Chapter Text
“I just don’t see what he sees in him, aside from his good looks, he’s a spoiled, arrogant vampire that thinks he’s too good to even look at anyone’s way. Keonho is far too good to be dating that man.”
Seonghyeon walked past the two girls, who, in hindsight, weren’t even trying to keep their conversation private. They wanted the vampire to hear.
Said vampire was rather pouty, he was looking down at his phone as if it personally offended him, sighing and putting it away in his baggy jeans pocket. He needs to find his boyfriend.
When you have a lover as prominent as Ahn Keonho, it comes with a lot of unwanted attention and unnecessary drama. Everyone and their mother thought Keonho was way too good to be dating the spoiled rich vampire. Keonho was smart, always an A student, had the sweetest personality that charmed even their teachers, was the vice president of the swimming team, and had looks that would kill. He was the school prince, that had a reputation of letting everyone down gently when asked out, so how come he one day announces he was dating Eom Seonghyeon.
The same Eom Seonghyeon who treats school as a fashion show, that has princess syndrome, and that, according to the students, looks down on humans because he’s a vampire.
Seonghyeon’s ears perked up when he heard Keonho’s voice from the end of the hallway, thanks to his slightly better-than-human hearing, and picked up his pace towards his boyfriend.
“Keonho..” the human heard the soft whine before he was able to turn around. Cold hands wrapped around his arm and an equally cold cheek rested on his shoulder. He immediately dropped the topic he had with another student to turn to his lover.
“What’s wrong, princess?” He hummed softly. He knows the older isn’t too fond of mornings, so he’s usually moody around this hour.
“Didn’t find you at my locker. What? Have more important things to do?” Seonghyeon looked up with doe brown eyes. Meeting Keonho’s, who cooed at him, tugging some of his hair behind his ear, “never, baby, just wanted to bring you some milk from the vending machine but got caught up helping my classmate. Was I too late?”
The said classmate looked at them with disbelief. How could Keonho not see through Seonghyeon’s obviously fake attitude? No one is this spoiled and childish at this age, they’re seniors, a few months and they’d be in university.
Seonghyeon, while basking in Keonho’s attention, gave Keonho’s classmate a death glare, obviously wanting him to just leave and not ruin their time together. The boy raised his arms in surrender and walked away. Seonghyeon returned his attention back to his honey-skinned lover.
“Don’t. You know death threats are against the rules, Seonghyeonnie.” Keonho reprimanded, Seonghyeon only pouted, slightly rolling his eyes. “Whatever, can we skip class to have breakfast together?”
“Absolutely not. We have an exam, princess.”
“So? Nutrition is important, Ahn Keonho.” Seonghyeon argued.
“You don’t even need food. Isn’t my blood enough?” He raised a teasing eyebrow.
At the mention of that, Seonghyeon licked his prominent fangs, as if reminiscing on the taste, “that, my love, is a drug, not food. Now let’s skip, please?” Seonghyeon tried again, with his big rounded eyes.
“Nope.” Keonho chuckled and dragged his lover by hand to their shared class, Seonghyeon whining behind him.
“But if you were good, I’ll let you drink me up at lunch break.”
The vampire jumped and hugged Keonho’s arm, his mood entirely changed in an instant.
What most of the students didn’t know was that Keonho was the one who pursued Seonghyeon first, the vampire wasn’t a bit interested in him at first, preferring to stay in his comfortable bubble of only interacting with two other vampires, teacher assistant James, who was his cousin, and Juhoon, who was a childhood friend of his.
Keonho one day approached him and asked him out, told him he was interested in him since freshman year and to try giving him a chance. And frankly, Seonghyeon thought that at best it was a dare. Cause Ahn Keonho, the perfect guy who’s thirsted over by literally everyone in the school asking him out, and they barely shared ten words in three years? It didn’t add up to Seonghyeon.
He rejected him first. He didn’t have time for Keonho’s games, he already had enough drama with his family to add to it by association with the school prince.
But Keonho kept coming back.
Kept leaving him sweet snacks Seonghyeon liked but no one knew about.
Kept writing him sweet notes on each of them.
Kept tagging along with him like a puppy.
And one day at a parking lot, when Seonghyeon was waiting for his chauffeur, Keonho was asking him if he’d eaten. Seonghyeon snapped, “I could eat you right now, you know!” He threw at him, eyes turning red with anger.
He was sure Keonho would be scared away, he’d just stop talking to him, it always worked on humans after all.
