Work Text:
𝘙𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘯𝘨!
Tenya's alarm rang repeatedly. Tenya slowly opened his eyes and reached for his alarm. It was still dark out, so he pulled on the lamp beside him. It shone a golden light onto Tenya's face.
5.00 a.m. the digital screen showed. He rubbed his eyes to get rid of his morning drowsiness and slowly began to sit up.
Tenya was used to this cycle he had made even when he was still young. He'd wake up at 5 a.m, get ready, have a run, wake Shoto up and get ready for work. It was ingrained in his mind so It was out of the ordinary when Tenya felt a light tug on the hem of his T-shirt.
Tenya looked down to see Shoto’s outstretched hand clinging onto his shirt, half lidded while he was buried in their blanket.
“Love, go back to sleep. It's still early,” Tenya whispered softly into Shoto's ear. He planted a kiss onto Shoto's forehead and removed himself from the blanket.
Tenya tried to get out of bed until he realized that Shoto was still gripping onto his shirt, even tighter than before. He turned to look at Shoto with a furrowed brow only to get a frown in return.
“Stay Tenya,” Shoto mumbled faintly, his eyes squinted slightly from the light that illuminated from the lamp. The soft glow made Shoto look ethereal.
Tenya sighed. He had an important meeting with several other pro-heros around Japan like Creati and Uravity so he couldn't afford to miss it. But another side of him couldn't say no to Shoto could he? He could, however, try to convince him
.
“Love, I told you I have a meeting today, I have to go,” Tenya softly explained with a caring look on his face.
Shoto shook his head.
“I have to go early, love. Go back to sleep alright?” Tenya gently said.
*Your meeting starts at 10 a.m, it's 5 a.m. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 go to bed” Shoto stubbornly said.
Well, Tenya has a tendency to prepare way too early for any plans he has. It's a habit he had grown since he was little. It was true his meeting was 5 hours away but he felt the need to get there as early as possible.
“Love, I need to go to work early to do some extra work I didn't finish yesterday,” Tenya softly explained.
“It takes you like an hour to finish it, you can wake up at 7, for now come and cuddle with me,” Shoto mumbled stubbornly.
“Well you're gonna be hard to convince…” Tenya muttered to himself
“What?” Shoto asked
“Nothing, love!” Tenya shrugged off.
He had no idea how he was going to convince his stubborn fiance to let go of his shirt without sounding mean or making it seem like he wanted to leave as soon as possible. He thought of bargaining Shoto with a bowl of cold soba but there was a possibility he would refuse that.
Amidst his thoughts, Shoto spoke up again.
“Why can't you just stay in bed for a while?” Shoto asked, his eyebrows knitted in frustration.
“Wha-”
“You go to work early and when you're back home you practically lock yourself in your office while overworking yourself until you can barely stay awake at night.” Shoto argued. “There's days where we don't even talk.” Shoto added.
“I just want to spend time with you, Ten,” Shoto said, his expression softening.
Tenya's eyes widened. He could sense the hurt and desperateness in Shoto's tone. It was true he was insanely busy these past few weeks but he hadn't noticed it had gotten that bad, where it would affect the man he loved.
“Please, just 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺” Shot pleadingly said.
Tenya knew there was no way he could refuse that look on his fiance's face.
He sighed as he turned off the light and got back in bed. Shoto, seemingly pleased, covered Tenya inside the blanket.
Tenya placed his hand around Shoto's upper arm as Shoto rested his head under Tenya's neck, their legs tangled under the sheets.
“Sho,”
Shoto looked up at him. Tenya had a guilty and apologetic expression plastered on his face as he spoke.
“I'm sorry if I made you feel that way,” Tenya started. “I'll try to stop overworking myself and spend more time with you alright?” Tenya proposed.
Shoto sighed.
“That's fine by me,” Shoto said. “I guess I should've told you earlier,” Shoto said while laughing slightly.
Tenya furrowed his brows.
“I thought I told you to stop apologizing all the time,” Tenya said.
“Just a habit,” Shoto giggled.
The two stayed like that for a few minutes, feeling each other's warmth. Both of them could stay like this forever in each other's arms.
“Love, do you want to go to that one soba shop nearby?” Tenya whispered softly.
Tenya felt a slight nod from Shoto.
.
He could hear the light snores from Shoto as he slept peacefully. Tenya slowly placed his hand in Shoto's hair, ruffling it slightly. He pressed a kiss onto Shoto as he rested his head onto Shoto's.
A few minutes passed and both the men were completely asleep in each other's arms, buried in the thick blanket like some safe haven.
.
𝘙𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘯𝘨! 𝘙𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘯𝘨! 𝘙𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘪𝘯𝘨!
Tenya opened his eyes. The light from outside and someone calling him indicated something bad.
He slowly sat up and grabbed his phone on the table, careful not to wake his fiance next to him.

Oh fuck.
Tenya slowly accepted the phone call from Tensei, putting his phone slightly away from his ear. He knew he was going to get absolutely obliterated by his big brother but well, what can he do now?
“TENYA!!!”
Shoto seemed to wake up from the loudness of Tenya and Tensei's phone call, opening his eyes and sitting up from the bed.
“Where are you? The meeting is gonna start in like, 5 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘴! Don't tell me it's traffic cause' the road is empty!” Tensei asked panicking.
Tenya opened his mouth to speak until he saw an outstretched hand take his phone.
“Sorry Tensei-san, Tenya’s not feeling well today so he'll have to miss the meeting. I'm sorry I didn't give an earlier head's up.” Shoto calmly said.
Tenya froze as he tried to hear what his brother said on the other line.
“Ah- Shoto-kun, sorry for giving you an earful just now. It's kinda odd he didn't tell me earlier.” Tensei said “Well take care of him alright? You take care too okay? I'll see ya guys this week!” Tensei exclaimed, sounding much more relieved.
“Will do, Tensei-san. Take care too” Shoto calmy said, hanging up the phone after.
Shoto threw the phone onto the bed and pushed Tenya onto the bed with him ontop of him.
“S-shoto! Why'd y-you lie to him?!” Tenya exclaimed, his face flustering.
“Do you want to get scolded by Tensei-san?” Shoto asked, burying his head under Tenya's neck.
“I guess not,” Tenya hesitantly said.
“Exactly,”
There was no way Tenya was going to go to work today so today could count as his day off.
Maybe skipping work for a day wouldn’t be so bad for Tenya after all.
That morning was spent with the two men stuck together like glue.
