Bot and Poppy were laying out on the grass, gazing up at the stars.
"Bot, do you,….. do you know what happened to MeTag?"
"Huh?" Bot turned their head to the side, a slightly confused now apparent on their face. "No, I thought you knew where they were.."
Poppy sighed and turned to face away from their companion.
"I mean, yeah, I saw 'em a few days ago, but I haven't seen them in around a week by now, and I'm getting really worried."
"Well, when did you last see them?"
Both parties paused for a second before Bot spoke again.
"I would bring it up to the OSC, but I doubt they would do anything to help."
"Last time I saw them..? Was out here, same place in the fields."
"I-is that why.. why you wanted to come out here with me?"
Poppy nodded and pulled their knees up to their chest as Bot moved over to wrap their arms around Poppy.
"..thank you..," Poppy spoke quietly into the others arms, always loving being around them.
Bot removed one of their arms and started running their fingers through Poppy's soft hair.
"You know, your hair looks good down.."
Poppy felt heat rise to their face at the unexpected compliment, and just mumbled in reply while compressing themself down into a ball, covered by their partners embrace.
"Poppy, you'll be ok. They'll come back eventually.."
"how do you know that."
"I-i really don't."
"Its just- they're the only person I've ever been close with besides you. I miss them a lot. I wanna see them again and I'm just so scared that they'll be gone forever. I know they weren't doing so well, there was probably so much happeneing in their mind that I would never be able to understand, I want to see them again, I really do, I miss them so much. Im just.. glad that you're here."
Poppy turned back around to face Bot and squeezed their arms around the other, before quietly beginning to cry. Bot just held them tighter, holding on for each other forever and ever.
"I love you."
