of a beetle being on me right now" "Ask me to cuddle you and play with your hair- i mean check for bugs"
Azure popped out from behind the door, "I just ran a bath, you should probably take one. "Talking to you Times!" He snickered playfully.
They definitely didnt fix the problem, but they helped at least a little.
