Lloyd was curled up on the soft bedsheets of his nest, with a slow breathing, hugging a dinosaur plushie tightly.
The monestary was empty for today, as Lloyd, early on, had given Mister Frohicky a day off to rest, and the rest of the ninja were on a outside mission to help the city folk, all except for Kai. Lloyd asked to take the day off, as he had been working extensively these last times, and he wanted some semi-alone moments, although what he even did was still a secret to all of the other ninja, once again, all except for Kai, whom he trusted the most.
Kai did still playfully tease him about it, but he promised he would never judge Lloyd, and that he would even take care of him if needed, it's not like he hasn't taken care of toddlers before, and he would even be more glad to help his little sibling.
Whoever, Lloyd's peaceful moment would soon come to a end, as he slowly arises from his sleepy state, as he felt something cold and wet in between the sheets, he removes them from over his body, and its met with a small puddle.
He starts flushes and starts whining, thinking and insulting himself. Lloyd, what the fluff! You're supposed to be a big boy, but it seems like you can't even wait and hold yourself, shame on you!
Tears start to run down on his face, his eyes redden, he starts to full on cry, as he held the dinosaur plushie in his arms closely as possible. Maybe it wouldn't judge him, or would it? He didn't know anymore, it seemed like the whole world was now laughing at his face.
Whoever, Lloyd was met with the sound of quick footsteps, and soon enough a knock on the door.
" Lloyd? " Kai's voice could be hard, in a worried tone " Lloyd, is everything alright? "
Lloyd sniffled, he wasn't sure or whether to reply or not, maybe Kai would also make fun of him after all. Kai was known for his sometimes cruel humor with the others, would it be any different now ? And what even moved Lloyd to think it would be?
Whoever, he knew he couldn't leave Kai waiting, reluctantly, he replied.
" Nooo.." He lied, trying to still hold his tears
Whoever, Kai could see through Lloyd facade, he was a bad liar after all, and always had been.
He gently opened the door, and his eyes met with Lloyd's gaze, he stood there for a moment, before opening the door a bit more still looking and Lloyd , and trying to identify the problem in question. Maybe he had a nightmare? Those seemed rather frequent was Lloyd was little, he sighs, and walks up to him, and bends down to his knees, trying to seem less threatening
" Lloyd, please tell me what happened." He asked once again, and patiently awaited for a response
Lloyd couldn't help but stay silent, he looks back at the puddle under his legs and flushes, and tries to hide his face with his hands, wanting to avoid any eye contact with Kai.
Kai, surprised by the gesture, looks up to the same direction as Lloyd, and notice the large stain, he sighs once again, and offers his hand to Lloyd.
" Its okay Lloyd " He reassures " I'm not mad, I promise "
Lloyd puts his hands down, and he sniffles once again, before contesting what he just said.
" Bwut I'm suppowed to be a big boy, I shuldnt be wetting my own bed!" He whined, his face still completely red from embarrassment
" Accidents happen Lloyd, its okay" He replies, still offering his hand " Come on, let's get you some new clothing, and a new bedsheet, you don't want to stay dirty don't you?" He playfully teases
Kai was right, he didn't want to continue to stay on there, maybe some new soft clothing to wear seemed like the best option in that moment, maybe he could even wear his favorite sweater: A pink one with a grey cat printed on it, and he really wore it on these few occasions when he was little.
Lloyd holds Kai's hand, and jumps off the bed, leaving his dinosaur plushie behind. Kai's hand is warm, very very warm, although he could also feel the sweat that occurred in consequence of Kai spending all of this time playing videogames.
Kai leads Lloyd out of the bedroom, eventually traversing between the corridors. Lloyd distracts himself by looking at the photos that were hang up in the walls, although he sometimes coudnt recognize himself, was he really that big? He is sure he is at least half of Kai's height, but that was a subject for another day.
As they eventually arrive the bathroom, Kai let's go of Lloyd's hand, before looking at him once again, making a sweet smile.
" Do you need any help? I can help with anything if you want " He asks
" I'm can tawe cawe of myself" Lloyd replied, huffing a bit
" Alright big boy, make sure you're very clean when you're done!" Kai laughs, before walking up to the door and closing it, leaving Lloyd alone.
Lloyd takes off his clothing, a large green shirt with large black pants, he didn't quite understand his love for large clothing.
Although he wouldn't like to admit it, he quite struggled to clean himself, he didn't like the feeling of the sponge onto his skin, and it felt like he struggled to reach his back. It didn't help that the many battle scars he had still hurt to touch sometimes, but he still went through the hardships, and finished cleaning himself.
He dried himself with a soft white towel, and wrapped himself in it, covering like a blanket, as he couldn't help but shiver when leaving the bathtub.
He walks up to the door and knocks, signalling Kai that he was done.
Kai opens the door, still with a smile on his face, he takes Lloyd's hand once again, and starts leading him back to his bedroom
" So, how was the bath?" He asks, while walking through the corridors, looking at Lyods face
" Gud " Lloyd replies, after all, what he could say anything beyond that without embarrassing himself? He wanted to prove to Kai he didn't need his care, although deep down, he knew this wasn't true.
Eventually, they return to Lloyd's bedroom. Lloyd goes up to his bed and sits down on the corner, as Kai walks up to the closet and starts looking for anything fit for Lloyd to wear at the moment. He looks to him once again
" Is there anything you want to wear? Can be anything you have!" He asks
" Mmm.. Sweata..pink sweata" He mumbled, still shivering from the cold of leaving his warm bath.
Kai nods, and goes back to searching in between the clothing, he picks up the pink cat sweater and some large light brown pants, and blue socks with white polka dots. He leaves them over the other corner of the bed.. Whoever, it doesn't end there, Kai walks up to the dresser.
He kneels down to the last drawer, and looks in between the objects, there, he finds a small wooden box and opens, inside, some diapers could be found.
As Lloyd realizes Kai's intentions, he starts to whine for a bit, dang it! He knew he shouldn't have got those in the first place, he knew that he could also have some bladder issues while little, but he never actually thought of himself actually being padded.
Kai sighs once again and looks back at him, before explaining himself.
" I'm sorry Lloyd, I know you don't like these, but you need to, up until you know when you need to go potty"
Lloyd gave him a pout, but he wasn't really upset with Kai himself, after all, it wasn't Ill intentioned, and he was right to a certain extent. Maybe Lloyd should let go for a moment, it was okay to be small.
It was said and done, Kai helped Lloyd dress up in his new clothing and his padding. It was soft and comfortable.
As they finished, Kai stood up and gave him another smile
" See? It wasn't that bad " He says
Lloyd nods, maybe it wasn't so bad to sometimes be a bit small.
" Do you want to come with me? I can make you something to drink, maybe you can stay with me in the living room and watch me play " Kai proposes, still trying to keep his smile on his face.
" Mmmmmm...okay.." Lloyd tilts his head and nods, before his hand is quickly taken by Kai's, and they go to the kitchen.
Kai walks up to one of the counters, and behind all of those mutiple cups of all shapes, sizes, materials and colors, in the back, a green sippy bottle with dinosaur stickers is hidden. Kai grabs it together with a cup of glass, he opens the fridge and gets oat milk, he pours it into the cup of glass, and leads it into the microwave, he turns the microwave on and waits a few seconds, as its finished, he pours the now warm milk into the sippy cup. He leaves it in a courter, before quickly washing the glass cup.
He picks the sippy bottle, and gives it to Lloyd, who wags his tail.
Eventually, they both go into the living room, and Lloyd sits on the corner of the couch, slowly drinking from the bottle, as he watched Kai's videogame abilities.
