It was a beautiful night, the moon was out and mother's moons stars were coming out from the clouds. They shimmered so bright, like an angel coming from the sky. Manny and Anton weren't going to miss out on a night like this. Anton always had a interest for the stars, the galaxy.
They both sat on a patch of grass, looking up at the sky. It was silent, not even a chirp, crack, came from nature. Not even the wind dared to blow a gust. Afraid to disturb their peace. Anton adjusted his glasses as he looked up, trying to see if he could figure out if there was any constellations in the sky. Manny was looking up at the sky also, yet his eyes always drifted back to Anton. Seeing Anton's fixation on the stars was...cute. Manny gaze stayed on Anton, seeing the sparkle in his eyes.
After a few minutes Anton looked back at Manny, Manny panicked and looked back up, his antennas twitched. His cheeks got pink from embarrassment. He looked back knowing Anton was staring at him after being caught. He saw Anton's smile and heard his chuckle. Manny's antennas curled into little hearts. "Someone's flustered.." Anton teased, Manny looked fully at Anton. "No.." Manny mumbled, fiddling with the grass. Anton raised his eyebrow, "Oh really?" Anton said his voice playful. "Then why are your Antennas curled like that?" He pointed out. His finger pointing towards Manny's antennas. Manny didn't know how to respond, he tried to uncurl his antennas but it wasn't working. "I'm waiting..." Anton teased once more, leaning in closer.
"Hush it." Manny responded, he didn't know what else to say. His cheeks got even more red to his failure. Anton giggled knowing he won, "I don't mind you staring at me. I was just expecting you to be looking at the stars." Anton admitted. "I was looking at the stars then my mind wandered off." Manny confessed, his voice almost at a whisper. "Wandered off?" Anton asked. Manny's wings twitched slightly, "yea...like I couldn't help but want to stare at you." Manny's voice was still soft, feeling his heart race at each word he spoke.
Manny saw Anton's cheeks turn into a pink flush as well. Anton didn't know what to say exactly..he just stared back. Manny leaned in more unconsciously, his eyes fixated in Anton's gaze only. They both forgot the stars, the stars still glimmered with light as they watched down at the two love bugs.
"Sorry, I just." Anton bit his tongue slightly trying to figure out what to say instead of kissing Manny right there and then. "I'm so used to saying all the romantic stuff, whenever you say it..it feels like the first time." Anton admitted, his antennas now curling into hearts.
Manny smiled, his hand cupping Anton's cheek. Anton leaned into the touch, his eyes closed contently for a moment before opening his eyes again. Manny rubbed his cheek with his thumb, Anton's eyes filled with affection. Oh how Manny loved that gaze. It made his heart flutter. Manny felt his heart race as he leaned his face closer.
Their breaths now mingled, Manny's breath hitched slightly. He never was the one to do this type of stuff he was so afraid of messing it up. Manny leaned in for a kiss, Anton accepting it. His head tilted as he leaned into the kiss. Their eyes closing, Anton hands resting around Manny as they continued. After a minute they both pulled back, their breaths slightly more heavy. They both looked at each other, holding that sparkle in their eyes. Almost like it's own galaxy was in there.
Anton kept his arms around Manny for a moment, "Your gaze is so beautiful. It holds the beauty of the galaxy, seeing the twinkle in your eyes..reminds me of the stars." Anton spoke, his voice sweet and low. Manny's wings twitched, his eyes soften. "I love you Manny, I love you like the moon loves the stars, how Saturn loves her rings. If I ever lost you I would look at the moon and remember how she had the beauty of you." Anton continue his eyelids going down slightly. His voice carrying a heavy love, each word was soft spoken.
Manny couldn't help but feel so special, his throat tighten slightly. How could he be so lucky? As if Anton was a four leaf clover, always granting him with luck, love. Anything he needed Anton would do it for him without a second thought. Manny could feel his eyes water up. Anton seemed to notice.
Anton moved his hand to wipe Manny's tears. "Oh Don't cry my star..." Anton requested, placing a gentle kiss on Manny's cheek. "I can't help it, whenever you get all sappy it reminds me of how lucky I am to have you.." Manny whispered, more tears running down his cheek. Each tear was like a crystal. After a moment of Anton kissing away all of Manny's tears away. "I love you so much.." Manny said his eyes still glistened with tears yet they didn't fall. "I love you more." Anton replied.
They both stayed in the patch of grass, going back to look at the stars, they look down at the two of them and smiled..
