Set along the coastal island of Shix, a small island ruled by the emperors sat as the waves crashed against the rocky shores in the hot summers and the snow fell in the cold winters.
Two small girls were born, one was born to a family mainly consisting of knights and higher powers, while the other was born in a small village not far from the castle where her family has ran a small flower shop for generations.
However they would cross paths at the small “Ellis Flower Shop” in the village one fateful day.
M:”Hello! Welcome to the Ellis Flower Shop! Please call me over if you need anything!
A:”Hello!:)”
Andi walked around the shop as she saw how the flowers had so many different contrasts to the world she grew up with. The flowers were filled with bright bulging colors and some muted shades as you could see how much work was put into them, as if they were a lifeline.
The shop worker was at the counter packaging a small bouquet filled with different sunflowers as she smiled and hummed at tune, clearly having a passion for handling the nature and flowers. Once Andi noticed she was done, she walked up to the counter,
A:”Hello, would you happen to have any lavender colored flowers? Possibly anything the could substitute?”
Andi noticed how pretty the worker looked with soft muted grey eyes the contrasted with the muted gold of hers….nevermind thats not something she needs to worry about right now, she was in uniform after all.
M:”Hmm..I believe we do in the field outside. Would you like me to take you?”
A:”Um..sure thank you.”
Andi followed the worker into a field of bright flowers of all kinds. They slowly blew in the sunset breeze as she watched the worker walk to a section of the field and noticed her long black hair blew against the breeze, unlike Andi’s short grey. They slowly warm orange and pink glow made everything around them bathe in the colors of the sunset.
M:”These are the current ones that are out here, I’m still working on another area for them to grow.”
She kneels down and touches on of the sunflowers in her hands as Andi kneels next to her and looks at the flower.
M:”It’s hard running this place almost completely on your own when your family hasn’t changed a thing about it. Your set on these expectations and they just make it all harder.”She looks up and gazes across the filed, “I noticed the knight uniform, what’s somebody like you foing at a small flower shop in the middle of the village?”she scoffed.
Andi gazed at the field, the flowers slowly blowing against the wind as the summer sun sets.
A:”Ah, I guess I just..wanted a break from my duties. I don’t know if you’ve kept up but, the neighboring kingdom is threatening war on us”
Mei looked at her with confusion and fear.
M:”…What?”