“I mean, I wanted to take you on a date first, but if you insist?” Keonho replied with a chuckle.
Seonghyeon’s eyes darkened, red never faltering, as he took a step towards the taller, “you stupid, stupid human, you never know when to stop, huh? I can tear out your heart with my hand right now and eat it for lunch, while your lifeless body will rot away till next morning.” He laid his cold palm on Keonho’s chest, over his beating heart, noticing the irregular rhythm.
Looking up, Seonghyeon expected fear, maybe disgust, but Keonho was.. blushing, his eyes were sparkling and he was biting his lower lip to hold back a smile. “It’s yours, princess. Eat away.”
The name, so unexpected along with the quiet enthusiasm in Keonho’s voice, rendered the vampire speechless, he knew if he had any blood, he’d be a blushing mess himself.
He pushed Keonho’s chest weakly, “D-Don’t fuckin’ call me that, human.”
Keonho reached out, holding the older’s wrist and pulling him against his chest, “you know, you’re far too cute when you’re shy, it makes me want to eat you instead. But I won’t be selfish. I only asked if you had eaten because I noticed your face looking a bit paler than usual. So princess, have you eaten?”
Seonghyeon can’t believe this human, this guy, wasn’t he afraid that he can kill him with his bare hands? He has the audacity to hold him by the waist and look at him with these stupidly beautiful eyes.
Seonghyeon struggled against his hold, not maintaining eye contact, “let go,” he mumbled, shyly.
“Not until you answer me.” Keonho hummed.
Seonghyeon sighed in frustration, “I didn’t, happy now?”
Keonho hummed again, “I figured.”
He reached up and unbuttoned his first three buttons, “eat.” He simply said, pulling his collar away, baring his neck and shoulder.
Seonghyeon stared at him, losing his voice in disbelief, “what..?”
Keonho looked down at the vampire, eyes gentle but a hint of mischief dancing in them, “I said eat, you’re hungry, aren’t you? Or do you want me to beg? I don’t mind if you do.”
“You’re fucking crazy, Ahn Keonho..” Seonghyeon whispered and tiptoed to have better leverage and sunk his teeth into the tan skin of where Keonho’s neck and shoulder meet.
A wave of warm blood instantly flooded Seonghyeon’s mouth. He almost moaned at how good it tastes.
The vampire wanted to think rationally, wanted to push Keonho away, to scare him, to tell him he didn’t need him to feed. But his blood was the best he had ever drunk, it left Seonghyeon lightheaded.
Keonho was completely still, safe for his thumb that was rubbing small circles on Seonghyeon’s waist. No signs of discomfort whatsoever.
When Seonghyeon pulled back, heavily breathing, Keonho looked at him, entirely pleased. He reached up and held the older’s chin, tilting it up, “good boy, that wasn’t hard now, was it?” His thumb brushed a bit of blood away from the side of the vampire’s mouth.
Seonghyeon’s face, now noticeably pinker and livelier, crumbled in irritation, pushing Keonho’s hand away, “don’t get full of yourself, human. I didn’t even like it.”
Keonho hummed once again, eyes never leaving the shining pink plush lips that still have a bit of red on them. “Then I think I’ll get you to drink it enough times till you eventually like it.” He said easily.
Seonghyeon finally got the strength to free himself from Keonho’s hold, wiping his mouth from the remnants of blood. “You’re crazy, Ahn Keonho,” he repeated. And Keonho chuckled again, “about you? Yes, I might be.”
Seonghyeon ran to his car after that, and couldn’t stop thinking about Keonho ever since.
He couldn’t deny how much he liked the unhinged way Keonho talked to him, as if Seonghyeon ripping his heart out excited him. It should be sickening, but god, Seonghyeon loved that far more than he cares to admit.
So next time Keonho asked him on a date, Seonghyeon agreed. Expecting the whole novelty of having your neck bitten by a vampire fantasy to be over and Keonho is finally gonna give up.
Yet Keonho showed even more devotion, and far more devastatingly unhinged behavior about cannibalism. Keonho was crazy, the perfect amount of crazy that keeps Seonghyeon hooked and entertained. And god was he so good looking.
So Seonghyeon slowly found himself seeking Keonho out first. Waiting for him to call him princess, waiting for him to carry his bag, to ask him to feed, to buy him snacks. Suddenly being taken care of by Keonho was the only part he looks for in his day. And Keonho’s unhinged behavior slowly became Seonghyeon’s biggest turn-on button. This human was simply made for this vampire.
