Timmy Turner thought that his parents had went and done it; when he became a teenager, he thought that it was a relief to no longer need a babysitter when his parents went out. Not that they could go to Vicky anyway; she got careless and parents of some of her charges checked some lasting injuries and she was sent off to prison. Timmy kind of wished he could see her face when she realised that she was an adult now and would be charged as one.
During the Summer; his parents went out on vacation and leaving him on his own. It turned out that they got careless and forgot to pay the bills; along with the fact that his dad went overboard on his tax forms (along with sending them late). The stuff he was claiming as work expenses...
The power went out and the Dinklebergs let him stay at their house; so he was watching the newest Crash Nebula reboot when the IRS came up to his house. Upon them finding out that the Turners left their teenage house in a house without power...
Foster care; did he really need this? He was almost 18; sure he didn't know his finances and stuff but he could do with being emancipated or some other thing...
He was staying with the Dinklebergs as the government sorted things out; his parents were arrested at their luxury resort and their assets seized. Timmy ended up telling more about his care with them than he had intended to.
He was wondering why he wasn't more torn up about being separated from his parents legally as he was... Was it because of their carelessness and neglectful behaviour finally waned on him... Why was this feeling like a relief?
The social worker came to him and let him know that they found a foster couple for him who had bought his old house after the government seized it. The Turners would be spending a lot of time in prison; paying off their fines and the their taxes. This seemed good as he wouldn't be separated from his friends at least.
He was shown to the house and met up with them; he was surprised to find their colorful hair but they looked to be happy and welcoming to have him.
"Hey Timmy!" they greeted him at once with the woman holding a baby close to her.
"I'm Cosmo!" said the green haired man.
"...And I'm Wanda!" said the pink haired woman.
"And we're... Your foster parents!" they explained at once and Timmy thought some sort of familial aura coming from them.
"Nice to meet you..." Timmy said feeling that he should at least get to know him. "Who is this..." Timmy asked coming to the baby bundle with the baby looking like he was excited to see him.
"This is your new brother P... Peri." Wanda explained as then suddenly she and Cosmo then embraced him; Timmy was surprised but found himself returning it. Felt more love and affection than any gestures he had from his parents in a long time...
It didn't take long at all for Timmy to get used to his new life...
Jorgen Von Strangle had been putting up with Timmy Turner and cleaning up his wishes for years; even as a teenager, he still managed to keep the imagination and belief necessary to keep his fairy godparents. Even without Vicky; the main reason that he ever needed them! However the years of keeping a close eye on him for any sign of rule breaking made him realise:
All the bullies he had to deal with...
And especially his actual parents! As long as he was in their questionable care; he would never not need Cosmo and Wanda! Looking over some recorded footage of them comforting him after his parents disappointed him yet again...
His heart grew three sizes...
When he found out the latest bit of carelessness from them; he could tell that Timmy would just use his wishes for electricity and fix it! Plus no rules against wishing to help with the parents' taxes; so many godkids seeing their parents struggling with them...
He quickly put his new plan into action...
Having Cosmo and Wanda come to his office with Poof while Timmy was sleeping; discretely zapping his memories away...
In hindsight; the direct action probably wasn't the best idea. Cosmo and Wanda didn't give him a chance to explain when they realised what he had just done...
A mama bear would have shown more mercy to a human trying to snatch her cubs away than what Wanda was showing to Jorgen... Would put a damper on reputation if word or the footage got out...
Anyway they heard him out and accepted immediately; pretty much retiring as fairy godparents to officially accept the role that they have been giving to Timmy since practically the start...
